Not only understaffed, but, the staff never acknowledges anyone. I was in last week, there were six people in line and one employee. He was going into great detail with the person at the counter. The people in line were growing highly irritated, they were talking loudly amongst themselves about how awful it always is in there. Not once did the clerk look up and say something like "Hey everyone, I'm all alone and doing my best. I'll be with you as soon as I can" anything would have been better than nothing at all. One person said "See, he must be used to this because he's acting like he can't even hear us". With zero exaggeration, I've been in this store at least six times and it's been the same every time!! At the price of paint and the volume of business, there's no way they can't afford more help. Maybe they don't realize that if they hired one more person, it could greatly increase their bottom line dollars. I really wish I didn't love their paint! Home Depot is next door and always super fast in their paint Dept....Unfortunately, their paint doesn't compare. Ugh!

I had to gouge a small piece of the painted wood door frame and took it in to see if they could match it, I am so pleased because the young man matched it so perfectly that I only had to touch up the spots. This is one of those reviews where I quote what other Yelpers have said: if I could give this place…read morezero stars, I would. Why? My wife and I walked in with paint chips (one of chips WAS from Sherwin-Williams) with the hope of finding colors to match the chips since we're about to paint three rooms and the hallway in our home. This store was recommended by a painter friend of ours. And it just so happens that S-W is having a 30% off sale. So, we walk in (and the electronic door chimes alert sales staff that customers have entered or left the store) and a young salesman is helping another couple and we can hear that he knows what he's talking about. We hear him (because he's only about 10 feet away and we're all in line-of-sight of each other) tell the couple that if they can wait until the 4th of next month S-W will be having a 40% off sale. We think we're in good hands and will get very good advice and assistance. Oh, besides that one salesman there's a second young salesman in the store at the paint mixing station. He's maybe about 15 feet away but again we're in each other's line of sight. During the time we were looking at paint chips, he left the mixing station and went into the office. His customer walked into the store (we heard the door chimes) and walked over to the guy, now finished with the other couple, to check the status of her paint. He told her it was almost done but not quite. She said she'd be back and walked out (door chimes again). After she left the guy went back into the office, where he stayed. Anyway, we're looking at a bunch of paint chips trying to match the ones we brought in from another store because we want to buy our paints and supplies there. So, we're there for 10 minutes. 15 minutes. 20 minutes. The one sales guy has long finished with that couple and he's nowhere to be found. At one point while my wife stayed at the paint chip wall searching for matches, I walked up and down aisles, seeing what they carried in supplies like putty knives, spackling paste, blue painter's tape and such. At one point, I was near the paint mixing station and I looked into the office to see those two clowns sitting and joking with each other. That's why I emphasize line-of-sight. If I could see them, they could clearly see me because I'm standing out in the open, maybe 15-20 feet from their office. Now, my wife and I are there to buy paint and supplies but not once do either of these clowns approach us to ask if they can assist us. During this time, the guy who was mixing the paint when we first walked in came out of the office two different times to check the paint at the mixing station. Each time he walked back into the office without approaching or even acknowledging us. Did he know we were still in the store? Well, both guys should have been aware that at one point there were five customers in the store but only three had left. As I said before, we were in their line of sight AND my wife and I were continually talking about whether the paint chips matched what we brought in. They should have been able to hear my wife and I talking with each other. After that 20 minutes of paint chip searching, we walked out. We can't understand it why we were ignored. Did those clowns profile us as mere browsers in the store, despite the fact they could see (if they chose to) that we were actively looking at chips. We found a couple of possibilities and I told my wife I bet they could match it for us since they were pros. But they totally ignored us and we will never understand why because after 20 minutes of being snubbed and otherwise ignored we walked out, never to return. Sure, we could have approached them but it's their job to approach US. Perhaps they have great job security. But I did notice that there are only two other reviews for this store; one from 2014 and another for 2015. That's only two reviews over three years and none for the past two, until mine. And now the rest of the story: one my smart phone I found out Lowe's was having a sale on the same exact S-W paints. We went over their and one of their associates approached us TWICE asking if she could help. Well, we wound up buying $315 in paints and supplies, a sale that could have helped the sales numbers at that S-W store on what looked like a very slow day. We got a great vibe from Lowe's and that's where we'll continue to buy our paints.

We knew we were going to paint right away because the previous owner(flipper) has painted all of the trim TAN! Who does that? Anyways, we started in our bedroom. We began prepping and the paint started PEELING off the trim. In chunks! Immediately I place blame on the contractor, because OBVIOUSLY they hadn't prepped properly. We sanded and sanded and patched and cleaned and primed. We painted using Behr Premium paint and it came out beautifully. Covered in one coat, but we did 2 on everything to be safe. Then, we moved on to our living room. We decided to go with a beautiful blue color. We were told, "you have to use Sherwin-Williams paint if you want a good paint job" so, we did. We bought 2 gallons of Oceanside Blue in matte finish Duration paint. We prepped, primed and started painting. Here is where the trouble begins. The paint is covering SO PATCHY AND UNEVEN. We power through thinking "maybe it's because of the color" so, we let is dry overnight and start again the next morning. It took both gallons of paint to finish the second coat. It was still awful. It was striped and patchy and there were places that looked like we hadn't even done a second coat. We went back to the store and got another gallon of paint. The staff assured us that after a 3rd coat we would be happy with the finish. To be safe, I asked with rollers they recommend and purchased the rollers they suggested. Once home we dug back in and started painting. 3rd coat on and things started improving, but, still needed another coat in places. We moved onto the doors and headed to Sherwin Williams Paint for our FORTH gallon of paint. The doors were prepped (sanded, cleaned, primed) 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint and the door looked like garbage. It took 4 coats of paint on the door to get it even. We let the door cure for 2 days(ok. We had to work so it sat there for 2 days waiting for us) Today, we hung the door and guess what?! The paint is coming off! So, we did some research and found that this is common with Duration paint from Sherwin Williams. I looked at My husband and said, "I wonder if the paint they used was also Sherwin Williams and that is why it was peeling off?" He went to the garage and SURE ENOUGH the paint they used was Sherwin Williams Duration. On both interior and exterior (which explains the bubbles and peeling spots outside) I am so angry. I will be complaining to every single place I can think to complain. You don't want to know how much money we have spent. These are the pictures of the progress and peeling chipped paint. So ANGRY
