Don't know how someone could possibly complain about this hotel. We received a complimentary Elite upgrade to a newly renovated room. The junior suite screams luxury with the finishes and bedding and the spa is so relaxing. There was no one here for 90% of my 90 minutes and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Check-in was very easy and they even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and note in the room. While it is missing the direct view of the lake, I have no other complaints. read more

Surprised to see mediocre reviews. Sheraton is a gorgeous property, well-situated and very comfortable. I loved the spacious room, large comfortable bed and air conditioning that actually worked - the room got nice and cold! Many rooms I've stayed in across Italy are small, HVAC is ineffective and beds are like futons - the Sheraton delivered on all counts, no issues. I spent an afternoon by the pool which was delightful (I did not have a swimsuit, so did not go in the pool.) Lunch at the restaurant by the pool was great - food quality and service were top-notch. Next time I'm in the Como area, the Sheraton has my attention and will likely be where I stay (loved the grocery store nearby too!) 5 stars read more

There is a lot to like about the Sheraton Lake Como, and over the past week we were able to enjoy most aspects of this property. Their website says that the hotel offers 137 comfortable and spacious guest rooms decorated with made in Italy furniture and free WiFi. A gourmet dining experience at Kitchen restaurant, Italian traditional at the Gusto restaurant and all-day-dining Kincho by the pool, Club Lounge, Sheraton Fitness 24/7, the business corner, private parking and meeting facilities. They have beautiful grounds, with a large pool located in a park setting, a huge lobby area on the second level, outstanding buffet breakfast and a large bright fitness room. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. The Kincho restaurant featuring alfresco dining, is located in the park, and offers a beautiful dining venue, albeit with truly average fare. We dined here several times, enjoying the ambiance more than the food. We also dined at the inside Gusto restaurant, which provided very good service, but once again, rather average food. Why did we dine multiple times at the hotel? The Sheraton is located very close to the ferry, making it a convenient location in that regard. It's also a relatively short walk to Cernobbio (about 10 minutes). However, there are very few restaurants near the hotel, and at the end of our busy villa touring days, we took the path of least resistance and dined at the hotel. Would we stay here again? Certainly, as there are many very positive attributes for this hotel, including a large room with terrace (limited availability for the terrace rooms), updated and clean facilities, and lovely pool area. We think the Sheraton deserves a solid four-star rating on this trip. read more

For my 2 months traveling through Europe this was actually the most affordable place we stayed. It's very well done here, 10 min walk to the water. The room was clean and standard , but What made it so lovely was the beautiful pool surrounded by lush landscape and an incredible outdoor steakhouse where they delightful food was accompanied by a lovely setting and ambiance an tourist would hope to find in Italy. read more

We stayed here for a wedding and overall enjoyed our stay. The property is vast and the restaurant on the property and buy the pool are both really good. The location is very close to the Ferry terminal as well. The only knock is that the property is a little dated and pricey at the same time. read more

Be Warned -- The lovely pool you will see pictured is not useable. They do not heat it so it is freezing. The jacuzzi is unheated as well (go figure?). We stayed there 4 days and saw many people go down to the pool, excited to use it....then dip their toe in and leave. We called the manager, and they say it is heated. Now way. Perhaps they heat it from its normal 60 degrees to 65, so they can "technically" say they heat it.....but the temperature is not even close to useable. Such a shame. We traveled over 10k miles to stay at this hotel solely for the beautiful pool. Look elsewhere if the pool is important to you. That said, their service was great....especially the servers in the breakfast area and outdoor restaurant. Also front desk, concierge, and maid service was good. read more

This hotel misuses it's reservation system and you need to be very careful when you explore booking a room. You can get charged for a room even if you didn't reserve. Then it becomes a legal battle that you can not win. So be warned, they are no nice. read more

Sheraton Lake Como Hotel - Life - Hotels Near Me - Como, Colorado

I came here for a several day training, so reviewing it mainly as a business hotel (which it is). The hotel is roughly a five minute walk from the ferry station making it easy to navigate anywhere in lake como. The service was great, the bar is open relatively late for nightcaps, and they have an on site restaurant. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I don't believe you will find any rooms with views of the lake but it's a short walk away. There is a super market right next door that has a great espresso bar. read more

Premium hotel indeed. The name of hotel is a bit deceptive as I was editing this one to be just off the lake, and thus is not the case. However, the imponent building and the quality is all there as for a perfect Sheraton hotel. The room was giant, as it was the bed and the bathroom. Mattress and pillows was so comfy. Not all that glitters is gold though. There are aspects that should be reconsidered from the management. Car park is 15 euro per night, which is a bit overpriced considering it's not even secured against stealing and or damages. Breakfast. I found it strange the room I had been booked was not including one, but that's OK I went for it. Price was 18 euros, and I'm afraid this was not with it. Eggs, sausages and bacon were cold, probably there since 6 or the time the breakfast room opened. In an attempt to make a toast, the machine was of herbs the industrial toaster that normally takes a while to reheat was useless as I was in a rush. I'm sure that few changes this hotel can gain the four star it deserves. Will try again next time in the hope to update my review. read more

I'm a platinum member with SPG, so I've stayed in many of their hotels. The Sheraton Lake Como is exactly what you'd expect from Sheraton. As another poster mentioned, the name is a bit deceiving because it is across the road from the lake but this is made up for with beautiful views of Como, the countryside and surrounding around. This hotel also has a beautiful Sheraton Lounge for elite members with free breakfast and free beer and wine reception from 5pm-7:30pm. The pool and grounds are well kept and quiet. It's a perfect place for relaxing. A pizza from the outdoor bar is a must-try! The ferry is a 2-minute walk and is 1 stop away from Como at a cost of 1.30 euro each way. The employees are wonderful and friendly. When we checked in, our host gave us a private tour of the hotel and facilities. When she found out that it was out wedding anniversary, a bottle of champagne was sent to our room. These are things that can't be bought and I appreciated the attention to detail by the Sheraton. Although it's a bit out of the way - I highly recommend the stay. read more

My review is purely on the hospitality and customer service prior to check-in (you'll understand in a moment why). To start with, I've been a Starwood Platinum guest for 5 years now - averaging 75-100 nights a year in their properties. I booked the hotel at a good rate long in advance - November 2017 for an August 2018 wedding. In June (7 months after booking and only 2 months before my stay), I received an email from Stefano, a 'front office manager', informing me he was cancelling my reservation as they were overbooked. No other explanation. At this point, everything affordable on Como was booked. Further, no concession was offered, such as booking me a new property and funding that reservation due to their error. This is the single worst experience I've had with the hospitality industry and it was shocking. I was told good luck, fend for myself, despite being a loyal and regular customer. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly will not moving forward. read more

It's rare to stay at a hotel that in reality is nicer than the pictures they post online, but that is the case here. The rooms seem to be recently renovated, the pool was beautiful, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Stayed here in September 2018. Location is distant from downtown Lake Como, however, it is walking distance to a supermarket and about 10 minutes walk to Cernobbio. The facility and rooms were up to par. My review is purely on the hospitality. During our stay, we were walked in on into our room by a hotel staff. Me and my wife were getting ready to go to our friend's wedding, when we heard a knock on our door. Before we could answer the door, the hotel room service personnel door opens and walks in, goes straight to the mini fridge, takes out a half-opened water bottle, apologizes while we looked in shock, and walks right back out. This is an invasion of privacy. We do not deserve such disrespect if we are paying to stay at a Sheraton. We told the front desk and they took down our room number and name, to un-empathetic replies. I mean, we are just tourists and won't be back anyways, right? Remember to bolt lock your door. On top of all this, as we were checking out, we got an erroneous mini-fridge charge for some snacks and drinks. Hilarious. read more

PROS: Beautiful property, pool and outdoor dining, hot water at pool showers, extremely rare in my experience for a hotel anywhere and even better I think it's solar driven. Good Service, excellent staff, prompt service, good location to lake and lake boat station. Excellent breakfast buffet. CONS: Gym is small & not well equipped, Club Lounge is old and small but excellent food and open all day. Older hotel, small rooms, no walk-in shower nor rain shower. Perhaps a good value for Como but very expensive in general in the summer. Under-staffed during busy check-in hours, phone to reception or Guest Services is sometimes not answered or has a busy signal. Outdoor dining at night has terrible mosquitos. Elevators are VERY old and doors abrupt and dangerous, injuring my shoulder while trying to enter one day. Created a huge debaclewith a lost package, ask me for all kinds of documentation, said they were going to reimburse me, confirm that three times in an e-mail only too break their commitment the following day after had sent in writing three times that a check was on its way. read more
