There is so many vintage and historical items all around this little store such as the 1886 stove and the self playing piano. Not to mention the entire front of the store was moved to its current location from across the street somewhere around 60 years ago. It was a former barn. Take your time to look around as you may find something really interesting. There's also a lot of affordable candy to choose from.

Prefer to go to more local places rather than chains, so we visited Frontier Town. Lots of seating outside the ice cream shop but inside it is very small and has no seating. The decor is bright, cheery, and vintage. But again very small-small enough where a line could not even really be formed. No soft serve ice cream but they had a lot of different ice cream flavors from Hersey's. They also had smoothies. Some ice cream flavors I have not seen before either. They make their own waffle cones as well. My issue was the toppings. Toppings were .65 cents and I got a single scope in a cup. Two options of m&m's with either crushed or whole candies. Looking back on it now I should have went with the crushed because the girl struggled with putting the whole m&m's on the ice cream. She did make me aware that the whole m&m's were an assortment, meaning there might be peanut m&m's. I was disappointed that I only had a little over a dozen or so m&m's and they had to be stuck into the ice cream by the server. The ice cream tasted fine and nothing great. Some of the m&m's were mint and it was gross - I just wanted regular candies, not mint. If I wanted mint then I would have gotten mint ice cream - I sound like a major complainer! Fun little animal area in the back of the ice cream shop with goats and alpacas. However, I do not think I will be coming back here anytime soon. Seems like a better place for kids rather than those that want soft serve or blizzard type ice creams.

So recently they open up this ice cream place inside of the antique store and I've never been more happy about it in my life. It shocked me at first to see a random ice cream store inside of an antique store but at the other day I was excited because I was a little hungry and who can argue with ice cream on a hot day. So me and my sister got ice cream from here, I went with the strawberry cheesecake, and she went with chocolate. I was shocked on how delicious this was. I was not expecting it at all, but the ice cream was phenomenal. The two old ladies who ran this place were very friendly and even offered samples if we want to try them. But I didn't get any samples just because the strawberry cheesecake sounded so delicious and I knew I wanted it. My sister did try a couple samples and at the end she picks the ones you like the most. I'm definitely going to make a trip back out here not just for the antiques anymore but for the ice cream. Next time I might try something different on their menu because they also did have sandwiches and other items that sounded interesting. To me this place is definitely worth the drive every time now.

To start, when we tried to order the Dole Whip listed on their menu we were told that the machine was being "cleaned." Yet, they had a large container of it sitting right there that they were willing to sell us as a bulk item for $5 instead of a $3 cup. If you have the product ready to go in a container, why can't you simply scoop out a single serving? More to the point, why are soft-serve machines being shut down for cleaning in the middle of the afternoon? The cleanliness was disgusting! The ground was covered in cherries that were attracting swarms of wasps! Customers were forced to constantly dodge wasps just while waiting for their orders! These cherries were had been there for a WHILE! Someone really needed to go out there and clean up. To top it all off, when we tried to pay with a gift card with THEIR BRAND NAME on it, the staff refused to honor it. They claimed it was issued under their "previous owners". We even had a receipt for the gift card! Super fun to try and invest in a local business by purchasing a gift card but then be denied using it! Refusing to honor your own gift cards and having an unclean area is a terrible way to retain customers, especially in a LOCAL business.
