We have been with Ferrellgas for 15 years but the last 3 years have been horrible. We have a small tank and wanted a larger one. They said we don't qualify for a larger tank. Now that we have run out of gas 3 times in the last year they say we can get one. We ran out of gas ordered more and this is 11 days later Feb 11 still no gas! There customer service is horrible they laugh and say they don't care if you go somewhere else, so we are going to! read more

I have been without gas for 4 days. This company will not answer phone calls and they put you on hold for so long, you can't wait if you have a daytime job. It is below freezing and they have no way to get me an emergency fill. I will never use this company or recommend it. I am hoping to find another company to get gas asap. read more

I called Ferrellgas because we had just bought a new house in Henryville IN. After closing I smelt propane and went to the underground tank to see and hear propane leaking at the valve. I called them to come out and repair the underground tank and test for leaks after repairs were finished. They said they would be out the next day. Two weeks later I come home to find a bill on my door that they had put in $500.00 worth of gas. When I went out to see the tank nothing had been fixed on it. The valve was still froze open and no parts replace on it. When I called the manager kept saying its customer owned and they are not responsible. I said I know this but before you put gas in a leaking tank you need to fix the leak. He told me they had to put gas in it to check for leaks. OK BUT $500.00 really. Someone came out about a week later and said the tank is no good I need a new one then charged me $95.00 for that bit of info. I let him know I would rent one from them and get rid of the underground one. When we got the final billing it was 500.00 for gas 95.00 repair and 200.00 emergency fill. When I call to dispute this the receptionist was very kind and told me that she would talk to the manager I believe his name was Lee. She called back the next day and said he told her the bill stands that there is nothing wrong with the tank and all the repair had been made. Oh I didn't mention there was a ball valve on the copper line the previous owner put on as he must of known the shut off was no good. When they put gas in the tank it was at 42% after 2 weeks and the valve shut off it was at 30% and the smell of gas it throughout my property. So in short I would think twice before using a company that charges you for their mistakes and does not have any clue what customer satisfaction is. Also he wasn't even man enough to call and tell me this bit of info he had the receptionist do it. 100% deceptive practices and fraud to all levels. Will never recommend or use them. read more

They grab your your money from your account 5 minutes after ordering then take 2 weeks for delivery! They'll tell you 7 business days but don't begin counting until the day after you order. They are also closed one day during the week. I used their delivery service twice. Both times they were slow. They also overfill no matter how much you order to squeeze more money from you. I wanted to start ordering locally but my former service was 80 miles away and delivered much sooner! FerrellGas at Scottsburg can't even seem to do 7 miles in a timely manner! Avoid them at all costs! They also try to take you for $100 more if you complain. Lol. Emergency delivery after 5 business days! Dream on crooks. read more

By this evening around 6:30 they were not here yet, I figured it was going to be a cold night. I headed off to the local big box store to pick up a couple space heaters figuring there was no way they would come after dark in the middle of a snow storm. I got home from the store and was pleasantly surprised they followed through with their promise to get to me tonight! Thank you for your service and reasonable price! If they don't have something you are looking for, just ask, they will be able to tell you if they can order it or not. We go here every week during winter, sometimes more,to get our propane tanks filled, and we are always treated wonderfully. We also buy some great looking straw and awesome looking grass hay. Their grass hay has no horse nettle in it (I did find 1 bale with a couple of plants in it though). If I get hay anywhere else,I have to throw half or more away because of the horse nettle, it's extremely poisonous and will kill your animals.

I called and they came out the next morning to do a leak test and then returned a couple of days later and added propane to our tank. We signed up an account and will be using them for our propane service. It was a simple process and everyone we've dealt with has been friendly.
