A great location in the city center of Calgary near Chinatown. Easy access to the major highways. Friendly front desk staff. Clean lobby area, just wish that they had a coffee/water station for guests. They have an attached restaurant for dining and a la carte room service. Parking is valet for $45 CAD a night but you can go and in out as much as you need throughout the day. Paid parking everywhere in downtown. We had an issue with the pull out bed and house keeping took care of it right away and was very apologetic the next day. The housekeeping staff are so nice and friendly. They have a nice pool and fitness area on the 2nd floor with a hot tub and a water slide. TV doesn't have very good selections for watching shows. The price for a night is ok and a little pricey for not much amenities like breakfast and parking. read more

We visited Calgary for our anniversary and had an absolutely phenomenal stay here!! The room and club lounge are awesome, everything is spotless, the food is lovely, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special! We splurged a little to get a club level corner executive since we were celebrating, but honestly it's so worth it for club access and the views. And if you consider what you'd spend on breakfast each day, it pretty much breaks even. Also the club had evening snacks too but it's such a huge spread with hot food - you could totally make a dinner out of it haha! They change up the items at each meal each day. And they have an awesome coffee machine that does all sorts of different coffees like lattes, mochas, cappuccinos and more. Everything is fresh and delicious. We had a 1-bedroom corner executive suite and it was amazing! The king bed was SO comfortable. We had gorgeous views of downtown from one side and lovely Prince's Island park from the other side. The room has a separate living room with wet bar, Keurig, fridge and microwave. The fridge is stocked with drinks and snacks for a charge. The bathroom is enormous and has an entrance from the living room AND the bedroom. It has a giant soaking bathtub and a separate small shower with excellent water pressure. They provide very nice toiletries as well. The location is also excellent- the Eau Claire area of Calgary is really nice and the whole of Calgary is so walkable. The hotel is right by the Bow River walk, Chinatown, and Prince's Island - so many walking trails and things to see and do. And their pool is just beautiful- lots of domed glass ceilings to take advantage of the downtown views. And they have a WATERSLIDE!!! There are no rules saying adults can't use it so you better believe I went down it haha! It's huge and it's fast and SO FUN!! Afterwards, be sure to relax in the hot tub bc the views are just phenomenal. We didn't have a car this trip so I'm not sure about the parking situation- I think they have valet. The lobby has a restaurant and hair salon. There are so many restaurants right out the door that we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so I can't speak to it but it looked really nice. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and happy and helpful -they even had a beautiful plate of desserts and nice card waiting for us when we checked in to say Happy Anniversary! We were visiting Calgary for a couple nights and booked this hotel. We wanted to be in downtown and we picked this hotel because of the water slide. The pool was a great family activity. My kid loved it. We also added breakfast to our hotel package so it would be one less thing to think about before we headed out for the day. This hotel offered only valet parking. It was $42 a night for weekdays and $29 on weekends. Otherwise, there were paid parking lots and street parking in the area. We did not want to deal with the hassle of looking for parking so we chose the valet option. Our suite included daily housekeeping service. I am pleased this service is back post COVID. For the prices we are paying for a room plus resort fees, I expect this to be included. The bathroom had large sized bottles of refillable shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and body lotion. This was a great environmentally friendly option to minimize packaging. The hotel restaurant was one of the better ones I have dined at recently. The ambiance was modern. The breakfast menu offered a decent selection. We also ate dinner for one meal as we arrived late evening into Calgary. Dinner was good as well. The restaurant closes at 10 pm. We arrived to our hotel at 9 pm and was able to get a table and placed our order before last call. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The Sheraton Suites was a very good stay for us on a recent holiday. They are centrally located in the Eau Claire area of Calgary. They are across the street from the Eau Claire Market and just outside the Prince Island Park. Valet parking only at this hotel. An off site lot is available, but, I didn't use it. Check in was fast and easy. We had 2 separate reservations here, a paid and a point stay. Instead of checking out after the first night, the front desk clerk was able to keep us in the same room the entire stay. We only checked out on the last morning of our stay. We were given a room on the 15th floor. The room was a suite with 2 queen beds. The room also had a living room area with couch and large screen tv. A kitchen area was also available. The bathroom was standard. The only thing missing in the room was HGTV in their television lineup for my wife to dream. Breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were served daily in the concierge lounge. The foods, drinks and snacks were kept well stocked. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and fruit for breakfast. Dinner was a meat and cheese plate and different hot food everyday. The concierge staff was nice and greeted me everyday. It was a nice hotel. Great location. The only thing missing was probably a river view, and HGTV says my wife. read more

We stayed in Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire during our Weekend in Calgary and had a great time! Location is so convenient as everything is just a short walk away! We just parked our rental car with their valet service and never need it again till when we checked out the next day. The suite might be a little smaller than other suite hotels I stayed in but it is well appointed. The King Size suite might be more spacious if you want more space in the bedroom area. My Wife and I checked out of the Sheraton Eau Claire on Saturday after three glorious weeks. It would be hard to pick which aspect of this property we liked best. From a professional check in with Celia and Jarrett to a sad check out with Yang Lu et al it was all great. First off, the location in downtown, next to the river and the park, walking distance to Chinatown and many restaurants makes it luxuriously easy. We didn't even rent a car and instead walked 80% of the time and took Ubers the rest. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with plenty of linens and amenities. Housekeeping was totally attentive and helpful...thank you Anastasia L. and the extra frig dropped off for our long stay was extremely handy. The gym is better than most hotels and is 24 hours which is useful for early risers like me. The 15th floor club lounge was a bit pricey but worth it with an excellent breakfast set up and better than average evening hors d'oeuvres. Joyce in the lounge was very helpful and professional and I only wish I took the names of all the efficient staff there. The parking/bell team was great with special thanks to Victor for his bright smile but all were truly outstanding. The front desk team answered every question about where to go, what to do and when to do it with patience and professionalism (thank you Allan, Ava, Yang Lu, Celia, and all the others whom I should have mentioned by name. I apologize to you. Lastly, Chris Smart the Asst Front Desk Manager lives up to his name and was a pleasure to deal with. A great place to stay and the only place to stay in Calgary. read more

My second time staying here and it was better than I remember from the first time. Very spacious, starting in the lobby. I didn't eat there but there were two restaurants in the lobby area. There was a salon I believe in the lobby as well. The rooms are very spacious. Seperate living room and desk area. Large sofa and chair as well as a kitchenette area with sink, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Large bathroom as well with robes which is always a nice touch. Laundry is available here too as well as room service. Although it's a limited menu after hours. Great location as well. Plenty of restaurants closeby and the river is right next door as well. I spent last night at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire ($317/night plus taxes). My view was of Eau Claire Market across the street. The bed was comfy, There was a nice array of bath products. There was a spa gift bag available for $29.50. I've never seen a shower pouf in a hotel before. The extra roll of toilet paper had a furry cover. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room ... the mini fridge was stocked with water, beer, hard liquor and wine (for a cost). There were snacks in a basket for sale Though I took a cab from the airport, there is valet parking only and it's $29/day during the week and $40/day on the weekends. There is a parking lot across the street but it seems to be pricey too. There are two restaurants in the hotel plus a couple across the street. It's downtown so walkable to most businesses (which is what I did). read more

Great location in Calgary. There was the Taste of Calgary Festival was going on right in front of the hotel. That was so fun. Prince's Island park is next to the hotel by the Bow river. I met a few people who were doing Pokemon Go by the river. Sheraton Suites, so we had suites. Bed room and living room with desk, couch & tv. We even got free water bottles every day. I returned here for 6 nights recently as part of a larger business trip that was preceded by 8 nights up at the Albian Sands Village (North of Fort McMurray) and 1 night at the Calgary Westin. By the time I checked in at the Sheraton, I was already to go back to California and to my lovely Bride. However, the good folks here made me feel right at home, and between their hospitality and the really comfortable and spacious rooms, time passed quickly and pleasantly. Other highlights included: - Meeting the gang at Fionn MacCool's (off the Lobby) for a "wee pint" at the end of the day. - Waking up early one Sunday Morning to go upstairs and do Laundry. As I entered and turned on the light, I startled a "guest" who was probably sleeping off his night's merriment. Maybe he was involved with the Corrections Officer's Banquet that was rocking and rolling during the previous evening? - Gaining entry to the Starwood Members Lounge for their cash bar and free snacks. - Happily talking Soccer with a Brazilian Staff person who immediately noticed by FC Barcelona shirt. read more

This hotel is in a great location being right in the heart of downtown Calgary. I live in Calgary but I even stayed here once and had a little staycation because it was my friends Bachelorette party. We stayed here and had dinner at Eau Claire Market and went to Cowboys! This hotel also has a delicious restaurant inside that I have eaten at called "Flower and Wolf". This year they had a booth at "Taste of Calgary" which I think is good and important because I do not think that enough people go to hotels to eat when really hotel restaurants can be really delicious. At their booth they served: - Spiced Nuts (which is really nothing special) that were gluten free and vegetarian - smoked brisket sliders - grilled corn on the cob with child lime butter and huitlacoche aioli which was vegetarian. From there 3 food items they had a majority that were vegetarian or gluten free. However, because of the nuts this place automatically was not a nut free environment for people with nut allergies and they had no food items that were dairy free. The corn on the cob could have been until they added the aioli that made it not dairy free. Still good though! read more

This hotel has mastered the art of customer service. We stayed with them for a week on our recent trip to Calgary. My experience with them was exceptional. We have not met an unfriendly staff. We even saw one of the staff assisting an obviously lost guest through the +15. The room was exceptionally clean, they have all the basic amenities you'll need for a family of three - and yes that includes a laundry room. That is heaven for a Momma like me! The pool and the jacuzzi was perfect! The location was perfect. It was raining one morning and we were able to use the +15 walkways to get to Scotia Center without getting wet - how awesome is that! The best part is Sheraton is next to Prince's Island Park and Eau Claire Market. We took daily walks through the park and it was a nice mix of nature and downtown Calgary. Food was never an issue. Joey EauClaire was right across the hotel with excellent menu options. There was also Good Earth coffee for that early morning buzz. I think we just found our second home for when we want to be in Calgary. I don't think there's any other hotel that comes close as far as service, quality, and location. read more

This is a very nice hotel! Located within Calgary's downtown core, it's walking distance to river and most downtown attractions. Our favourite feature about this hotel is the pool/hot-tub/waterslide area. Our kids can spend hours in the pool while we exercise in the adjacent exercise room that overlooks (and accesses) the pool. The club floor is nice and the lounge serves up an above-average breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. The rooms are spacious suites that allow kids to sleep while parents can stay up later in the separate seating area. Great example of how a brand should maintain their reputation. From the moment you check-in, the professionalism of staff is pretty evident. I stayed here while visiting a client in Calgary and was pleasantly surprised on how well managed everything was. My room was spacious with modern decor. Bed was comfortable and WiFi just enough to catch up on the work. They do have all the room as well as hotel amenities one can think of. Turn down service does an impeccable job. Another standout feature is the Sheraton Club Lounge which offers daily breakfast starting 6.30am. Pretty handy! Located pretty close to Prince's Island Park and walking distance to downtown core, I was a happy commuter. The local train stations are couple of blocks away. So, bye bye cab. Would return in a heartbeat if work puts me in the vicinity. P.S: Irish Pub located within hotel lobby offers same menu as in-room dining. Nice place for dinner. read more

What a great stay! The hotel is modern, open and airy. The room was lovely! Large sitting area, desk, wet bar (with Starbucks coffee), huge bathroom with a large jetted tub. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and professional. We had breakfast there both days and the atmosphere and food were good, our only complaint was very slow service one morning. Our family vacation starts in Calgary, then Banff, then Lake Louise, then off to Vancouver. The best of the Alberta Hotels was the Sheraton. Right from the arrival to departure, the staff was courteous and respectful of their weary travelling guests. The room was a true suite with complementary beverages, a small kitchen, and a personalized message from the assigned room attendant. The place was well kept and fresh. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the shower had great water pressure. Only drawback, the onsite parking is valet only and expensive - also it took forever to get our car. A nice place to stay on a busy vacation schedule. read more

I stayed at the Sheraton Eau Claire for months, and was treated just like family from day ONE. The service and staff just doesn't get any better than this. There was never even the slightest hiccup that I can remember. Each time after being away a few days or a week, I'd get a big smile on my face as I'd return because I was always greeted by my name and very well taken care of. Once a DHL package was delivered to the wrong address, and the Sheraton took it upon themselves to locate the package before DHL did. Exceptional service, always going above and beyond. My only regret is that I could have stayed there while Flower and Wolf was up and operating. The restaurant was under construction during my stay, so I make my way over there from time to time for brunch or a drink, and to say hi to my favorite Sheraton family. read more

I'm sure this hotel would have been great had they not 'lost' our reservation. I guess I shouldn't say lost, maybe - I was calling around to hotels, trying to make a last minute reservation for Saturday night of the May long weekend. After trying a few places, I came across this hotel, and to my excitement, they had the type of room I was looking for. The rate was $269.00 + taxes for a 1 night stay in a Jacuzzi room. A little pricey for me, but I knew this was last minute and that they were likely almost fully booked. Since she had mentioned that others had been considering taking the room, I jumped all over it asking if I could book it with my credit card. The agent asked for my last name and phone number, and told me that she was "too busy" to make the reservation, but that she had taken down my name and number to hold the room, and would check me in as a walk in when I got there - which I said was great, and I let her know that I was less than 1/2 an hour away. We arrived at the front lobby within 20 minutes and where told that we had a few options for parking: we could valet the car at a price of $26/night, or we could park across the street in the public parking lot at the going rate at the time. My bf dropped me off to check in and went to find parking. I walk to the front desk, gave the agent my name, and explained that they were supposed to be holding a room for me. As soon as I said this, I could tell by the look on her face that I was not going to leave impressed. The agent starts going on about how I was not going to be happy, so I stop her there and ask if she had given away the room. She replies by saying no, she had not given away the room, and then began another speech about how there was a glitch in the system. Being that I was pretty annoyed, I barely let her finish before I asked if there was a room available or not. After saying no, but that we could try their sister hotel, I said thank you, but no thank you and left to call back my ride. I understand that mistakes happen; having worked in the service industry for many years, I am not one to freak out or condemn a company for this type of issue. However, there is a lot to be said for customer service in these types of situations. Had a reasonable discount for a future night stay, or voucher for a free upgrade on my next stay, or any other little thing been offered to me, I would have certainly stayed there another time. But there was nothing offered, not even an apology; just excuses...leaving me with the feeling that they couldn't care less if I ever stayed there or not. I certainly will not be calling on this hotel again in the future - there are way too many other great options out there. read more

Excellent Sheraton and I've been in a lot of them. The suites are spacious and well designed (been in some that had zero sensibility as to how the room was structured), the furniture is pretty sleek with the exception of the couch (stiff). The platinum lounge is one of the better ones I can remember, full breakfast every day and light fare at night - in the warmer season, the terrace looks like a great place to relax with a morning coffee or early evening cocktail. Downstairs they have a pretty good Irish pub; good food, plenty of TVs, and a dynamite staff. Only knock, it's pricey and you are not in a very fun area of the city, at least a 10 minute walk to any action. read more

After scouring downtown Calgary for a great hotel at a competitive price, we landed on Sheraton Suites in Eau Claire. We managed to snag a special where we could enjoy a King Suite for the price of a regular room. After booking, I signed up for their SPG Rewards club which gave us the added perk of free wi-fi & complimentary bottled water in the room. The rooms were tastefully appointed in a contemporary style with a well stocked wet bar, microwave, computer desk, pull out couch, arm chair & flat screen television. The adjoining bedroom was large, with an extremely comfortable bed. The pillows were plush and downy & the bedding was crisp and clean. Everyone working at the hotel was incredibly friendly, and made sure our stay was very enjoyable. There is a very nice fitness centre on the 2nd floor, with large shallow pool (with waterslide! My husband was thrilled! Ha ha) & good sized hot tub surrounded by tall glass windows so you can enjoy the city lights. Valet parking is available but upwards of $25 per night. We parked across the street, which was more affordable & easy. Within walking distance to beautiful parks, shops and downtown nightlife, I would absolutely recommend this hotel for those visiting Calgary or even Calgarians looking to enjoy a nice staycation! read more

This is a beautiful hotel with very nice rooms but be prepared to pay for them - and everything else you might want while staying. Unless you are able to get one of their "valet parking" deals, you are looking at $30-40 per night for valet parking - $30 Fri/Sat and $40 Sun-Thurs . That is beyond ridiculous and I don't know how they are getting away with it. The hotel offers NO alternative parking. They know that parking is impossible downtown and they take advantage of their guests by charging insane rates for valet. I don't want valet - I would happily park in a normal parking lot, which every other downtown Calgary hotel I've stayed at has offered (either for free for for MUCH cheaper, i.e. $10 a night or less). Want Wifi? Add on another charge. And don't expect any kind of "complimentary" offerings from them. We DID have a nicely wrapped box of cookies in our room that seemed like it might be complimentary; however, we didn't risk touching them as there was nothing anywhere stating clearly that they were complimentary. There was a nice array of food ($9 mini-bottle of vodka or $4 ramen noodles, etc.). Our room also had a nice card welcoming someone by the name of Mr. Van Der-something. (Not us.) Overall - yes, the rooms are nice. Clean, comfortable bed, quite roomy. If you are happy to overpay for that, then this is a great hotel. If you're looking for a suite hotel that is just as nice (or nicer, actually) go for the International Hotel in downtown Calgary. The suites are much larger, accommodations are just as nice, rates are cheaper (especially parking!), you get a balcony, and last year when I stayed we got upgraded and had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. read more

Upon evacuating Fort McMurray, due to the forest fires, I arrived at Sheraton Suites after a 14-hr drive from Fort McMurray. I was treated very well upon my arrival. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed. I suffered an allergy attack during my stay (had almonds that were purchased from an outside store .... must have had a high MSG content .... MSG is horrible!!) - Sheraton staff were on top of their game. They got me the medical attention I needed, swiftly. Thank you! In-room dining is exquisite. Love the tomato soup! Prices are on the steeper side, but that is to be expected from an establishment of this calibre. Location - right across the cobbled streets from Eau Claire Market and a few feet away from the beautiful island. Excellent service, excellent suites, excellent location. Honest, too--recommended a place outside the hotel even with competing food interests in the hotel. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Eau Claire. Though its location is not in the heart of downtown, it's also what makes it attractive .. Close enough of center of downtown minus its craziness. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and eager to please ... from the valet to the front desk staff. Front office offered me an upgrade to a super luxe suite and it was beautifully appointed. It was clean, modern and very spacious. The club room access was an added bonus to get refreshments and breakfast. Though a little small in scale, it had enough offerings to be satisfying and enjoyable. The 2 room suite is perfect for a family of 5! 2 bathrooms, 3 beds and a pull out couch. Snacks are served from 4-6:00, but we were late arriving so they gave us 5 free appetizers at their Irish restaurant. The pool & workout room are great. There is even a laundry if you need it.
