I just arrived this evening in Calgary and will stay at the recently renovated hotel Blackfoot which I have stayed at many times before on trips to Calgary. Overall I have to say its always a pleasant stay here. The hotel is professionally run with generously sized rooms, very clean and well kept, and a few restaurants on the premises as well. read more

Hotel Blackfoot - Large room with king bed - Hotels Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

I was in Calgary to renew my US passport, and wanted to do lots of thrifting and antiquing while I was here. 58 Avenue is right near TONS of thrift stores and antique places, so this hotel was super close. While the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and well furnished, AND the food was delicious, several things really bothered me about the hotel: 1. There are NO chains or extra security bars on the doors here. For women traveling alone, these measures provide extra peace of mind when staying in a hotel. Without it, I felt VERY vulnerable-- housekeeping could walk in any time they wanted, or someone else with more nefarious intent. I've watched way too much true crime to not be nervous. Dear management- This needs FIXING IMMEDIATELY. (I see another reviewer actually DID have housekeeping barge in on them, so it's not so farfetched). 2. Don't expect to return to the hotel after a long day out full of activities and relax over a meal here. There is no room service, and the regular restaurant closes at 2 pm. The first evening, I thought it was a 1-time thing that a sign said they didn't open until 6 am the next morning. The lobby bar had no available clean tables, and the piano was VERY LOUD. I went out and found some Edo. And got caught in traffic because of a massive wreck on Macleod Trail. NOT FUN. The second night, I came back and there was no piano, thank God, but the horrific electronica that was being played in the lobby bar was super monotonous and repetitive. Like Chinese water torture. At least the creme brulee was really good. The last evening, I came back, and had intended to brave the lobby bar again, but the loudspeaker from the comedy club drowned out everything around it. I finally just ordered in food from UberEats. I'd consider staying again, but only with chains on the doors, room service, and/or adjusted main restaurant hours. read more

The front desk staff are amazing and really helpful. The room was nice and clean and great view of the city . I'm only giving 3 stars due to the staff at the lounge and restaurant I would give them 0 stars !!! We stayed 2 nights and when we approached the restaurant the gentleman asked us who we where looking for we stated that we would like to eat and have drinks but where told to ho to the lounge or the bar when the resultant was open but no one was there ? It was 6 pm at this time lol . Sooo we go to the lounge and not even a hello or welcome nothing !! Took them 10 minutes to come over to ask us what we wanted placed a drink order got the drink then have to wave down the server causes your waiting like 30 minutes for them to acknowledge you but continue to walk past you 5 times without asking you for a refill or place a food order lol . The food was horrible I ordered pad Thai and it wasn't even pad Thai lol came with a gravy sauce lol Definitely a great hotel just stay away from the lounge and restaurant . read more

I haven't been here in ages and I mean that. I think the last time I was there, it was called the Blackfoot Motor Inn. That was over 15 years ago?!? Since then, the name change to the Blackfoot Hotel signalled in a renaissance for the hotel. Nice renovations throughout the compound. A nice bar/lounge, a comedy club, and a bar that the locals hang out. My room was a standard room with two queens. The size of the room was generous and the update to the room was nice. Something to note...for those of you that have been to Calgary, you know that the winters are dry...so dry you could probably desiccate butterflies without the jar! For those who know what that means, you can imagine how it is. Knowing this and the fact that the water can be cloudy and hard, can they not put in a complimentary 10 cent bottle of water in the suite? In the middle of the night, after a few drinks at the bar, I woke up thirsty and dried out. I felt like a desert loser crawling towards a mirage to get a sip of water. The water would not get cold and no matter how long I ran it, it remained cloudy like a glass with a bit of milk residue that just won't rinse out. I resorted to filling up several glasses of water and to let it settle with a tea bag in it to change the harsh taste. Suffice it to say, sleep was no longer an option. Notwithstanding the water issues, the shower pressure was weak. Lucky there was a wand or nothing will get clean. Skip this part if you are squeamish about body hair...ok...I got your interest...HA! The previous guest must have been a woman who had an urge to FemmeScape in the shower. I guess a heavy hotel date! LOL! I had to rinse the show corners and bottom...yew. How did I know it was female? Nope not from short and curlys...there was a few very long strands of brunette hair on the fixtures and floor. I didn't notice when I checked in as I dropped my bags off and went straight for the bar - yes...I'm a lush. I discovered the housekeeping errors in the morning when I had to wash and go. I did tell the front staff - who said they would speak to housekeeping...yeah...whatever. Why did I stay at the Blackfoot instead of the Clique/Applause Hotel? I wanted to go elsewhere as the food at their restaurant was less than ideal. Hmmm...hotel cleanliness or food...what a dilemma. Probably with stay at Clique/Applause again. At least there I don't get dehydrated (they offer two bottles of water and a sparkling bottle each night + some snacks, and a good selection of tea/coffee) and will be closer to the airport. I also did not have to play CSI for DNA evidence. 2.5 at best. Cheers! read more

Hotel Blackfoot - Always nice to find the previous guest DNA all over the place. Ew. - Hotels Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

No wonder this place got bad reviews. I should have definitely listened before I came! I didn't know much about where to stay in Calgary and we were only doing one night before leaving so I figured whatever was fine. I had no idea Blackfoot was so far away in the boonies of everything. This place is not close to the airport, action, eateries, nothing. I would definitely avoid. Second, they did not honor our request for a king bed which is fine but offered us an upgrade for $100, essentially the price of the night's room. Why would I want that? That seems bizarre. Third, they ended up putting us next to the elevator on a floor. This is TERRIBLE. I should write in my special requests in the future, NOT next to an elevator. We had been driving all day so we were exhausted and had an early flight out and unfortunately didn't do much but slept terribly because the elevator was so noisy all night. Definitely avoid, service was meh, front desk not accommodating, middle of nowhere, basically nothing good about this place except for a parking lot and a bed. Hard pass! read more

May 2018: I originally gave this hotel a 5 star review. Today it went down to a 1 star review because of the experience I had at the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant wasn't even that great but they were better than the food. To sum it up here are 4 things that went wrong with my meal: - my deviled eggs still had some shell left on so it was crunchy - the cream of chicken soup still had bones in it that I was finding and picking out - the buns were horribly dry - my water glass was dirty and they set it on the table!!! It had lipstick marks on it!!! NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!! April 2018: I do not want to give this place 5 stars because when I come sometimes the staff makes me angry, however they deserve the 5 stars they are getting and after reading this review you will understand why. I am currently in my last year University and in the last month of school the university always rents a banquet room in a hotel. ** correction- the students association of the University always rents the banquet room of a hotel to throw one last university shindig in a more formal way. I have served on my schools student legislative council for 7 years so this is my 7th one of these events. We used to hold them at the Carriage House Inn but because it is 100+ University students ... drinking... they get pretty wild so we have been banned form throwing these events at Carriage House. However, Blackfoot Hotel has graciously accepted us here for the last 3 years. Although we are not allowed to rent rooms on the 6th and 7th floor because those are executive floors, they always give us the 2nd floor to have our rooms on so that we do not disturb the other guests which I like that they do this. As for the food at the event it is always a buffet and this year (2018) it was yorkshire and roast beef which was good. The staff is very strict, which you have to be with us. They know when we are bringing our own liquor down which they o not approve of as they want to purchase from the bar however there drink prices were ridiculous at $7 a drink at the bar. The only reason I would give the hotel at 4 star (but won't) is because the one banquet room they have is in the shape of an L. This is one reason that I chose not to rent this room for my wedding because you can't see half of what is going on in the room when I want a full open space in a square or rectangle where you can see what is happening everywhere at all times. read more

[TL;DR: Lock yo' doors. Room service came running into our room despite Do Not Disturb sign while we were half dressed at 7:30 pm and I'm a little agitated about it.] I like Hotel Blackfoot, and I would love to leave a five star review, however, a couple of barriers stand in the way for me to do that. The Good: The customer service is fine, the rooms are clean and comfortable, with full cable, fridge and microwave, the bathrooms are lovely with walk in showers, the food at the restaurants is good, the executive suites are nice, and the special lounge on the top floor with complementary food and drinks is amazing. The building has a modest exterior, but the inside is wonderfully modern and beautiful, and I appreciate the acknowledgments to the Indigenous peoples throughout. There's loads of parking, shuttle services, and it is pleasantly close to everything (to my standards). The Not So Good: There's only a seasonal outdoor pool. When we got to the sauna room, it was not working, and the hot tub was a luke warm bath, and the jets were broken. We inquired about these amenities and a friendly maintenance staff got the steam room going and the hot tub began heating up. Within minutes the hot tub was too hot to bear and the steam room began pumping out alarming amounts of heat and steam. We cut our losses and headed back to the room. Then, after we were settling into bed after dinner, a staff member came running into our room, while we were half dressed, asking us if we wanted room service. I've honestly never been more uncomfortable in a hotel in my life after that. I've never had a room service check-in in the evening, let alone someone run right into the room to ask at almost 8pm. Wasn't a great experience. read more

REALLY, REALLY BAD ROOM SERVICE MEAL... I ordered a 10oz roast prime rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding. I spent the better part of five minutes cutting and prying into it, trying to find any actual beef to eat. I can almost guarantee the kitchen didn't even look at the beef before it went out because one piece of fat -- literally as large as a key fob -- was just dangling on the edge; they didn't even bother to cut it off before serving it. Of the 10oz (which didn't actually look as large as 10oz to my untrained eyes) served, I could only find about 1-2oz of fatty meat to eat. It was lukewarm, to boot. The Yorkshire pudding came room temperature and was either stale or made of cardboard. I couldn't quite figure out which. MANAGEMENT REACTION = FAIL Because the kitchen had closed by the time I got the meal, I decided to ask for my money back the following day. The check-in clerk was polite enough, but obviously hadn't been given any kind of front-line decision making authority because he said he'd have to check with the dining manager. The clerk calls back. His first question: "So, are you staying here with anyone?" I thought this was an odd question. (Truth is, I was the keynote speaker at a conference being held at their hotel. Since I figured this might factor into how they treated me, I decided to hold off on that info.) "Well, I've talked to the manager and he can only offer you breakfast tomorrow in compensation." I don't usually eat breakfast, so this wasn't going to do much for me. (You can see the hotel's penny-pinching logic in play most clearly here -- let's refund him the cheapest possible meal.) But the fact is I paid for a dinner, it was barely edible, and I wanted to have that dinner refunded. The clerk said he thought they could offer me "some kind of discount" and would call back. Hours pass. Nobody calls. I call back and am told that this they're planning to take the price of the prime beef off the bill at checkout. LOCATION The hotel is located in a rather bleak, industrial part of Calgary. There's not much around. The Chinook Centre, Calgary's biggest mall (apparently) is about a $10 cab ride or 30 min walk away. I did chuckle when I was asked if I wanted "a mountain or city view" -- both the mountain and city are really quite far away. It was like being asked if I wanted the "extra-liquid-ey" water or just the regular water. ROOM This is your average, servicable budget hotel room. You can control the heat/cooling (yay!). Like most hotel rooms, it has JUST enough power outlets for the lights and alarm clock in the room. You'll be unplugging one of them if you want to plug anything more than a laptop in. There is both a Giddeon bible AND a book about the teachings on Buddha in the bedside table. INTERNET The Internet is free and, while a little slow, works fine. But there's a cap on the bandwidth and if you exceed it, you've got to call the front desk to get the cap lifted. THE BAR There's a sports bar attached to the hotel. Your average mediocre fare here. I ordered nachos and paid extra for "spicy beef." I couldn't detect even a hint of spiciness in the beef when it came -- it tasted like they'd simply heated up ground beef. When I say I couldn't taste anything, I mean NOTHING -- no chile, no peppers, not even salt. The nachos themselves were okay. I mean, how can you screw up nachos? (Don't answer that.) I was there during the gold medal game of the 2010 Olympics. A local radio station was there giving out caps, t-shirts, etc. One of the contests was -- and I am not kidding here -- "Who drank the most alcohol?" the radio guy asked the sports-bar staff. Some guy, who I presume paid the most for booze, was given some kind of prize. read more

I spent the last week here as a resident due to my condo being flooded and unable to stay with family over Christmas due to visiting relatives. I guess Hotel Blackfoot provides a good rate as my insurance company had no qualms about putting me up here for 6 nights. The rooms are nicer than average. They renovated them a little over a year ago so everything is up to date and in good repair. One of the bonuses I first noticed about the room was that there is an electric kettle in the room. As a tea drinker its nice to be able to get a good cup of tea in my room without having to heat water through the coffee maker like most hotels have you do, making your tea have a slight hint of coffee. The cleaning staff that I ran into a couple of times as I was leaving my room were VERY friendly, saying hello and wishing me a good day. On Christmas day the hotel offered a complementary breakfast plate to all guests which I took advantage of. There was a little confusion the night before as the front desk staff seemed to be new and didn't really know what the deal was with breakfast and just took a note that I was interested in getting breakfast the next morning. About 10 minutes before the slotted time for my meal to arrive someone from the front desk called to clear things up and had my delicious eggs Benedict at my door about 20 minutes later. They were really good. So good I had them again a couple days later. Great job to all of the staff. read more

I've been here for 3 different events, their catering, sunday brunch and drinks with a friend in their piano bar/lobby. I'm focusing on the brunch on this one. The brunch here as hotel resto brunches go is decent, but not really anything too special to write home about. I would say the food quality is easily a 3.5, but I've never seen them exceed it, in fact they seem to usually find ways to make me reluctant to rate them higher. It's a favorite of my partner, because it has a decent if not excessive selection (which is why she hates the Graze), of salads, the usual eggs and bacon breakfast stuff, breads and desserts. I USED to enjoy it a lot more when they had much more cold seafood selection, but I've noticed that they kept cutting down on this with each subsequent visit. Now they tend to just stick to smoked salmon as opposed to a much wider selection at one point. Still, there's more than enough to appeal to your stomachs, and they do use quality ingredients. And as pricing goes, it's in line with most buffet breakfasts. read more

Executive Summary: Patio/pool with food service: menu with good variety, average quality food preparation. Could be quite nice if they paid attention to detail, and got a drink menu. Nice sunny patio, cool-temperature pool, with decent facilities and atmosphere. The Caveat: This review is only related to the patio/pool. We went there because we had a TravelZoo coupon ($15 for $32 of food). The Facilities: The building itself is a little older, but appears to have recently gone through a sprucing up and rebranding exercise. The poolside patio has newer furnishings, plenty of fresh towels, and up-to-date pop music playing to add atmosphere. The hot tub is inside and downstairs from the patio, but was under maintenance (fresh chemicals) while we were there. I'd recommend to management not to do such maintenance on a Saturday afternoon...since the pool is quite cool and even the kids splashing around started pining for warmth! Most of the patio area stays in the sun through the afternoon, at least in late June, early July. The Crowd: Obviously the makeup mostly reflects the hotel patronage. When we were there, most of the patrons appeared to be from a kids Lacrosse tournament, therefore it was mostly kids in the pool and parents lounging. A few mid-20's to 30's couples sunbathed. The Food: The menu is an eclectic mix of dishes from various cuisines. The price range is low teens for appetizers and some entrees, through to twenties for fancier steaks and the like. Nothing will blow you away on this menu, but you'll probably find something to pique your interest. We had the seafood salad ($16) and the grilled jumbalaya ($16). The seafood salad had scallops, shrimp and salmon on a bed of spinach with a zesty dressing. The salad wraps up my overall impression of the food: decent variety, prepared in an average manner, but with potential if they just were a bit more careful. The scallops were cooked okay, but could have a bit more of a seared outside. Also, they could have taken two seconds to remove the small, hard attachment muscle from the outside of the meat (a pet peeve of mine). The goat cheese was a nice tangy addition that worked with the lemon and seafood, but the sun dried tomatoes did not really anything to the dish. The salmon was overcooked for my liking, but I resigned to the fact that many people are used to it this way. The jumbalaya was a "deconstructed" version, with the 5-grain rice in a mound on the side, and a tomato-based sausage stew dominating the plate mixed with spicy chicken breast pieces . A nice touch here was a fresh fruit salsa on the stew, but on the downside the on-the-plate assemblage of the ingredients lacks the warmth (for lack of a better word) that a one-pot jumbalaya magically summons. An area for improvement would be to have a drink menu, rather than just "beer or some booze". We had corona and sangria, but only using knowledge we gleaned off the Web site before going. read more

Arrived at 1:30am and other than them only having a king room that was very expensive the staff were gracious, helpful and accommodating. After the cramp service we experienced at another local hotel earlier tonight were glad to settle in here tonight. read more

This hotel does not look like much from the outside; I was a little worried when I pulled into the parking lot that I had the wrong hotel! The website images looked clean and modern, but the outside of the building was old brick that looks like it's from the 70s. Once entering the hotel, you are the website isn't lying - it looks like they have undergone extensive renovations to update their lobby, restaurant, ballrooms, and guest rooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the room I had was clean and spacious. While off the beaten track for me, I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Calgary for a quick stay since its just off a main highway. read more

I had the opportunity to check out their catering/event services. Although they revamped their hotel with certain new touches they still need to address replacing the windows and balancing their controls in their conference rooms. The first room we were in was too cold and everyone had to put on coats, the second room was inconsistent. The food is overpriced for what you get and conference services is slow to get back to you, they almost seem like they don't want the business. It serves the purpose but is not impressive. read more

It's there. It's not bad. It's not great. The room was impressively clean and comfortable. Bed was a smidge better than most hotel beds but still kinda hard. The room provided the service it was meant to. The biggest annoyance was the pounding music by the pool we could hear all day in our room. The staff was above average. They went out of their way to attempt to help you. We had a hot air balloon ride one morning... which means leaving the hotel by 5:00am. We talked to the staff and rearranged food and drinks to be available before their kitchen opened. They had the "meal" ready (except coffee) when we needed it. They allowed us to have a late check-out so we could have a nap after the flight and recoup before we drove off to our regular lives. The restaurant and the bar downstairs are nothing special. I'd recommend just going somewhere else. read more

Nicely renovated nearly throughout. Rooms are quite nice. I've been to other hotels that have been renovated and they don't quite finish. Here, it's much more complete and nice throughout. There are two exceptions. First, the front / main door is 30+ years old like the building and doesn't match the very nice lobby that the door leads to. Similarly, the Sports Bar in the hotel was forgotten in the reno as well. Food was good and nice TV setup for sports but definitely 1983 on the decor. They do have a main restaurant that looks updated. I got a std room for $97 US and feel I got more than my money's worth. If this locale works for you, I would recommend it. read more

Planned a "Laugh-inn Package" here as an anniversary gift to my hubby. We are on a fixed budget, but as we don't vacation or have much time together, we decided to go for it and rent their fanciest room to spoil ourselves! Our room (for one night), tickets to the comedy show, and dinner were included in the package for $400 (OUCH! But why can't we indulge sometimes?!). First, there was supposed to be a lounge available to us with complimentary breakfast and some drinks. When we arrived they told us this was not available anymore, so they would give us a $50 credit on our room. We pre-paid and headed upstairs. The room was very plain. A suite with a living area, but no couch? The bed was so-so and the jacuzzi was the loudest I've ever been in. Oh, and then housekeeping let themselves in at 7pm, randomly, without knocking. We headed down for our dinner, only to find someone had cancelled our reservations? They sorted it out after a while and put us at the worlds smallest table, in the worlds ugliest restaurant. The decor is soooo out dated. I have no idea who takes pictures for their website, but they should get an award for making their food look 300x better than it was. The buffet was bland and sparse. We were STILL HUNGRY after leaving a BUFFET. (WTF?). Afterwards, they confused how to charge to our room and called me down to the Laugh Shop at midnight to pay for the $20 in drinks we had, though we had a $50 credit? Then, at checkout, they tried to charge us extra for dinner... Even though it was part of our package, that we had already paid for... ?? And where was my $50 credit for no use of the lounge? We were furious. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!! The front desk assured me their manager would call me on Monday (because they have no management on site?) and *cue the crickets* no one called. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. DO NOT GO!!! read more

hotel blackfoot have a restaurant called greens...i think. i try to write a review last week but i couldnt find the restaurant. so i am attaching it to the hotel. all i can say is, their roast is super soft moisty and juicy and tender....if i have a big tummy i would have 2nd helping but there are so much to try...their seafood was awesome too...got smoked salmon, defferent kind of cured fish. for their hot dishes i think they got like 6-7, very tasty. got salad bar as well, their saskatoon rasberry vinegarette is creamy, not too sweet. as for the dessert, fresh fruits, pies, cakes, i love the flan...i make those myself, the difference is that its really soft and not too sweet. i would definitely go back for their buffet. gotta go early for buffet, it starts at 5:00 on saturdays. as for price i really dont know coz this was paid by my husband's company where after the buffet we went to the laugh shop for comedy show. read more

After an incident at a different Calgary hotel, I now stay at the Hotel Blackfoot whenever I come here for work. My biggest complaint is that there never seems to be consistency with my stays here. I average about 1 trip a month with 3 nights in the hotel. That is roughly 36 nights (or a full month) a year that I spend here. There are some times where I will get upgraded to their business floors which have nicer rooms, amenities and King beds. Then there are other times where I am stuck on the second floor with a barking dog in the room next to me. While I appreciate the extra things that they do for me when they do them, it kind of sets me up for disappointment if I end up getting a crappy standard room or if the last time there was complimentary snacks waiting in my room and then the next time there wasn't. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I feel as though I would consider myself a fairly regular guest there and it is nice to consistently treated as one. I don't mind the gym- it is pretty updated but small which has never really been an issue as it is normally empty or close to. I have eaten breakfast there and personally have never had an issue with the food. I normally order off the menu and there is a really decent selection. All in all I stay here because it is close to my office and I can avoid downtown. It is a really short drive to Chinook Centre which is a nice bonus because I can drive over and walk around there at night rather than just bumming around the hotel. For business travellers I would recommend this place- maybe not so much for first timers to Calgary who want to explore the core a bit more. Also as an added bonus it is pretty cool that they have a comedy club attached to the hotel. If you stay on select Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights they have some decent entertainment at a fair price. Something different anyways! read more

This review is only related to the Lobby Lounge at the Blackfoot Inn. I work in the area and use this restaurant for business lunches often. I have NEVER had a bad food, or poor service, experience over the past year. The place is always busy at noon, but I never have difficulty finding a table, or getting prompt attention. Food has been consistently good and service consistently friendly and efficient. (I usually have poor opinions about hotel restaurant food and service. The more high profile, the more lousy the service!) The lounge has recently introduced a new menu which is perfectly suited to a quick and value driven, no-nonsense, business lunch. No unnecessary frills and pretentious service. The two waitresses are great and relaxed, and efficiently service all the tables. I've never had a reason for complaint and would recommend this lounge to businessmen who are on the go, travelling through the south east part of the City, and need a quick, but good bite to eat! read more

Stayed here for a few days for business and really pleased with the location despite the poor reviews. Our room was clean, modern and spacious. The bed was comfortable and outside of one evening we did not hear other rooms. The staff were friendly and we arrived each evening to turn down service. Not worth the $$$$! Room was decent, but not spectacular. Ate at the pub, that was overpriced, and our appetizer came at the same time as our entrées. Front desk offered all kinds of "free" extras, like wifi and parking. Those "extras" always are included at smaller places, and no continental breakfast, that we were told about. No guest book in the room, but a letter directed us to the menu on the tv, but when you hit that button, you see a no signal message. All in al, it was a big boooooo! We stayed there due to it's proximity to the business we were doing in Calgary. Next time, we stay in another part of the city and brave the traffic! read more

My corporate administrative team and I setup our Christmas party this year and decided to go to the Laugh Shop at Blackfoot Inn for dinner and a show. For being charged $55 per ticket and then purchasing drink tickets for those attending, we thought it would be a nice and easy way to do things. We were very sorely mistaken. As a work Christmas party, we were roughly 65 people and we wanted to do a points-based silent auction as a fun way to send everyone home with prizes. While spending 2 months planning with one specific staff member at Blackfoot Inn, we were assured there would be tables set up for us to use for our auction and we would have 2 hours to do it while eating our buffet dinner. Not only was there no area for us to set up our silent auction, but we were told we would have to move the tables ourselves and the staff refused to help us. We were forced to spend 20 minutes moving chairs and tables in our dresses and heels. We were rushed through our auction, told we only had an hour and then WE had to clean up before other people started arriving. When we finished and finally got to the buffet it was cold and inedible. When we mentioned this to the buffet attendant, she merely said "Sorry" and nothing was done about it, nor did it appear that she shared this information with anyone. We also purchased $600 worth of drink tickets which apparently were only able to be used on pop, select highballs, 3 types of beer, and house wine. Half of our drink tickets were not used because the rules regarding them were confusing and the waitresses were not interested in helping or explaining. The staff was barely paying attention to us during our buffet, and as soon as other patrons came in we were almost entirely ignored. For spending $4000 for one night, the 15% mandatory gratuity is laughable considering we got sub-par service and served ourselves cold food. Our company Christmas party was a colossal disappointment. We were rushed through the silent auction, ignored throughout the night, and our dinner was cold and inedible. We do NOT recommend large functions here, even if you are assured a private space. This place will make promises they can't keep and won't respond when you confront them directly. read more

This hotel is very nice and clean. The one negative thing about our room is the clear misunderstanding of what the actual size of a queen mattress is. The advert stated one queen room. The actual bed in the room is a full size. when questioned about it the front desk argued that we were wrong. The rest of the room featured were very nice, modern and clean. Do not eat at this hotel. We had breakfast there, we opted for the buffet which was the mistake of the day. $20.00 for the crappiest breakfast i have had in a very long time. Everything was cold, which i realize it is hard to keep food warm on a buffet, but the bacon was like beef jerky! It was disgusting. the potatoes were a cold greasy mess. The pancakes were rock hard, Even the coffee was terrible. On top of everything, the service was crap. I know its a buffet but the server could at least fill the water glasses (since there was no water on the buffet) or clear dishes. This hotel is OK, if you find a good deal on line. Definitely would not pay full price to stay here. read more

Hotel Blackfoot had the worst service! The server Lisa was nice, food was yummy when it FINALLY arrived an hour and a half later!!! When we complained the Manager Simon was rude and not helpful, he just wanted to argue with us! Bad customer service! He should be fired!!! The chef should be fired! There were only two parties in the whole place and it still took this long! Never again will we come here! read more

The evening manager Sean went above and beyond to make sure our stay was most memorable. Hotel is first rate in every aspect.

Beautiful and clean rooms, my dog was totally comfortable and received a welcome bowl, there's a gym and a pool, the breakfast vouchers buy you more than you can eat and the food is great. Definitely will stay again! read more
