I just came to top off my gas tank and get a car wash. Pumped my gas and the receipt feeder jammed. Went inside to get a reprint and the woman cashier gave me attitude right off the bat. She didnt know how to reprint a receipt and told needed to know the amount of my charge because there has been 100 people using the pump today....uhhh okay i never heard that one before lol. Finally got someone who knew what he was doing. Printed it out in less than a second. I was planning to buy a couple drinks inside too...forget that ill take my business elsewhere. But all I got was that this was my risk washing our car their and basically that's it. So pretty much, Shell really cares about their customers. Yeah right. Reviews don't lie! ONLY come here if your gas light comes on and can't make the trip to another near by pump. This gas station attracts the crazies, weirdos, bikers, gangsters, and everyone in between. I remember being hassled by a pushy windshield repair man, and when you declined their offer they got all defensive. Every time I've been here there's always someone bumpin' really loud (with explicit lyrics) rap music. It's horrible, because I have my toddler in the car. Also there's bikers who whiz through the gas station really fast, so you must be cautious when entering or exiting. Overall, I will only come here if I'm extremely low on gas and can't make the drive to another station. My gas station of choice is the Shell on Riverside & Florin Rd, which is much cleaner, safer, friendlier and less drama. read more

Don't waste your time or money on the car wash. My window and side mirrors still had dirt on them.

I couldn't pay for my car wash outside because they didn't tell me the prices they just asked me which one I wanted. How am I supposed to pay for a car wash and I don't know the price? When I went inside the woman told me I can no longer receive the discount because I already paid for my gas!! Wtf. After I only got a car wash to vacuum my car, I notice they also make you pay an extra $1.50 on top of the wash to use the vacuums. Most places don't charge anything if you buy a wash. I couldn't even get a good cleaning because I only had debit, and they only take coins. I will never shop at another loop/shells again. You guys were wrong to partner with Loop. The customer service is also horrible, she could've helped me a little more with my situation. read more

Review is for car wash and customer service. HORRIBLE experience, if you are here for the car wash keep driving past the light and go to Kelly's Car Wash by McDonalds. I came in paid for my car wash up front, unaware because of their poor customer service, the machine was broken by the car wash it self so I would if had to do that any way. I get my receipt and the guy at the counter (can't tell you his name because my receipt was not returned to me later) goes "idk why it didn't show the bar I guess that's your code right there". I thought it off, being that it's Sunday I could see why he may be cranky whatever. I pulled up to the car wash, there's a car finishing up a wash, gets to the end backs up his car, goes forward a bit and backs up again, opens the door and an employee comes out from side they exchange words, wave smile bye. The employee stands at the end of the wash looking down through it directly at me, during the whole interaction I've been punching my code in with no success. I save at her and she simply waves back and gives me a thumbs up, seriously!!? I punch in my core a couple more times, finally I literally shout out at her "it won't take my code" she replies without moving "try it again". Mind you, the machine speaks and every time I punch in my code it says out loud "code is not authorized", I'm honestly irritated but punch in the code once more, same response yet she doesn't move still! I shout out again "didn't work" she finally walks over pushes the cancel button a few times, then she goes "do you have a little bit of time I have to go get the key" uhm I've only been here 10 mins sure I have time. Leaves and returns to "hook me up" by giving me the next car wash saving me a whole whopping dollar! Yay! Thanksssss Reboots the machine punches in my code and I am in my way. Then I get to the end where the vacuum blows my car dry, or so it's supposed to. I received 3 seconds of air pressure before my car wash time was up. Lmfao after all of that I end up with a wet car and a dry hood. For the same price I could of gotten my car dried by a person AND FREE 10 mins of vacuuming for the inside of my car. This place is the ghettoest gas station in (really, near) the Pocket. I'm sorry, but literally (and I don't mean this rhetorically; I mean LITERALLY) every single time I get gas here, SOMETHING weird happens. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am frequently panhandled - sometimes by the scruffy homeless-looking guy who has 2-3 dogs at any given time, sometimes by a relatively unassuming older woman, sometimes by a young person needing "gas money." I don't care who is doing the approaching though, I always feel threatened. Yesterday, I was filling up just before 10am, when up rolls this hoopty (sorry, I don't know cars, but it was some kind of maybe Buick sedan with ridiculously huge rims and low profile tires), literally rattling from the beats bumping inside. When the driver stepped out, a cloud of pot smoke followed. I was two pumps away, and I could smell it. At 10am. On a Sunday. Call me a prude, but really?? Who hotboxes a hoopty at 10am on a Sunday? Apparently the kinds of folks who frequent this crappy Shell station. When I'm about halfway through pumping, Hoopty Pot Guy comes out of the mini mart and evidently recognizes the guy pumping gas behind me. By the way, the guy behind me, who looked relatively young at my quick glance, was pumping gas into a late model, probably 7-series BMW. So Hoopty Pot Guy and BMW owner are evidently familiar with one another. It sounds like maybe they "work" for the same guy. I really can't tell. I'm just trying to pump gas into my hybrid and get the hell outta there. Well, it's starting to get heated between these two. Voices are raising. I turn around, and they look like peacocks, with their chests puffed up. If either of them had been armed (or compelled to fire), I would have most assuredly been in the crossfire. Anyway, this is just another day-in-the-life story of the Pocket Shell station. It's sad when you have to recommend the Chevron on Florin Road as a safer location, but really, I should take my own advice and just STOP ever coming to this Shell. I only use Shell Gas but I hate this damn place. It's literally on a dead end road across from a McDonald's. It's always dirty. At least two of the pumps consistently do not work. I don't think they ever change the water in their windshield wash stations. But you know what really puts me over the edge? They allow a company called 'University Glass Repair' (or something similar) to proposition folks pumping their gas with windshield chip repairs for free (they bill your insurance). It's not the service that pisses me off -- the service is convenient for those who need it. And sometimes they listen to you when you say, 'Sorry, I'm not interested, thank you', but every other time I get some dickhead walking up to me who won't take my polite declination. I complain to the Shell employees, but they do nothing. Unfortunately, that's when the sarcasm and cynicism flows freely from the depths of Jon M. They don't like that so much. So why do I come here? It's right off the freeway, it has a car wash, and it's closer than the other Shell on Riverside. This place has TERRIBLE SERVICE! So I was there at night and it was freezing cold. The credit card machines didn't work and I really needed gas. So I went to the little window because it was late and you can only pass your money through this window rather than go in. The guy at the counter was counting money. I politely knocked at the window and tried to tell him the credit card machines weren't working. It was 10 pm and the guy told me to come back at 10:30! He completely ignored me afterwards and waived me off. Again, I was FREEZING, and their credit card machines weren't working and all I wanted was to hand him my cash so that I could get my gas and go! Needless to say that I left. I have been going to to this Shell for years now and I had such a bad experience this time I will never go here ever again!! Excellent customer service, I came here for gas on a Monday morning at about 8:30a.m. the young lady inside at the register was super friendly and efficient. It was very clean inside and outside. They have a big selection of food/drinks/snacks & coffee of course. The pump was really easy to use, really light and you don't have to squeeze hard while the gas pumps out either i like that. I hate when you have to squeeze so hard it hurts your hand. I will definitely be back. read more

So much for the brand new car wash. Horrific car wash experience. It "sort of" washed the rear half of my car. The machine sprayed multi color foam all over the back of my car and then didn't rinse it off. Front half of my car totally missed. Weird. Got zero help from the attendant. Well you'll have a blast here at the most overpriced station in the entire neighborhood. El Terrible! I only get gas here if my gas light went on about 12 miles ago and really don't feel like pushing my car to my destination. It's in what we Greenhaven/ Pocket residents call "the other side of the overpass". The only thing this place is missing is the blatant corner of prostitution. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it was only a block away. The service sucks balls. The staff clearly hate their lives. They throw attitude like it's some form of survival. This place must be the kick-it spot! If you ever stop to get gas after 10pm, expect to see some people hanging around talking and laughing and maybe some lil Wayne, Keak Da Sneak, or T-Nutty blasting from a car... I have taken part in my share of parkin' lot pimpin' but at a club or big event not at a gas station! I do not see why people would hang out here. Avoid this place! Very rough car wash / damages vehicle. It completely tore off the license plate on my Jeep and damaged paint. Staff not at all helpful for taking care of issue instead gave me a form to fill out with the promise that the manager (naturally not around) would contact me. The manager never called. Judging by comments from others this is a common problem with this car wash - it just goes to show the level of apathy the owner has towards customers. This happened on a trip I was passing through the area earlier this year. It took me a while to retrace the address of this place since I was never contacted. This place is just OK. The staff is brain dead and completely indifferent. Half the pumps are usually out of order. There's a car wash if you need it. The "free air" for your tires is not free (75 cents) unless you go back into the store and ask the clerks (who will ignore you) to turn on the machine. But what do you expect at a gas station?
