I was looking for a used engine for my car. It was supposed to take a week. It took three months…read more When they were trying to get the sale, they sounded very nice on the phone, very respectful and accommodating, personable. They won my business primarily because they were nicer than the other companies who sent me quotes. But now I feel I have to warn people: If you must order an engine online, my opinion is that you shouldn't do it here. I ordered an engine for around $1000 to be delivered in a week's time. After a month of growing rental car expenses, missing tracking numbers, frustrating attempts to get answers, misinformation, a lost engine, a couple very tense phone calls, and the promise of an even better replacement, I installed the engine and got permission to service it, only to find the engine did not work. At that point, they tried to claim I voided the warranty by servicing the engine, despite their explicit permission to do so. They offered an extremely low settlement, and when I counter offered, they stopped returning my messages without ever providing even a refund. When I contested the charge with my credit card, they still would not respond to me or the lawyer I eventually hired. They left me holding the engine, allowing me to run up storage costs, until nearly ANOTHER month had passed, at which point, completely unannounced, they sent a yard to pick it up; their representative just showed up at my mechanic's door and asked for the engine. What was supposed to take one and a half weeks and cost $2200, start to finish, ended up costing me nearly three months and well over double that total in cash expenditures alone -- not to mention the countless hours and the stress I spent trying to rectify this, or how that impacted my job performance and therefore future employability. Do yourself a favor: find a mechanic you trust who warranties engine installations, then have them order your engine. I believe it's not worth dealing with companies like this.

Keith King gave me a lame excuse that his credit card…read moremachine wasn't working and that his paypal account was down, so I should send a money order in his name. I was supposed to have it for a race the next week. After a week went by and no answers to my phone calls, Keith King finally called me and said the motor that he was going to send was no good. He asked me if I wanted him to keep looking for a motor or refund my money. I let him continue to look, but asked him to stay in contact with me. after a week I called him to see if he found a motor. I never got a call back. Finally 2 weeks later he called me and said he would reimburse my $630. It's been over 2 months and I still haven't seen the money. He is a complete thief. He has now disconnected his phones. I can't believe people can get away with crap like this without going to jail. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH KING'S AUTO PARTS. I am now taking him to small claims court in Monroe Louisanna.
