(1 Star) **$110 for Cracked Calluses, Jagged Cuticles, and a…read moreCondescending Lecture** I paid for an $80 premium pedicure with callus treatment and left a $30 tip, expecting professional results. Instead, I left with ragged cuticles, extra skin left all over my toes, and calluses on the ball of my foot and my big toe that hadn't even been touched. I called the salon to politely request a quick touch-up for the missed spots. The manager told me to come in, but instead of simply fixing their careless work, the technician gave me an attitude. She made excuses about not being able to remove thick calluses and barely did any actual filing. To make matters worse, she then had the nerve to give me a condescending lecture about needing to put Vaseline and socks on my feet at home. It is incredibly insulting to be given a homework assignment by a business after paying them $110 to do a job because a physical disability prevents me from doing it myself. The second 'touch-up' attempt was completely subpar. My feet look exactly the same, the extra skin is still there, and the callus on my big toe is now visibly cracked. I am attaching photos of my feet immediately after leaving the salon so everyone can see exactly what an $80 premium service at Ruby Nails gets you. If you want a salon that honors its prices, does the job right the first time, and treats customers with respect instead of making excuses, take your hard-earned money somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I decided to get pedicures before an upcoming vacation. We thought this nail salon…read morewould be a solid choice, given the reviews, ability to make an appointment and pricing seemed to be reasonable. We arrived five minutes before our appointment time and quickly noticed that the four technicians they had were all busy with clients. After we signed in, the lady told us it would be 15 mins.  We came back inside after 15 minutes and all four technicians were still with the clients they were with when we arrived. Again....the biggest reason we chose this place was that we could make an appointment to avoid having to wait. We were sat in pedicure chairs and given a small bottle of water at 325p. We didn't even have a nail tech touch our feet until 345p, at which point, we should have been done with our appointments. At 430p we were finally done and at the register paying. Imagine the shock when he gave us a price of $115 for TWO pedicures. We were charged for deluxe pedicures (without being asked if we wanted an upgrade) and they used gel polish on my toes (I didn't notice until he already applied the base coat and, at that point, was too late to tell him I wanted regular polish).  We paid less in January at an upscale salon that provided a better service and overall experience (including complimentary mimosas). As we were driving away, my boyfriend looked at his toes. They cut his nails really short and didn't even file them down to be smooth on the cut edges. They were pointed in the middle and sharp. But the kicker....both of our legs were covered in residue from the green clay mask they applied during the pedicure. We assumed they did an adequate job at rinsing it off but as it dried, it became apparent that they did not. We had to wipe our legs off with cloths we had in the car so that we didn't look sloppy going into a few stores. Overall, the experience fell short of what we had expected and probably won't return in the future. Update: one day at the beach (two days post expensive pedicure) and my pinky toe has no polish on it

I had already tried doing them myself at home. I got one of the nails off but was looking for a quicker fix. The girl at the counter told me it would take over an hour to soak off and that she could just "pop them off". She then proceeded to take a fake nail and slid it under my acrylic nails to rip them off my nail bed. By the time she got to the second nail I told her to stop and that I would be soaking them off. Didn't care if it was going to take over an hour or not. Then the man from the back came over to finish the job while another client walked in to get her nails done. The lady that tried popping my nails off told her to sit in her chair and then got on her phone and FaceTimed friends/family while doing her nails. Pretty rude I thought. Also, while soaking my nails off the man went outside to smoke and did not wash his hands when coming back in.

The atmosphere is really nice and modern looking, the equipment was clean as well as the salon. Everyone was friendly and the quality of work was top notch. They offered me something to drink as soon as I sat down (rare) and I love that they have a huge selection of traditional nail polish. I know nowadays, gel and powder is a little more common. I also liked that their pedicures seem a little more natural versus the traditional use of a dremel and that cheese grater looking foot scrubber which are both so damaging to your nails and feet.
