I've been coming to this 7-Eleven since I started working around the corner back in 2015. For a while, my colleagues and I even had a goofy little ritual of grabbing Slurpees here every Friday at exactly 2:19 PM. The guys who run the place are kind and helpful. It's a pretty reliable spot for a quick snack or drink. My only qualms is there are often people hanging around outside asking for money, and sometimes the floors by the Slurpee machines get a little sticky (though I guess that's kind of par for the course at almost any 7-Eleven). read more

At first I didn't like this 7/11 as it caters to mostly addicts and low income individuals that choose to harass me, as a woman that is a safety concern. But recently they've been forced to hire security which keeps loitering to a minimum and the pan handlers away. This 7/11 is conveniently located and open 24-7 incase of emergencies or late night munchies. The store isn't very clean. And most of the time the windows are broken into, but this visit the security stood right next to the register while I seen other patrons stealing food from the food section. Definitely normal for businesses downtown to deal with the unpleasant consumers. They accept EBT, cash and card. I only use tap pay to deter touching anything. All in all, the options are plentiful and they have everything you want or need, mostly at a premium price tag for the convenience. read more

Ok as far as convenience stores go, this place is clean! The attendant was nice, and very patient with the different guests that come in. The food though!!! This has got to be the only 7-11 I know that has fresh foods that look good. I actually wanted to eat here. He was preparing food as I was checking out and it looked good! I waited outside for the door for fifteen minutes while they were supposed to be open. Another person standing outside said he told them two minutes much longer than two minutes ago. Then he told me two minutes and made me wait ten minutes. Time went past two o clock and so I couldn't buy more alcohol. He could've worked but looked like he got caught up on his ego because people were waiting at the door. He was just walking around the store doing nothing by the time we left. Wow. New 7 eleven opened on J street. It's nice and clean inside. I hope they maintain it. They have 5 percent discount on the first day of the store opening. Unfortunately, with my bag of chips, they forgot to give me 5 percent discount. Haha. They sell the lottery tickets, coffee, donuts and etc. It's nice to have the store open on J street and working distance from my work place. My 2AM Soda Run SITREP This reminds me of a Stephen Wright joke: "So, if a 7-Eleven is open 24 HRS...uh...why are there are locks on the doors?" THE SETUP Across the street from the Convention Center, this 7-11 is exactly a 7 Block / 10 minute stroll from my place at 2AM when I run out of Pepsi and my craving won't let me wait until later. The 2 Liter bottles usually run $2.94 - sometimes $2.34 if they have a sale going on - out the door. Still much cheaper to get the specials on soda at Safeway or another grocery store. But when you're walking, this is a quicker stop for me. THE LOWDOWN At least it has my Pepsi for a late night stop. read more

I went during the con-season and I believe this location has seen better days. After just a day of convention goers...the place is a FILTHY MESS. As you enter and leave, you will find the eating counter just laid with mountains of trash. And the floors? They are STICKY and GROSS. I can understand there was an overwhelming volume of customers at this time but seriously? Either clean up the place or enforce some cleaning manners for your customers. Two stars because they actually carry a wide variety of snacks that are suitable for everyone. But note if you decide to buy their bag that it is a plain brown bag with no handles! read more

My business is nearby, so I like to use the Amazon Hub Locker for packages because it's secure. But I have to tell you, the workers are always so freaking rude for whatever reason. You just can't treat people the way they do being in the hospitality business. I picked up my package and decided to buy a slice of cheap pizza to eat really quick while checking a couple messages on my phone. I rode my bike over, so I stood by the hub lockers and hadn't been standing there finishing up the pizza more than 2 min. Before the worker yelled "Yo!! You gotta go. You can't sit in here. You gotta go.!You waiting for somebody?" it was embarrassing because other customers were standing there. They said nothing to the two people standing near the hub lockers and eating food and trying to get me to buy an air pump and condoms. Yes, I can't make this stuff up. They said nothing to the guy eating food standing near the hub lockers eating food just before I did and who apparently stole something because he pulled from inside of his pants and started eating it. All that being said. This 7-11 is one of the cleanest I've been to, and although the hot food is cheap and unhealthy, it's always fresh looking , nicely packaged. Just a good looking place for what it is. However, I will never ever go back for any reason. Even at the expense of picking up packages elsewhere. The lost of my business will do nothing to 7-11's market share and the workers could care less about this review but whatever. read more

Good heavens, this place is a joke. Every single time I come here there are at least 3 sketchy individuals lurking out front either asking for money, cat-calling the ladies, trying to sell me headphones and a Billabong belt, or having one of those over the top mentally-unstable episodes. Every. Single. Time. It's like the Mecca for these types. A few days ago, I was in the store and some scraggly hobo woman is getting yelled at by a black lady because I guess the homeless called her the N word, and homegirl was livid and trying to step outside so they could squab. It had WORLDSTAAAARRR written all over it. This morning I stopped by at 3am for some snacks, and this older Indian worker yelled at me to leave because they were closing for an hour to mop the store, even though it's a 24-hour business, not a 23 hour! I mean, I get it, they have to deal with their duties, but it's possible to mop without yelling at customers in broken English to leave and temporarily closing. And after he yelled at me, he grabbed a stool and sat outside and started eating a banana while blaring some Bollywood music. Now, I must admit, I love me some Bollywood tunes, and was almost tempted to ask him for the artist/song name, but that man looked so grumpy and miserable that I decided to refrain. I would expect this type of customer service from any random convenience store on some corner, but certainly not from a 7-11. While I was getting rung up, some dude tried to come in the store and mr. Grumpy was all like NO! YOU NO COME IN WE CLOSED. And the dude was just like "Maaan, you trippin', I'm just tryina get some swishers real quick." and walks in anyway. It was hilarious. Anyway, I only come here because it's a few blocks away and always open. It's pretty janky and 3rd world, but they've got all the snacks. Even still, every time I come there's always some shit going on outside, and sometimes inside. I've certainly felt unsafe before, and that is no bueno. This place could use a security guard. I'm a frequent customer to this store for coffee on my way to work. This morning I was denied the right to cash in my three dollar scratchers that I bought from this same store. I was also given the wrong selection of pizza that I ordered. I love 7-Eleven. I'm a huge fan of many of their fine products and I am in love with to Taquito's. Especially the 3for3deal and the 5 for $4 deal. However, all too often I am given the wrong flavor of to taquito. NO STEAK FOOLS! This was the last straw. This has been an ongoing issue in-and-of itself that I would not normally care about. however, it's when the five for four deal is not in effect and I am given the wrong flavor of the taquito time after time. This is by far, the BEST 7-11 I have ever been to. The customer service is top notch, the staff is super friendly, you can't beat the coffee, smooth and full of flavor. Not bitter like starbucks or "Side Bar Cafe" which is on the same block as this 7-11. I come here 2 or 3 times a day for a hot cup of coffee and in the mornings I grab a few breakfast empanada's, As for the back and side doors being locked as others have "complained about, how many times have you been to a 7-11 and had more than one entrance? When they first opened this store they were always open. The homeless people took advantage of this, they would walk in and grab whatever they could get their grubby hands on and take off "running" out the back or side doors. I have personally witnessed that happening. The main entrance is the only door that should be open and no it does not have a sticker of a wheel chair but it's a double door with no step and is perfectly handicapped accessable. WTF? I can't believe you whiney ass liberals are complaining about that. Get over it. This is not your ordinary 7-11. It's more like a SUPER 7-11. The store is large, new, and very clean. The employees are very friendly and the slurpee selection is abundant! There is a great selection of sandwiches, salads, fruit bowls, donuts, muscle milks, coffee, and the list goes on. The store is conveniently located across the street from the convention center. When this place 1st opened I thought it was the best thing ever. But years have passed and an increasing number of homeless began to gather around this store. I use to grab a cup of coffee every morning but the panhandling is insane. I don't mind giving some change if I have it. But at 5:30 in the morning I'm not trying to hear that shit. Gone are the days of a packed La Bou on the corner of J and 14. We frequented that coffee shop so often we were disappointed when it closed. And when we found out a 7-eleven would be moving in and we were equally as disappointed. But then it opened and we were actually pretty impressed. It's not the gross creepy 7-eleven you may be used to. It's clean, new and shiny. I was pretty surprised by the interior design of this one too. The staff are young and friendly. The girl especially. Since we've been stopping by almost very day since the soft opening, they all know us and are always super cheery when they greet us. Which is no less than what they do with anyone who walks in the door. And it's not the creepy dude watching you as you browse the shelves like at so many other locations. BUT...as an architect, I'm pretty bothered by the fact that two of the three exits have been closed. Handwritten signs say out of order and and direct you to use the door on J Street. Worst part: both those doors have the wheelchair accessible sticker on them...it seems like a pretty horrible life safety issue... AND it bothers me that the guys are constantly on the phone, both the store phone and personal cell. And they don't bother to get off when a customer approaches the register. I used to work in retail, and I hated when customers would come up to the register on the phone, throwing money on the counter in a rush to get out and carry on with their phone call. It's even worse when the person supposedly serving you is going on about his weekend adventures.... Open 24 hours. This 7-11 (along with most 7-11s) has some funky clientele. The type of people that smell like the burn ward in a hospital. This coupled with the hygiene habits of Multiple Miggs from Silence of the Lambs. I get physically ill having to smell these people inside the store along with the weird packs of hobos that congregate in the L-shaped wing outside of the building. The staff is pretty friendly, and the products are well stocked, but that is not their best attribute. The one thing keeping me from cutting out 7-11 is the pizza. It's so cheap and tastes better than a lot of low end pizza shops. I will take 7-11 pizza over Dominos any day of the week. I cannot speak for the roller dogs, as I believe one would have to be mentally ill to attempt eating one. I used to make it a point to stop by and grab a snack three times a week, but stopped once Johnny left. I still drift in once a week out of necessity, but it's always a little dicey. Although this 7-Eleven does not have any gas pumps it is the best 7-Eleven I've been to hands down. It is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Sacramento and it was my first visit here this past week (apparently my hubby has frequented this location before and never said anything). Inside is very clean and organized so that everything made sense if you needed to browse or look around for whatever. The staff were not rude at all and seemed pretty personable with us and other customers. Their selection of sandwiches and salads in their small deli section actually looked pretty good too. This place is perfect if you need to grab the newspaper, some coffee or soda, or any snacks to munch on. If we're around the area again we will return. read more

I like going to this 711 since its close for me to get to by walking. Just recently I experienced the worst service ever. I had ordered their cheap $6 pizzas. Waited 10 minutes. I asked about it. The guy at the register tried to make me pay for it a second time. I had to tell him, I already paid. Then he asked for a receipt. I told him no one gave me one. Then I had to wait another five minutes for my pizza. Then when it was done they wouldn't give me it. Then one of them said my pizza had been ready the whole time and pointed to a box by the register. I open it and its empty. really? I yell at them. Finally they give me my pizza.
