I have been military escorted to the Red Cow Hotel on the grounds that I have passed through a contaminated country! Que merda! I have been confined to my room and only have Yelp to seek help.. The travellers are here too demanding luxuries they would ne'r be granted elsewhere. "I need an ambulance! I'm going to die!" (dm for the soundbits). An infamous mighty pisstakers bunch the lot, but alas I must side with the minorities in this instance for I have just recieved my dinner.. and there is... ..no pudding. The shudda cudda wudda Buddha we call mother goose, sits at home rosey faced and sweaty; "oh my son! he will surely have pudding this night!". 'fraid not mammy.. No gateaux in Guantanimo. Even in school a friday bun was standard to subdue the superspreaders and calm the herds. Here however we are immune to honey and hazelnuts.. no strawberry meringue, no cbd jellys, just a half baked roll, and a half baked prisoner. For the love of god would someone drone me in a brownie! slip an icecream sandwhich under the door?! The media continues to spew warnings and instill terror into the other prisoners, assuring us of our insecurity; "we must not leave, we must not go outside, there are over 4 channels of newsworthy entertainment! and we are not allowed to have haircuts.." So close but yet so far.. a lie.. a chinese covid tracker passport lie.. oh wait! escape! some mental solitude! -a cooking show, a content italian man, a warm Italian pudding.. Big Red Angus, if you are reading this, I demand you Let Them Eat Pudding!! ..or I will be forced to do an alcatras job on this.. thats right, a full alcatras; after lights out i'll leave my own pudding outside the door to be collected in the morning. you have your warning. I got booked in this hotel due to my flight being delayed…read more We (approx. 30 people who also did not get their flights) arrived here in the evening.The staff at the front desk was very friendly and assigned rooms to us very fast. The rooms are spacious, a little bit old-fashioned, but I don`t mind it. It gives it a special and certain charm in my opinion. Unfortunately I only stayed here one night. The location of the hotel is a little bit outside downtown Dublin. To the airport it`s about 25 minutes by bus or cab. I would like to visit Dublin again and spend more time, but I might prefer a hotel being located more central in the city. Anyway, I enjoyed my short time here and would like to visit one of their restaurants one day. The red cow inn but also the Tom`s table restaurant seem to have a large selection of various delicious dishes.

I was pretty confident that all of our hotels for the trip had been prepaid, but after explaining this to her, I just went along with it. After we got to our room, I got on the Wi-Fi to check our credit card, and of course we had already paid. It was no big deal to go back to the front desk and have our account credited. Overall, our room was quiet, so we enjoyed our stay here.

We were instructed to take the tram to the hotel and walk across an overpass through the ghetto-ist parts of Dublin. We check in and order some beer, caprese salad and Guinness Stew. I must point out that the staff is pretty depressing, no energy, no smiles...just sad. I get it...we are in the middle of no where and we are stuck with eachother for the night...sheesh. The Guiness stew and caprese were both very tasty. We spent much of the evening relaxing in the lobby and speaking with some locals. The room was simple but, clean. I slept well but, couldnt wait to return to the city centre to do more exploring. At check out (I checked out one day earlier than expected but, was told I could at no cost to me), the Front Desk Agent, Blanca, was not very friendly. She told me that the room cost was nonrefundable and there was nothing she could do. Period. I was able to reach out to Management and after several email exchanges, they informed me that my rate was refundable for the early check out. I'm a travel agent and I never had to work that hard to get my money back when I was correct the entire time. Save yourself the trouble and spend a bit more money and stay in the Dublin City Centre.

It's just off a very busy intersection a few miles from Dublin centre. We got a deal on the eat what you want breakfast at €11 a head for typical hotel brekky - cheap meats: sausages, bacon, eggs (fried, poached, boiled or scrambled), black and white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown potatoes, cereals, yoghurts, fruit juices, croissants, butter, toast, fruit, limitless tea and coffee from machines that give sort of alright cappuccino, latte and so on. I wouldn't pay more it was at its money at €11. I'm sure I've left food choices out but you get the picture - quantity over quality. Sadly this part of Ireland doesn't offer soda bread nor potato bread so it's not as hospitable and discerning as Northern folk in the six counties. This place is more akin to an English breakfast. Maybe someday they'll catch on but don't hold any breath on them becoming sophisticated. On the return, on the Friday, it was a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and a delectable mushroom sauce. It was about €17 each. My wife had chicken as her main choice with the same trimmings, cabbage, carrot, parsnip, mash and boiled potatoes. Place is cosy. Staff are Uber welcoming, clean restrooms and pay parking but if you buy food it's stamped so you aren't charged.

The restaurant is self-serve, and not everything is included in the pre-pay food vouchers you purchase. I found the food to be dry and clearly prepared the night before. Definitely leave time to find food elsewhere. For late night options, Apache Pizza is across the street and isn't too bad. They will deliver to the hotel quickly. It took us about 40 minutes to get to Dublin airport in a taxi (about 42 euro), which wasn't terrible. There is a Hopper Bus option across the street for 9 euro, but it only runs every half hour. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, view was of the highway. I would definitely consider a Maldron hotel closer to the city (there are several), but was indifferent about this location.

It's a good location when…read morethe attendees at your event are coming from both Dublin and down the country because it has the Luas outside for the Dublin people and it's not right in the city so the country people do not have to battle with traffic to get to the location. The rooms in here are perfect, lots of natural day light and lots of fresh water with cordials and mints. The people who look attend to you are also really great, they don't seem to mind too much when you are calling them every hour to either turn up or down the temperature in the room, participants at events are always very sensitive to temperature I find! All the rooms I have used have had a projector and a screen mounted in the ceiling which is really great when you are doing presentations. You can have the room laid out any way you want and in some cases when you have a large group you can book two adjoining rooms which can be opened out into two rooms although you will need to book early to avail of this, it's a popular location for conferencing. One thing to be aware of though, when you are only using half of this room and there is a different group in the adjoining room you can always here laughter and clapping from the other conference which can be very annoying, similarly some of the rooms are around what must be a kitchen and at some point during the day you will hear a mixer going for awhile (I think it's for soup!) and that can be really distracting also. The lunches in here are tasty! (Even if they are noisy to make!) And they are good value too with a cost of only €14 for a hot dinner and a desert and there is always a choice too so the vegetarians are never left out and the chicken only eaters are happy and those who like to branch out and have a bit of fish are delighted with their options, everybody is happy! Make sure you leave room for the desert though, the baileys cheese cake is delicious!

I love the Chinese food you can order from upstairs in the bar known as the library. There is also a nightclub attached and worth a visit. It does well but with three hotels in the area and two new ones that shut recently, it is compeing with the Plaza and Maldron so a drop in price could be a good incentive.

It didn't turn out that way as our friends didn't feel the same way. We had tickets to tour the Jail and arrived early as the cab dropped us off at the Hotel. At my suggestion, we retired to the Hilton Coffee Shop for some caffeine and a light bite. They also had a nice adjacent breakfast room for overnight guests. Our space was very nice, comfortable, and with great service. And of course I used my Hilton Amex Card to pay for it.

Rooms were very nice. They have a restaurant for lunch and dinner but I didn't go. They offer a full buffet for breakfast and the food was delightful. If you want to go downtown it's a short taxi and not pricey. There's also a bus or a train about ten minutes walk that brings you right down town and we're easy to use. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
