So, I stayed here for one night and had booked and paid for a deluxe room, upon entering the room it appeared to be just a standard room. I said it to the front desk and she assured me I was in a deluxe room and that all other rooms in the hotel were occupied so she could not change my room.
The room was bright but there was no view, all I saw out the window was a wall and some metal (Not very pleasant).
The bathroom was quite pretty and very contemporary. It had a shower and bath, it was nicely tiled and very bright but wasn't very big.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful, as much as can be expected.
The entrance is huge with a massive staircase, it's very well decorated and has relaxing music playing throughout the day and night.
I called for room service which was quickly delivered and very tasty.
The bed was comfortable and warm, I probably could have slept there for a few more hours had my request for late check out been approved.
Overall, for the price I paid for the room for the night, along with a request for late check out that wasn't accepted and paying for room service, I feel like it could have been better.
The hotel does have a certain charm, it's not central at all and the only things around are two petrol stations, a McDonalds, a small bar and a retail park but it's close to a bus stop (18) and the Kylemore Luas stop which goes straight to town.
I would stay here again but I would ensure that my room was upgraded as I wished and my late check out was approved. I'd mainly stay for the comfy bed, though. read more
