I finally called the roadside assistance customer service back, and they informed me that Mikes hauling and towing service had canceled the order without even telling me. They told her to "call back in 10 minutes and see if we can do it." Now remember I've been waiting for TWO HOURS thinking they were coming. My vehicle was running the entire time with the a/c on, so I ran out all kinds of expensive gas thinking Mikes was on their way. I had my son with me so I eventually left, while at the same time I'm sitting on hold for over an hour while they try to find me another towing service. It was thee worst experience after a long day at work.

The…read morefirst place was a horrid experience, rude employees, they offered very short access hours, and these were just the beginning of the nightmare I would be subjected to - in the end, my indoor climate control unit was ravaged by water damage and it was nearly a total loss. When I stumbled upon 24 hour self storage, I had doubts and didn't trust that anywhere I went, nowhere could be this good to be true. Right?? Boy was I wrong!!! Not only was the cost about half of what I'd paid in the past, but I had a larger unit. I definitely took note that the grounds and units were exceptionally clean, as well as quiet! The staff was incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. When it was time to move my belongings out, and to our new home, it was almost bittersweet! We have never rented from this place, i had never heard of them until this past week. It seems these people could care less how they affect people who have had nothing to do with their buisness. We should be closing on our home loan, but because of these people and their own fault for not taking care of their own problems, we found out as were going to close that they have a lein on our property. Up until this point we have never even heard of this company much less owed a cent to them. Instead of dealing with the excavation contractor who rented their property; they took the addresses of the places he used the bulldozer who had no dealings, no contracts, nothing to do with them and put leins on all of our properties. They also didnt even have the decency to notify us that this was going to happen. Now we have to sit and wait after we had to pay his bill and wait for him to pay us back, because lein releases can take up to 30 days, 30 DAYS WE MAY HAVE TO WAIT TO MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR NEW HOME DUE TO THEIR ACTIONS. These people seem to have no moral compass. It doesnt matter what is "legal", just because it is legal does not make this right. It does not make you decent human beings. This is down right shameful and there is no way to make their side of this honorable to me or any of the other property owners who may still not know they have a lein on their property right now that is no fault of their own since they paid a contractor to do a service. Now just because he didnt pay his bill it falls on them unbeknownst to them and we will forever have it shown their was a lein on our property that was not our fault.

I don't know where to start. We first used People Move Moving 4-5 years ago for a "down the street"…read moremove. Great experience. Movers were on time, professional, worked quickly but carefully. All of our belongings arrived safe and sound. Given our first experience, we didn't even bother quoting the move out to anyone else. We were in regular telephone communication with Daniel, their Sales and Operations Manager via phone. Red flag that we never received written follow up communication. We had a couple questions regarding heavy/large items which he assured us would be handled with the upmost care and professionalism. Specifically, a treadmill in the basement and a Big Green Egg. We were told the crew had "plenty of professional experience moving/disassembling both items". Upon arrival, the movers completed a once over of the house to develop a plan. Very quickly I was flat out told by one of the crew members that they were refusing to move the treadmill. We called Daniel and he assured us it would be handled appropriately and the tone/professionalism of his team would reflect that. It was not, in fact, handled appropriately. Fast forward to the end of the day, we required a small/quick second trip to and from for the last few items in the house. The movers were very reluctant to complete a second trip, even though that was communicated multiple times before and during the move. The business bills by the hour, so you would think this would be a somewhat common/reasonable request. I inquired about the treadmill once more and was told definitively and rudely "no" again. At this point, I had given up on receiving the help/assistance we were promised even though our invoice included "heavy item" charges. Those charges took approx. one week to be reimbursed. We are now in a dispute with PMM for reimbursement of the cost to hire a third party to move the treadmill (which I just received word from Daniel at 845am that "there is nothing we will do, it has been handled internally, please continue to follow up with our claims agency). Our move was completed on a Tuesday and I did not get around to checking the condition of the Big Green Egg until Thursday or Friday (my fault). Safe to say it's a loss. Photos attached. The professional movers obviously did not possess the requisite knowledge to move something this large and cumbersome. Over the last two weeks, I have tried reaching out to PMM via office phone, Daniel's cell phone, and email to resolve these issues and discuss potential partial refund for services not rendered. We were told this morning over the phone by Daniel that "we have fulfilled our part of the contract, there is nothing more we can do to help". Even after asking to speak to his superior, we were told "I am the highest person you are able to speak with regarding the matter". We are now at the mercy of PMM's claim agency, CSI. They have been fine to work with but it's unfortunate Daniel and his team are not able to provide any additional help/follow up to resolve this matter in a less contentious/way more professional manner. Would not recommend contracting PMM for your next move, and if you do, ensure all conversation with Daniel is documented via email. The lack of communication and tone over the phone (when they answer) has been unacceptable. My wife has filed a complaint with the BBB. Beware of the PMM team.

We were quoted a little over $400 for 3/4 load and it would be $500 if it was a full truck,…read moreincluding a 10% charge for being on the second floor. So worst case scenario, would have been $500. When the job was done, they tried to charge nearly $700. They changed the price of a full load and then said that the 10% was no longer rolled into the price AND wanted to charge a $20 fee to pay with a credit card, also not disclosed and an excessive charge since merchant fees are in the 3% range and they shouldn't be charging more than the $500 quoted. Next, they said we had to pay them that to "close the file" before they would address the damage to the floors. They scratched the hard wood flooring and will not address until they get payment in full. Needless to say, there is no credibility since the first part of the experience was false. Overcharging the job in the first place... Then, refusing to fix the damage. I would be very careful with these people. We had someone there painting the unit so this was all with someone WATCHING over them. NOTE: Most of the reviews are 2+ years old... Due your diligence on them before you use them. UPDATE: Trying to file a claim with their insurance company directly since they are trying to get payment before addressing the damage. Needless to say, if we paid them, they would disappear without a trace and we be out the charge (including the overcharge of nearly $200) and would have to pay to have the floors done out of pocket as well... So, their insurance agent gave us the underwriter so we can try and file a claim with them directly.

Made a few calls and this place called me back fast (within the hour), and had an opening the very next morning. They were extremely professional, on time, and fair with price. They quoted me a price for just under a half truck load, and even though it ended up being a little more than half the truck, they stuck to their quote and a few hours later, my yard is finally clear of debris I should have taken care of months ago. They even took an old couch that we've been meaning to get rid of. Overall, one of the best experiences I've had with any service in the area. Highly recommended!
