My boyfriend and I decided to get pedicures before an upcoming vacation. We thought this nail salon would be a solid choice, given the reviews, ability to make an appointment and pricing seemed to be reasonable. We arrived five minutes before our appointment time and quickly noticed that the four technicians they had were all busy with clients. After we signed in, the lady told us it would be 15 mins.  We came back inside after 15 minutes and all four technicians were still with the clients they were with when we arrived. Again....the biggest reason we chose this place was that we could make an appointment to avoid having to wait. We were sat in pedicure chairs and given a small bottle of water at 325p. We didn't even have a nail tech touch our feet until 345p, at which point, we should have been done with our appointments. At 430p we were finally done and at the register paying. Imagine the shock when he gave us a price of $115 for TWO pedicures. We were charged for deluxe pedicures (without being asked if we wanted an upgrade) and they used gel polish on my toes (I didn't notice until he already applied the base coat and, at that point, was too late to tell him I wanted regular polish).  We paid less in January at an upscale salon that provided a better service and overall experience (including complimentary mimosas). As we were driving away, my boyfriend looked at his toes. They cut his nails really short and didn't even file them down to be smooth on the cut edges. They were pointed in the middle and sharp. But the kicker....both of our legs were covered in residue from the green clay mask they applied during the pedicure. We assumed they did an adequate job at rinsing it off but as it dried, it became apparent that they did not. We had to wipe our legs off with cloths we had in the car so that we didn't look sloppy going into a few stores. Overall, the experience fell short of what we had expected and probably won't return in the future. Update: one day at the beach (two days post expensive pedicure) and my pinky toe has no polish on it read more

Over charges for a crappy job , will not go back and definitely will tell everyone I know not to use salon.. the man that waited on me's name is Ty. He did not seem interested in what he was doing. He did not explain that what he was doing or the costs before he proceeded this is only the second time I've ever had nails put on, and I did not realize that a French manicure cost more than just a regular paint and he charged me for a fingernail that had lifted off when I thought I was just getting a fill that was supposed to be costing me $24 ended up costing me $48+ tax and tip not happy when I left... not a friendly vibe here ... read more

i started coming around 2 years ago and had wonderful service. Nails were done great. Recently, they have been awful. All of my nails were a different length, the guy told me my nails were "crooked" and that he couldn't fix it even though it was the acrylic that was crooked. The guy held out the nail filer to me like I was supposed to fix what HE messed up. Ann the owner does the best nails, but everyone else doesn't really know what they're doing. Yesterday was my last appointment and the nails yet again look awful. I will not be returning. read more

I will never return. The nail technician "fixed" my non-existent ingrown toenails by cutting a deep "v" into both sides of my big toes. He then proceeded to yank the nail out, causing it to bleed. I came in for a pedicure and am leaving with sore, painful, and infected toes. They should be ashamed. read more

I love Tina. She takes her time and she's very friendly. I have been getting my nails done for like 18 years and I like to stick with one person and make appts. She's my lady because she doesn't rush because someone is waiting. And she's particular if she sees something. I recommend her! And it's a nice place also. My mom went into this salon for the first time and left a very unhappy customer. Once she got home and started inspecting her nails she found numerous issues such as the polish turning a weird color, no acrylic on the edges of the nail, missing pieces of acrylic and crooked nails. She called and told them she was not happy with them after spending way too much money(35.00 full set ,10.00 for long nails which they aren't long and 10.00 for gel polish) they told her to come back in to have them fixed which she did. The pictures are the results after they were fixed. I was near the salon and stopped in to speak with the owner and show her the pictures and she really didn't seem to care. Just told me to have her come back in and she will fix them. I explained to her that she got the nails for a vacation we were getting ready to go on and she did not have time to make a 3rd trip there to have them fixed again and a refund is what she would like. Nope she refused. Don't waste your time or money! The guy that did my moms nails told her he's been doing nails for 13 years. He's absolutely horrible and should never be allowed to take someone's money foe the mess he creates. read more

So my nail guy is out of the shop for a while. And I needed a fill bad. Decided to goto Nail fever because it was close to home and I needed them done bad. Told her I wanted a purple ombre with glitter. She told me that they didn't have the powder to do it so they use gel to do ombre. Ok, I thought maybe she knew what she was doing. No... I should have got up and just left at that point. Half way through she called i believe the main nail lady over because she knew i wasnt happy. They used purple nail polish and the white you use for a white tip and poured glitter on them to hide the screw ups. I'm so upset, if you know me you know my nails are important to me. And unfortunately I'm not one to try and not pay for services done. Or complain. I was so upset and literally in tears I paid and walked out. Don't even wanna ask them to fix them because I really feel like they'll be worse than what they are. I feel like im getting ready for prom. Come on nail fever in Akron, Ohio. You guys gotta do better. I've never done nails before and I could have done a better job. I've been getting my nails done for over 20+ years and I've never been this upset over a baby set. Today I had an appointment at 2 we came 10 mintues early to not waste their time. We waited for an hour and a half. When we finally got seated I was given used water to soak my hand in. The lady then did a few swipes of the file leaving my nails crooked uneven and a lot shorter than before. She didn't clean the stuff out of my nails or anything. She gave me a pump of lotion made me rub it in myself and then spent a whole 2 mintues painting my nails. Then she touched the nail got made at me and never fixed it. The whole thing took a total of 10 mintues. The worst part was is because of the experience I gave a 5 dollar tip after spending 60 dollars for two sets of crappy nails. They got mad and said it wasn't enough and started yelling. Do not go here they are extermly ruse destroyed me and my cousins nails and had the audacity to be mad about the money they were given. It used to be better. Dont know where the talent went. I got a mani and pedi. I already cut my toenails pretty short so really just needed a sanding..she cut more off. never asked. didnt get the callous on my pinkie toe at all. did wrap my feet with my legs in the warm towels..just my legs., not my feet....didnt use the separator when she painted my toes..... took off my nail polish while i sat with the warm towels..Did not take any more of the polish off at the table. Did not clean under my nails.. did not let the cuticle cream soak in before scraping the metal on my cuticle barely at all. but did cut the cuticle skin off decent...barely sanded my nails..really a buffing...did all the polishing strokes..under the dryer and done. i have had enough professional type manicures and i know the techniques and what should be done much better than this tech. The only best part is how good the color looks. 2 days and already have the tips chipping back. will never go back or recommend. read more

I went here last week to have my nails done before my brother's wedding. I knew nothing about it before walking in. I'm from out of state and was just looking for somewhere to get my nails done, quickly & cheaply. I already had some length to my natural nails and just wanted a french manicure with purple tips instead of the traditional white tips. This was the first time I ever had a man do my nails. He did a great job, I believe his name was Sinh? He spent a lot of time making sure they looked great. And it was extremely cheap, $21 for a french manicure. Can't beat that. I am only rating Nail Fever 4 out of 5 stars because while cutting my cuticles, he actually cut the skin on one of my fingers. Easy mistake, and it healed quickly. The only place I ever go to get my nails done! Ann is wonderful, and she's such a good artist! At work, I've had many compliments on my nails and they always ask where I go. Went here last week and will never go again. I usually get one of the men, but was seen by the "American". She was awful! Crappy work, rude, unfriendly. Not one of my nails is shaped the same or even close in length. She cut me and then put super glue in the cut to stop it from bleeding. I live down the road from here so I stop in often. It's a nice place but you have to be careful with WHO does your nails. You'd think that the woman who appears to be the owner would be especially good but twice I've had her do my nails and both times she seemed more distracted with who was coming and going or who was on the phone. After my visit last week, she left my left index finger so jagged that I had to file it when I got home after realizing it was snagging on everything. Then my shellac manicure she applied chipped and peeled within three days. I could have saved myself the $40 and done my own nails with drugstore polish and it would have lasted longer. But then again, I've had my nails done once by a young girl and four times by a young man and those manicures have lasted upwards of two weeks before chipping. Otherwise the atmosphere is lovely since their remodel and the prices affordable. read more
