I know that the inside guy behind the counter is a little rough around the edges but it is a gas station. The car wash has been upgraded and works fine. There's always a line which is a pretty good indication that customers like it. The other part of the station is the repair bays where Victor is always working on vehicle. He's always busy and does good work. Whenever I need a smog check/test for our Volvo, this is where I take it. I go a day before and ask for the test and he gives me a next day appointment, like today. I went there at 2pm and was home by 2:30. I consider that a deal for $80. read more

WARNING Do Not Buy Car Wash Especially at 615pm in my case I was filling my tank and got the option to get a car wash. Well the car needed it and I had time so I pushed "YES" so I PAID the $9 bucks. Unfortunately, when I finished filling the tank, pulled forward, and tried to enter the car wash---NO CAN DO Orange Cones, Signs, a parked car all announcing that the car wash was CLOSED So I went inside. No attendant in the store. So I waited. 5 min? 7 min? The attendant returned. "I was closing the car wash" Well, that makes sense. No problem, I understand. You had to close the car wash and I by chance had unfortunate timing. Just refund the $9 and I will be on my way NO CAN DO. The attendant was very nice and really wanted to help me. Unfortunately, only a manager can give the refund. My options: Return another day in the next two weeks for a car wash or a refund (if manager appears) So COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT The system has a kink. If you see time as money, you do not want to get stuck in this kink Better to get a car wash somewhere that has a work around for kinks And I am hoping the manager reads this and provides some kink relief The attendant did his best. I doubt I am the first to pay $9 for a 20 minute time delay and a new task on my to do list I decided to post this when, after I shared with my wife, she replied that the same thing had happened to her. Well, she told me a little late I hope I am providing a helpful service to you before you find the kink on your own time. NEXT DAY I went back this morning at 945am to use my car wash code paid for last night NO CAN DO The orange cones, the signs, and the blocking parked cars were all in place. Pro: Gas station is conveniently close to the Freeway. Con: customer service is horrible. Car wash is constantly closed. I specifically chose this gas station knowing I needed a car wash and it was right off the freeway. The car wash area was closed and I wasn't able to get a refund. Pretty standard gas station, not much to say really. This is a very popular spot because of its proximity to the highway and centralized location within La Canada. It's also near Hill Street, Home Goods, Chipotle, and what will soon be a Target, so the traffic passing by is plentiful to say the least. The gas station attendants here are about as friendly as they are helpful (ie, not much of either). But, the convenience store does have a decent smattering of all the things you need and don't need, from energy drinks and soda, to candy, gum, and mints. Ultimately, come for the gas, and don't go inside unless absolutely necessary :) read more

Wow. I live in La Canada for 9 years now and I have to take time to wrtie this for horrible customer service. Two Middle Eastern guys that work there have the most aggressive and non-care in the world when it comes to helping customers or answering questions. I always ALWAYS see these guys on the phone and when customers ask for something, they just do it with the most unpleasant attitude. I am just sick of there attitude and should be fired! As a business owner, these are the people that needs to be corrected or just let go. Smh. Anyways, got a car wash transaction through the gas pump since I was in a hurry to get gas, clean car so I can make it to my appointment. Right when I looked at the car wash lane, I noticed cones blocking the entrance way, and I went inside and asked if the car wash was open. Turns out it was due for service. I politely asked, "Since I dont have time to wait for the service, can I get a refund." He stops looking at his phone, and abruptly says, "Just wait 2 hours. No refund." Im like seriously? You expect me to wait 2 hours just to get a 5 minute car wash. And I asked him again, "I will not be here in La Canada for the rest of the day." He replied, "maybe less than 2 hours." And he went back looking at his phone. Such a dick move. Now I understand that this gas station is prime location due to the drivers that go up the Angels Crest highway. But man, go to 76 or even Chevron! I will never support that Shell or be a customer there at that specific location. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Alright. Im done reviewing this and wasting my time. DO NOT PAY WITH A CARD. If you must buy gas here, please use only cash. My card number was skimmed and within 30 minutes of purchasing gas here, nearly $300 was stolen from my bank account. In relating this tale to my neighbors, I learned many others have had similar problems. This is the only place I had used my card other than a bank ATM in months. I personally will not be purchasing gas here again, but if you must, use cash. read more

I have tried this car wash now 8 times. This is my last! The was part may be okay hit the rinse and dry part is a major fail. Every single time I end up with water spots all over the front end of my car. I end up coming home and taking out the window cleaner and redoing what I just paid to have cleaned. A complete waste of money! read more

Probably the worst gas station you can ever go. The cashier is pretty much useless. The bathroom says "For Customers ONLY" and when you finished your purchased and they won't let you use it. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I went in for a quick car wash, paid the $10. The car wash proceeded to dump a load of soap on my car and that's it. No water, no scrubbing. I tried to drive through again, and the kiosk says, "car wash is out of service". I go inside and the attendant, Simba, (who looks to be about 13, someone should check on that) gives me the story that the Manager is out of town and cannot be reached, the car wash cannot be reset because "the company with the code" is closed today, and no one knows how to do it. Said he would give me my money back. I asked if he had a way I could get the s***load of soap off my car, like a hose maybe, and he tries to hand me three hand towels. Got my ten bucks back and asked for a free tank of gas (didn't expect it, but maybe a card or something), he said he is not authorized to do anything. Fair enough, but maybe having someone on premises who know how to do anything besides play on their phone would be a good move. Drove the car home covered in soap and washed it myself. Crap service.
