No longer doing the free car wash for healthcare workers. I saw a banner that they got a new car wash system and they are offering unlimited monthly car wash starting at $15/mo. For a quick in and out card wash, it's pretty good. Middle tier car wash gets 108 seconds of dryer time. It doesn't get the caked on bugs off, but I haven't had an automatic car wash experience that did, even for the premium car washes. They have a small attendant counter to grab snacks or ask questions. Shit gas station. All of the machines' credit card readers are broken so you need to pay inside expecting how much it would cost to fill up. They didnt even notify this on each pump. You just need to insert credit cards multiple times then you will figure out they are broken. What a disaster and waste of time. If your card readers of the machines are broken, FIX them!! read more

Gas is gas, but there has been an increase of homeless at this gas station that I feel more and more unsafe to go. I left because I felt unsafe. One got upset because I didn't give him money. This is a concern and should be addressed to the city or police to be fixed. I have seen them bike around, camp, or simply hangout waiting for customers to roll up. At night is worse than the day. You never know if their mental health status. They can punch you or worse, knife you. I hope this issue gets fixed soon. read more

The location for this Shell is off the 91 freeway and Harbor Blvd. It is well lit, and easy access from both direction. Unfortunately because its near the freeway on ramp, there's pan handlers roaming the area. The prices are probably not the best, and they try to entice you to use the car wash to get a better gas price. I'm not one to use a gas station car wash (had damage done to my car once) so I used my Ralph's Rewards to save extra money on gas instead. I must have had a lot of Ralph's points, or they're doing a promo, because I saved 40 cents per gallon! I got to fill my very thirsty 14 gallon jeep for $42. I wouldn't say this is a 4 or 5 star place but I got a fair price on gas, it served the purpose, and it was A OK. read more

I come here regularly to get gas and a quick wash. Today I came and so happened my toddler was sleeping. I filled up and got a gold cash wash. I went to use the vacuum because well kids, and I accidentally sucked my receipt up. My fault, but what got me was what happened after. So I went to the cashier who happened to be on his cell phone which is fine but I didn't noticed until after I started to tell him what happened. In Spanish he told whoever was on the phone hold on. I started to explain again what happened and what pump I was at. He looked at me said oh yeah 5 and printed me a receipt. I said thank you and got in line for the wash. As I was in line I looked at the receipt and noticed it was mine and it was the wrong wash. I thought oh I'll just call. So as in line I called and said hi I was just up there for my wash immediately he says sorry I'm busy and hangs up. I was a little shocked and was like okay maybe I'll try the code he gave me. It didn't work. So I tried to call again, and he answered. I explained he gave me the wrong code and it wasn't my receipt. He said I'm busy and it's not my fault. Again speechless, I said I paid for it and he cut me off and told me hold on and then hung up. So I decided to drive up and give him the benefit of doubt. As I turned the corner I didn't see anyone. So I got out of the car, he looked at me and already I could tell he was irritated. He open the drawer and I gave him the receipt and explained he gave me the wrong one. He asked me multiple times where I put gas and how much I paid. I was nice and gave him all the information. As I'm waiting 2 people came up behind me, and I apologize to them. They were both nice and said it's okay. The guy then waive to take them. I didn't mind because I understood I've worked in customer service. Once he was done he asked me again where I paid and how much exactly. As I'm telling him his cellphone is consistently going off. He prints out the receipt and tells me be careful that I wasted a lot of his time. At that point I was upset. I told him, I was a paying customer and that comment wasn't necessary and walked away. I know nothing will change and the customer service industry is hard. But I wasn't rude and was understanding, the least you can do is be understanding and respectful back. read more

I stopped here for a quick $6 pump. 87 gas is $5.46. I can definitely get about 25-30 miles with my hybrid. I paid cash to the employee. I pumped the gas, or so I thought I did. After I pumped the gas, I got in my car and noticed my miles didn't move. I went back to the gas station and asked the worker if he can tell me if the pump actually pumped gas. Well, no, apparently he couldn't tell me. He also had the nerve to tell me that I can't get any gas with $6 - really? I know I can for a fact. Instead of dealing with an incompetent employee, I paid another $6 worth of gas, and I could see the drip of the gas, plus the smell this time. The first time gave me NO gas. I pay attention usually, but why would I assume the pump isn't going to give me gas? Never going to this place again, it's a scam and they got an extra $6 from me. I could have gone to another gas station, but I was about to get on the freeway and this Shell was convenient. Lesson learned. read more

Person that works at the front door at this location is actually really nice. They did a really good job helping me get everything that I needed. They also had a lot of really good snacks here as well. I was able to get a couple bags of chips and some drinks. Also my kids were able to buy a couple of snacks that they really enjoyed as well. This Shell is located right off the freeway. Most gas stations that are located near a freeway on/off ramp are usually higher in price but this one is actually reasonably priced. There are plenty of pumps and it is well lit at night. It's not the greatest of areas but it will do when you need to fill up. During our last visit to the pump we did notice a lot of homeless people wandering around and asking for money. read more

This is for their free car wash on Wednesdays for Healthcare workers. The staff was very pleasant and you only needed your badge to prove you're a healthcare provider. They give a free premium wash. They advertise a savings of 15 cents a gallon if you purchase a car wash. So being a commuter, I use a lot of gas and buy car washes that tend to pile up. Usually it's not a problem to ask attendant to activate vacuum but for some reason the attendant asked me for receipt as proof today. Okay fine. While my fellow car washer just waved his in front if the window, I had to slide mine into the drawer! Then the attendant told me it wouldn't work because it was expired. Um, it wasn't. The receipt clearly indicates it's valid for 99 days. The attendant wanted to keep the receipt and acted shocked that I wanted the receipt to redeem for my car wash. Um-- what the hell? GAS STATION CAUSED ME A NEARLY 700$ CAR REPAIR! I took my car in for in for repairs because my car had a hard time staying on and eventually stopped turning on altogether. The mechanics found water in the gas tank. Through process of elimination we figured out this was the gas station that led to the water getting in the gas tank. Their gas ports are not properly sealed so when it rains water gets into their supply and then is passed onto anyones car who pumps gas. I was reassured by the mechanics there was nothing wrong with the car for this to happen. REPAIR COSTED CLOSE TO 700$, when I spoke to the gas station about what had happened attempting to inform them of the issue so they could fix it, and so no one else would have to fix their car, clerk became very rude, yelled at me, and threatened to break the windows in my car. Every night this gas station puts up a will be back sign for two hours. Between 1130 and almost 2 o'clock you cannot purchase anything from the south station. The lady is there but she's not willing to help anybody. I work next to this gas station and every night I try to stop by they are closed. They obviously don't care about the customer base the lady likes to take a two hour break and not help anybody. At 1:50 in the morning she will reopen and help customers. I've been going here for 5 years. The last time I went there (And I do mean the LAST time), I wanted to gas up and clean my care from a Las Vegas trip. I put in my choice of wash and filled up my car. When the receipt cam we out no wash. When I went to the cashier, he kept on saying "no wash". No shit Sherlock. Be aware that it could take you 20 minutes to pump gas at this gas station. At 6 o'clock in the morning they do a shift change and you can't pay for anything unless you have a debit card if you want to pay for gas with cash and get the best price it will take you 15 to 20 minutes to get your gas. I went as it was very close to other businesses where I had errands to run. I figured a cheap car wash was better than no car wash, so I spent the $7 for a "Gold" car wash. There was nothing gold about this car wash. They offer a free vacuum service. That's great, but the vacuums weren't working. The attendant didn't seem to know how to turn them on, and he acted as if it was my fault they weren't working. Then, nothing against the car wash itself, the girl in front of me in line triggered the automatic shutoff and left her car completely blocking the wash entrance for 20 minutes while she figured out what to do. Instead of calling the manager over, she made her phone calls and twirled her hair while others were waiting for a car wash. It finally gets up and running again, and I finally drive my car through. I wish I had taken a picture of the final result. It got the front and sides just fine, but once it got to the rear window, it was totally spotty. There was a whole chunk of dirt left on it because the sprayers didn't reach that part. Mind you, I drive a very small car, so I'm not really sure why my whole car didn't get washed. Terrible. Went to the car wash today with my husband, paid $6 cash at the machine as you drive into it. The car wash malfunctioned and did not start -- the back up light kept flashing (occasionally the other lights flashed too -- backing up did not remedy the issue, and it was impossible to back out of the car wash entirely as there was another car waiting). Ultimately we pulled through and went to speak with the attendant. My husband explained that we bought a car wash but it was not functioning. The attendant accused my husband of lying and of having not paid for the car wash. He said we must have just pulled through and that we were trying to get a free car wash. What?? He was incredibly unprofessional and actually accused us of lying. He refused to give us another code and said that if we were telling the truth, it was our fault for not paying him in advance to get a code. If that is the case, why is payment at the machine as you go into the car wash even an option? We had to pay for another car wash to get a code from him. The car wash worked the second time through, but definitely not worth getting yelled at, called a liar, and having to pay twice. After we paid again, the attendant said that he changed his mind and believed my husband that the car wash ate our money. Yet he refused to refund the money even then! The attendant gave us his manager's phone number -- (714) 992-1161 -- and we called four times, but were unable to get ahold of him/her. No voicemail and no answer.
