Sometimes we talk about politics and one time he said I should be the mayor. That'll brighten your day. He's just a really nice man and and it's always fun to talk with him. Sam also runs a flea market that's just starting up at 12009 Hwy 183 in Mustang Ridge (he gave me a card for it). I haven't been able to go by there, but I plan to. Sam even offered me and my BFF a ride out there if we want to set up a stall. Gas is gas and cokes are cokes and you can get both at this Shell station. You can also get Mexican chips and a nice bottle of wine from their large (for a convenience store) selection. Or a grill for your teeth so you can fit in at the righteous new North Austin. Or some cat litter or whatever else you need if you live in Highland. There are some homeless people that hang out to the side of the store sometimes, but they've never bothered me and I've seen some of them out there sweeping for some money and I really appreciate that.

The carwash ($8-$14 depending on selected options) is brand new and now works much better than the old one. I can't say much about the gas, as I drive electric these days and rarely have occasion to go through a pump station, but I do see that they have Speedpass Plus so that you can use a smartphone app for secure payment and don't have to swipe a card - love that! Open 24/7 with all the typical convenience store offerings.
