We stopped in because we had heard they were serving cinnamon rolls and have been exploring gas stations and convenience stores with hidden food gems. From what I've read, this used to be Spinners but has been taken over by different ownership and if currently Sutterville 76. They do still have hot food inside- when we visited they had a variety of egg rolls but apparently you need to stop in earlier in the day for cinnamon rolls. It's a bit tight inside, but they pack a good amount of drinks and snacks in, including some that I haven't seen in other places. When we visited the same person as running the food counter and the regular purchase counter, so you'll need to let someone know if you're looking for the hot food. Since they were out of cinnamon rolls, we ended up buying a couple drinks and some candy- we found Squashies here. We'll have to stop back in earlier in the day and update the review when we try more of their offerings. read more

My first time trying this place since the new owners took over and changed the name from Spinners, First, parking is minimal, its in side a gas station, and I popped in around 8:30am, so they only had 2 types of cinnamon rolls, I got the apple filled, and the Cinnamon with Walnuts, as well as a ham and cheese croissant. Rolls were 6.95 each, croissant must have been avout 5 as my total was 20.40,price is a little high, but I was very happy that the quality is still fantastic The cinnamon with walnuts was just drilping with buttery richness and sweet, thus the walnuts playing a much needed role in cutting the sweetness. The Apple filled was maybe a notch below, but still fantastic. Ham and Swiss croissant reheated quite nicely and was a great savory bite. Im very happy that the quality hasn't changed with the new owners, I will return ! read more

Have been coming here for years as a land park resident. Recently, new ownership has taken over the gas station and spinners. I like the new selection of products in the store but the last four times I have gone to pickup cinnamon rolls, nothing is available. It's hard to maintain something that was built over the course of several years, so I do understand, but I think they should focus more on maintaining the reputation this place once had. read more

Absolutely do not recommend coming here, they are not maintaining their pumps and refuse to help customers. Visited at 530am to fill up before heading on a road trip. Worst decision as the pump was faulty, pumping slow and causing an overflow and spill all over our vehicle. The attendant was VERY RUDE and took a while to even acknowledge us as we needed immediate help with the dangerous spill. Turns out, he was watching the whole time as he made a comment about noticing it was going slow in comparison to other pumps and doing nothing. So, he knew, but even as we were knocking for help (the door was locked even though the station is "open") he didn't come out to assist for several minutes. We were the only customers, he was watching us, and he still could not be bothered. When we asked for some money back as the gas was clearly on the ground and not in our car, he refused and directed us to the general 76 customer service. Awful experience. Never coming back. read more

I understand people are disappointed with the original owners selling, but I still think the cinnamon rolls here are great! My wife and I went today and we ordered apple and regular rolls. Yum! If I'm craving cinnamon rolls: this will still be my go to place. read more

It's been a while since we came here, went yesterday and I don't know what happened, pretty disappointed . Cinnamon rolls didn't look very good by the looks but I said what the heck let's give them a try.... terrible! I hope they improve. But not coming back to what once was kind of a big deal in the community. read more

Not the same after original owners sold the business. Rolls aren't as big, soft and filled as before. So disappointing!

First time here to try these cinnamon rolls everyone raves about, tucked inside of a 76 gas station. Let's just say they didn't look the freshest, or have much frosting, but decided to give them a go anyways. Apparently you must come early. Was practically forced by both employees to buy a whole pan for $35. Luckily they finally took the no and let us order just one. Cinnamon roll was not very fresh amd also very dry/hard and crunchy. Idk if I would say $5.50 for this cinnamon roll was worth it. read more

Sutterville 76 - Cinnamon roll filled with extreme sugar. Can't taste the cinnamon. - Gas Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

These used to be the best tasting cinnamon rolls you'd ever eat. Now they're dry and overcooked. I know these new owners know the original recipe because when they first changed ownership, the rolls tasted the same. Now they're just probably trying to save time and cut ingredient cost. What a shame. RIP Spinners :( read more

11/2024: The cinnamon rolls are amazing here!!! We definitely recommend them!!! They have a delicious crunchy sugar glaze on the outside with a perfectly raised cinnamon bun inside!!! If you are early enough and lucky, the cinnamon rolls will be nice and warm! Yum!!! read more

Sutterville 76 - Delicious cinnamon roll! - Gas Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

Just went there to try their cinnamon rolls. Bought two cinnamon rolls and filled up my motorcycle with gas. The cinnamon rolls are delicious. The next time I'm in that part of town, I'll probably stop off and get some more. read more

Very disappointing when you take a successful business like Spinners and get greedy. Spinners was known for a good product. It seems as though they shared their recipes with you, but you made the rolls smaller for the same price. In an effort to increase profits, you are going to lose loyal clientele. read more

These guys need to dig up the old owners' recipe and practice it until they bring the cinnamon rolls back to their former glory. Now they're just a shriveled up shell of their former selves. read more

Sutterville 76 - Dehydrated Cinnamon Roll - Gas Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

Should have been less than a 1 star... the guys are just greedy for money do not care about customers... I came in for the bathroom and they had said you need to buy something, I said that's fine can I use that bathroom and they said only after purchase... that's just my experience, I really needed to use the bathroom but I rather go in a cup then go there. GL but go to chevon across the road at least they might be nicer and use there bathroom. read more

Bad place now was great now they try to get over you so ask for your receipts or you will be over charged they had a deal on energy drinks 2 for $5.50 but somehow. Ended up being $11 for them and a croissant is crazy read more

New owners are not interested in this product. Maybe cinnamon rolls are now non- existent at this writing. Shortly after the change of new owners the rolls were dry and probably old and stale. It's too bad that they didn't carry on this Sacramento favorite! It could have increased their business! read more

Clearly not following the previous owners recipe. We are so sad that we didn't get spinners one last time before they changed hands.

Pretty inconsiderate, I came at 8:55pm (all listings on google/yelp etc. says closed at 10 pm" and I was told to EFF off with no reasonable explanation, I said I only wanted ONE item and still shut the door in my face. Pretty awful, I live right next to this gas station and was hoping it could become my go-to spot, but I'll never go back after how they treated me. read more

Sutterville 76 - Hours of operation - Gas Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

The new owners need to follow the recipe to the letter. No one likes a dry bun. I have been eating wonderful spinner buns for years now they have changed hands, and the spin is missing the sweet, tasty, sticky appeal. Please bring it back to its original sticky cinnamon bun. read more

Went the other day to buy a couple of cinnamon rolls formerly (Spinners) and I am sad to say they are now terrible. Spinners were thick and tasty spun maybe three times. The ones I bought were thin and spun about six times and lacked any flavor. I wound up throwing them in the garbage. PLEASE fix this once fantastic cinnamon roll. Maybe hire a real baker. read more

This is the infamous Land Park 76 gas station that added a "Spinners" cinnamon roll outlet to its property. Spinners is better known as an Old Sac landmark, and the gas station owners were able to provide this brand at their station. A bit of background- Spinners was added on to the existing building and open for a short few months, only to have a horrible fire burn down the property. The extensive remodel had taken a significant amount of time and money, and many in the area thought they would not rebuild...but they did! In the last few months they completely rebuilt the gas station AND cinnamon roll business. The owners have put a lot of time and care into making it look even better. I have seen gas stations with restaurants attached, so why not a bakery? I have yet to try a cinnamon roll, but I have purchased fuel and other snacks here many times and the store is clean and orderly. The prices are average, and it's in a convenient place across from Land Park and Sprouts Market. Every time I stop by I can smell the delicious baked cinnamon just waiting for me. The Land Park community is lucky to have a cool little bakery / gas station on this corner. read more

A friend treated me to a cinnamon roll last month. I put it in the microwave and it shrunk to just butter and sugar nearly! Sad, Sacramento took a loss on this one! I guess back to cinna-bun! read more

I absolutely loved spinners that was one of the things that I miss the most about living in Sacramento now that I live in the Bay Area! So this past Mother's Day weekend I decided to stop and see if there was a new cinnamon roll place in place of spinners and to my surprise there was! I've read everyone's comments and personally for me I did not think the cinnamon rolls were as bad as everyone's making thim out to be!mine was fresh soft I feel like it could have used that extra melted butter that I used to have the old owners scrape up and put on top of the cinnamon rolls but other than that it was moist delicious and I will go back cuz at the end of the day I still think it's better than Cinnabon also if you're looking for a good cinnamon roll Ginger Elizabeth has fire cinnamon rolls take it home microwave it for 8 seconds and it comes to life or you could just eat it outright cold which I used to do all the time read more

I would say ZERO but you can't and I will tell you why, I used to go in just to visit, buy gas , and always a cinnamon roll but now I went in one time and tried a cinnamon roll which was terrible and small and for gas never with the attitude these new owners carry. I also read all the reviews and think these new owners better take heed in what people are saying because businesses go out if people don't come in I sure miss LaLarry and Sandy also Gabe and Susan oh ya Carlos, Peter and Kevin everybody made this place. Again take HEED in what people say for me and friends we are History for you. read more

Went in to buy gas in a 1.5 gallon can. The pump will not accept my credit card and made me go in. They asked me how much I wanted to put in. I told them the size of gas can. They said $10.00 and the credit card would only charge amount put in. Well you know the rest of the story. I will not patronize this business anymore. Integrity and honesty is important to me no matter how small the amount is. read more

When to Sutterville 76 Cinnamon Rolls, or as my buddy and I like to call it, "Brother's Cinnamon Rolls." What used to be the best Cinnamon rolls in Sacramento is now a bland, dry and very bad shell of what it used to be. Spinners made thick, moist Cinnamon rolls with plenty of frosting and toppings. These rolls are thin, dry, and cheap. By the look of it, I had a feeling that the new owners would cut costs and make a cheaper version of what used to be sold here, and it's worse than we imagined. Wish the original owners never sold this place. The new guys ruined a good thing. How do you buy the best cinnamon roll recipe in Sacramento and screw it up? Very sad. Avoid this place. read more

The gas station has either been sold to a new owner or under new management. Either way, the staff are not very considerate. They don't answer your questions directly. Many times they don't know how to answer the questions that you have that are very basic for a gas station. They also don't attend to the problems that exist. One day I went to inflate the tires of my car, and the hose for the air did not recoil properly. I told the staff about it, and he just seemed to be in different about it. Another day, one of the pumps for gasoline wouldn't continue to process my credit card and when I told the staff about it, he just glared at me and didn't know what to say. I kept trying to explain to him, but the more I said things the more he ignored me and just looked at me. I guess if you have to get gas without talking to the staff, this might be OK. However, go next-door or somewhere else. read more

What can you say about a gas station and small market? What distinguishes LP Mart is that its the Sacramento Food & Gas equivalent of "Cheers" where everybody knows your name...They have the nicest and friendliest staff in town and always greet you warmly. They keep the gas prices much lower than other stations in the area which is surprising given their freeway access. We locals appreciate Larry and the gang! read more
