So many things happening in this place - people making fudge, candied nuts, all kinds of jerkee; a huge BBQ station where employees shout out every time they either make or sell a sandwich? All kinds of fun merchandise - from clothes to shoes, to toys - a full gift shoppe. Employees are amazing - engaged, kind, energetic - definitely seem to care about what they do. Management salaries are posted out front for hiring purposes - pay is real high which is great, but even better, seems like those managers are doing a great job leading employees for that $$$ So, if you ever see a Buc-ee's I recommend you go in and see it - it's pretty hard to explain but it is quite something.

Hoodies, pajamas, mugs, seriously, the beaver is everywhere!!! This place is massive! Like Costco massive. Lol. But the true star of the show was the Buc-ee mascot himself because I was lucky enough to meet him and get a photo-op. Iconic! That alone made the stop worth it! I walked out with several snacks and zero regrets. If you're visiting Texas for the first time, it's a must-stop experience. I remember once when I used one of those 6-bottle cardboard holder and when going up the stairs to my apartment, the cardboard holder gave way and I lost 3 bottles, immediately I emailed Dana and she replied that she was so sorry and she told me to go the customer service at the Business Center to pick up my replaced bottles. This reminds that I need to make myself acquainted with the new wine and beer manager. Most of the cashiers are very friendly and it's always helps when they have a bagger to assist the cashier to expedite check-out. And, I always pay in the store. I don't know how they did it, but this Valero managed to hire the nicest guys ever! This station has three pump stations along with a vacuum and a place to air your tires up. However, once inside the small sparse interior, you'll find 15 cooler doors of drinks. Their coffee station is fairly minimal and they have one lone drink fountain. They don't have propane tanks to rent, nor did I spot any firewood. I would not recommend this as your early morning commute stop since they don't have any fresh baked goods either. They do have an iced down beer trough, but no weenie rollers. In case you're in need of a bathroom, you may wish to keep on driving because they only have one small bathroom and on my visit, it was out of order.
