They are always a dollar to $1.25 above other gas stations ( including other shell gas stations) Unless you don't care about wasting your money for no good reason you should avoid this gas stations. Long story short, I came here a few days ago and the attendant was exceptionally rude and kicked me out for no good reason before I was able to buy any gas or snacks. I waited a bit and came back to see what her nametag was so I could report her, let her know that no one's probably stood up to her before but she was really rude (she ignored me, then screamed at me to leave) I won't be coming back and she was not wearing a nametag, so I couldn't report her, she also did not want to share her name. I would not recommend going here, go somewhere cheaper, or to a location where they are at least nicer. She hurt my feelings pretty bad. Though the gas station mechanic is pretty nice. read more

This review is for Shell's Auto Repairs. I needed the thermostat replaced on my '03 accord. I called several places and received quotes $145+. A friend referred me here. I spoke with Sam on the phone and he quoted $90. Bashar worked on my car and he's amazing! He showed me the bad thermostat and the new one he replaced in my car. Bashar's very patient and took really good care of me. I also need to replace the passenger side cv boot. Everywhere else was quoting over $300 but Bashar's doing it for $180! I'll be back next week for this. Bashar does not compromise quality with his prices. He's just a super awesome, honest mechanic and a great person! I used an Amex card to put gas. The pump said see cashier. I go in there to see what's going on and the card "does not go through". I check my Amex balance and it shows it charged me. I show the guy at the front where it charged me and he says , and I quote "Don't worry, you do not put gas here, you do not get charged" Again, I show him again the charge and he just keeps saying "don't worry". Nothing got resolved and it felt like I was talking to a wall. I ended up going somewhere else, but this guy was beyond ridiculous. read more

We were in an accident right in front of this Shell station on a Saturday afternoon. Lucky for us, there was a mechanic on duty, Waad, who had time to help. We thought we'd need a tow just to get into the repair bay, but Waad was able to get get our car off the road and into his shop, saving us $200 right there. Then he diagnosed the problem, showed us what was damaged and what he was going to replace, called around and found the parts, and arranged to have them delivered within the hour. He got us back on the road in only four hours, and his prices were more than reasonable. We could tell he had done a wonderful job because our car drove perfectly all the way back to Arizona. I give Waad at Shell Auto Repair on Magnolia and Madison in El Cajon 5++++ stars. Also, his associate in the convenience store area was very kind and friendly. Place dirty more than what you can imagine. V-Power gas $3.99 per gallon, while it was $3.25 right at Shell on 2nd Street. Thanks to a buddy of mine who warned me to stay away from this gas station. Used to fill my tank for $73 now I get it all full for only $52. For example the Arco station on Broadway has gas for $2.59. This gas station is lost for $3.99. This past week we were staying at a motel nearby. We started our car and the water temp went all the way to high. We walked to this Shell station and explained that we thought it might be our thermostat and that we were checking out of the motel and traveling back towards New Mexico. Bashar (our angel) drove us to the motel looked at our car. He drove our car back to the station having us drive his car. We got lunch at Perry's across the street and by the time we were done eating, he called us and said the car was done. This was service that you don't usually see anymore. They were packed with cars, but put our car up to the top of the schedule. We hit the road taking 3 days to drive back to New Mexico and never had a problem....thanks Bashar.
