I thought Arbor Car Wash had self service bays, but it's just the wash tunnel. It was difficult for me to pay $26 for a car wash when I was expecting to spend $8. I was struggling to figure out where else I could go though and would probably blow $20 in gas and time driving around Lakeway, so I gave Arbor a try. Hot tip - the whole thing about taking your antenna off is no joke. I lost my antenna in the car wash. Thank goodness the machine didn't use it to whip scratches in my paint. I've never had a car wash tunnel damage an antenna like that. That was the worst part of my experience. After leaving the tunnel, the guys wiped everything down. The truck looked pristine. I can imagine if you use your car for business or just like a clean whip, the unlimited deal would be awesome. I'm not that concerned though.

Because I had had no problems and it was less than 2 years old, I was suspicious. Without any delay, the Newberry technician tested the battery, which was fine, and didn't charge anything. This saved me about $300 for a new battery install. For years, I have taken my vehicles to this location for inspections and have always found them to be prompt, helpful, and, most importantly, honest. Most of the negative reviews overlook the fact that although Newberry Automotive and Chevron share the location, they are NOT under the same management.

Also, The mechanics working for Terry do excellent work. It is definitely a place to be trusted, and I highly recommend the manchaca service center for absolute fairness, honesty, and great work.

Also, all of their pricing is totally reasonable. I went to go get my car washed a few days ago and they turned me away because they were closing due to the inevitable rain that was headed our direction.
