I have a short haired dachshund and I wanted to get him groomed so I took him to Shelly's! It was an obvious choice for me because my mother has been taking her Golden's there for 10+ years every two weeks, so I knew I would receive excellent service! Marcus does not play well with other dogs, but Shelly's handles him well while in the company of other dogs. I feel that $25 is an AWESOME price and well worth every penny, at this price I think Marcus will visit Shelly's often! read more

Does a great job with our chihuahua who doesn't like strangers. Beth is the best and I highly recommend this team.

I love these people! We have been coming here for years and they truly go above and beyond to care for our pets. Every time we bring our dogs they are really good about helping accommodate their anxiety. Our small dog is blind and is not very active, his nails grow out quickly they accept walk-ins for just nails. My favorite place read more

I have a very sensitive CHOW who hates to be groomed, He has expressed his disgust and loathing of the entire process to not only his vet but every groomer he has had the displeasure of meeting. Growl, snarl, snap, game over. I was doomed to buying clippers and performing the deed myself. My delusion was that he is only a dog and no one would notice my inexperience in the art. Then I found Shelly. Prior to the event, he is given a shower at home. He has to be carried into the shower because he also hates water. When I take him into Shelly's I must stand with him and hold his head while Shelly tenderly but cautiously grooms him to perfection, illuminating the magnificent creature he knows he is. Shelly is the BEST! read more

She accommodated my timeframe and The service was amazing she did everything I ask on my long haired Chihuahua! A little pricey but I would pay more for peace of mind! read more

Since I moved here in July 2013 I had been looking for a groomer to bring my golden to. By word of mouth and a nod from my vet, I took my dog to Shelly's This was by far the best my dog has ever looked! Pricing was perfect. Look no further, bring your dog to Shelly's for the best you pet can get! Mark S read more

I like them here! They aren't extremely inviting when you come but that's ok! They get the job done

I took Phoebe, our long-haired chihuahua, to Shelly's about two weeks ago. I am always concerned when we groom Phoebe because she is prone to ear infections. They were very nice to me and just loved Phoebe when I dropped her off. I picked her up later that afternnon and she was such a happy girl! I am very please with the haircut/shave that she was given and most of all the fact that she didn't develop an ear infection. I say Kudos to Shelly's grooming!! read more

Been taking my 3 dogs there for years. Super friendly staff and the do excellent work. Prices are great and always done when promised.

Today was the last time I will ever take my dog to this place. I have been using this business for a couple of years now and was never fully thrilled with their service. They are not friendly neither on the phone nor in person. They do not accept credit or debit cards which is always an inconvenience. The price has continuously changed from $35 the first time to $50 today. Its never consistent and I ask them to do the same thing every time...bath and nails clipped. I will say, they have taken good care of my Labrador. What caused me to write this review and end my business with these people was, when I picked up my dog today, I noticed he was inside a kennel with his leash. They did not remove the leash prior to placing him in the kennel. They also did not detach the leash from his collar. So my Labrador chewed through the leash and ruined an almost new $30 retractable leash. The only comment I got from an employee was, "Oh I didn't think he would do that." No apology, no offer to replace the leash, no offer to discount today's cost and best of all, no hesitation to keep the $55 I paid for his bath. I guess yelp requires you to at the very least pick 1 out of 5 stars before they accept the review. That is the only reason this review is 1 out of 5 and not 0 out of 5! read more

Quick and efficient! They left my Poodle and Golden looking fluffy and fresh after their cuts and wash! :) this place has been the best I've gone too in a while. read more

I'm on what feels like a never ending search for a groomer that can cut my dog's hair and feel like I've gotten close with Shelly's Pet Grooming. I took Baxter in with a jacked up (and grown out) hair cut he got from Bark N' Babies and asked that they just do whatever they could with him. I pretty much left it in the very nice groomer's hands and said go as short as you have to. The shop is clean and everyone else seemed to be pretty friendly, so I left him with fingers crossed! The groomer did a really good job and definitely went short, but I was completely okay with it! Sometimes you just have to start over. The pricing was decent and I walked away feeling pretty good about the experience - not to mention that my little guy smelled amazing! Since he has longer hair, I'd be interested to see what they're able to do when I don't want him to get a military cut! I definitely think Shelly's is worth another try! read more

I have been going to Shelley for over 10 years and have followed her from shop to shop until she opened her own business. I have 2 dogs and they will not let anyone near them but Shelley. She does a great job and the price is right. I would recommend her to everyone. I have been to her new shop and her and her staff are awesome. My dogs looked fantastic and she and her staff are very good with them. read more

We moved 50 miles away and yet for 7 years we continue to bring our Shih Tzus to Shelly. Ab-so-lutely the best!

I cannot even give this awful establishment any stars. If there were negative stars that is what this place gets. First they were two hours late trimming our dog. there were no other dogs in the place but ours and yet they did nothing for 2 hours. they failed to shampoo him, just cut his hair. he yelped out several times while we were waiting, which told me they did a quick job, when we brought him home he had several areas on his torso that were bleeding or rough from their crappy work. if you love your dog DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS PLACE. horrible work!!!!!!!!! read more

We started taking our Shih Tzu to Shelly in March 2004 and have not gone anywhere else since, We adopted another Shih Tzu 2 years ago and she goes to Shelly's too. We have never been disappointed with the cuts which receives many compliments from people. We find the charges to be in line with what other dog owners tell us they are paying, and frankly it wouldn't matter if she more, we are very happy with the service and quality. read more

I really like Shelly's! Whenever my dog hears that she's going she gets super excited. They always do a really good job and my dog comes home happy. I've only taken my dog to one other grooming place and they had such a bad attitude when I came to pick her up because apparently she was a little nippy. I'm assuming she is like that at Shelly's too, but they've never said anything about it to me and always have a good attitude. Yes, they can be short sometimes, but since they don't have a receptionist I understand that they don't really have a lot of time to chat and it doesn't bother me. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other places, too. read more

My dog rarely, if ever, has a good hair cut. This is the first time a groomer has really asked me for specifically what I wanted and really tried to give him a good haircut. They made notes of what they did exactly so I can decide for next time whether I want it the same or different. The haircut turned out great, my dog was really happy walking out of there, and the groomer who helped me was really kind even though she was working late on New Years Eve. read more

Shelly's is the best. They go above and beyond with all the dogs. My Shepherd loves it there, they lift her out of the SUV for me and put her back in. She is a senior dog, with hip problems. I would not go anyplace else. I recommend Shelly's to everyone. Gay T., Tempe read more

Overall rather unhappy with the experience. They were not very welcoming when we walked in and just took him back and said they would call us when he was done. when we went to pick him up he seemed happy which is of course important, but I am rather unhappy with his overall appearance. They shaped the fur around his head but it is uneven with one side obviously longer than the other. His nails are trimmed but at least 2 on each foot look significantly longer than the others. And when I went to pay they took my payment and then immediately started helping someone else. Overall as a new customer I was unsatisfied with m experience and didn't feel as though my business was appreciated. read more

My son and I walked in a month before we brought our dog here and were told it would be $40 to cut our Yorkie. When we took him in, she said it was $45 and that she never said that. There were two of us and one of her and we both heard her. She called me a liar to my face and I am furious. Then the ears were not cut the way I requested. Never to to this place because they call you liars and do not do what you request! Rhonda Hogan read more

I am so grateful to them, they did an amazing job on my husky's fur. Recently adopted him and I had no idea about how to manage of have his hair trimmed. They are extremely knowledgeable and saved my fur baby's fur in the long run. Would recommend to anyone. And considering he was so nervous and scared he kept pooping everywhere, they handled him well and I appreciate them for that. You guys are amazing. read more

For some time now I've been looking for a place I can take my dog to get here nails clipped. My wife and I saw this place and decided to give it a shot. I'm very impressed with how friendly they are. My dog is little and she needs me to hold on to her. After the places I've gone to (petsmart) they wouldn't allow me to hold on to her and they couldn't control her, I gave up and stopped going there. Shelly's treats use like family and really do care for the pets there. Thank you some much for the work you do. I will recommend this place. read more

I've been looking for a groomer for a while and have tried out a few. I decided to try shelly's. I call and someone answered only hello and just sat there I had to ask if I had called the correct #. They said yes then quite again, I had to keep up the conversation asking if I could make an appt. And I was New that's when the lady finally was pleasant and wanted to help. Then I show up for my appt and I felt rushed the lady didn't let me explain what I wanted with my dogs hair cut. also I have an allergy dog that has special needs shampoo she just took the bag and said ok she didn't let me tell her the directions. I'm a veterinary technician so I now what my dogs need and after I picked my dogs up she needed to tell me that my dogs ears were bad but it seemed to be her tone more than anything. The dogs looked good but the main problem with this place is the customer service which was horrible! I plan on trying them one more time hoping they were just having a bad day. read more

I have been taking my two precious poodles to Shelly"s for four years now and hands or should I say PAWS down there is no better grooming facility in town. First of all both Shelly and Addie do a fabulous job grooming both of my dogs. I bring them in for a full groom once a month and a weekly bath usually as well. My dogs are a part of our family and are very important to all of us. I know that when i take my dogs to Shelly's that they will treated with the greatest of care and love. It isn't just about the cut....it is also knowing that no one is going injure or be cruel to my pets....(and trust me that happens at other grooming facilities and you never know because your dog can't talk). anyway I am off on a tangent.... We also have a home in one of the beach cities in Los Angeles County and when I am there I have to take my dogs to another groomer....they cant compare to shellys and I will and have scheduled my dogs grooming around my travel schedule because I don't want to take them anywhere else other than Shelly's Grooming. And keep in mind if you don't communicate what you want for your dog from your groomer in terms of a hair cut that is partly your fault. They are not mind readers. I say that as I saw a complaint against them and I find that VERY hard to believe. I know for a fact is for some reason you are not happy Shelly's will make it right....I can go to any groomer and have ....even groomers in Beverly Hills....NO ONE CAN COMPETE WITH SHELLY'S. read more
