The nicest thing was that I was able to book a place online. As soon as I reserved, I had it. It was mine. Oh yes, it was mine. Then, I got a phone call from the agent there confirming my reservation and asking if I had any questions. Great customer service. There is 24-hour access to the storage units (which is nice, since I keep a weird schedule). There is restricted access - you can only get into the units with a code that you designate yourself. Plus, there are cameras everywhere, which is nice for a security feeling. The rates really aren't that bad either. A little less than I was expecting. And they have the option to bill monthly to a credit card, which is great for people who don't want to think about bills.

We trusted this storage facility with over $50,000 worth of personal and sentimental items, only to find out they were all stolen--and the worst part? Their security cameras had been broken and they never bothered to notify us. No call, no email, nothing. The unit was in a sketchy, unsafe neighborhood to begin with, but we took a chance thinking a storage business would have basic security measures. Clearly not the case here. If you value your belongings at all, don't risk it. Save yourself the heartbreak and go somewhere reputable. Police have already said they have 30 calls about regarding this location as well as broadway. Zero accountability. Zero security. Zero stars.

CitySpace on Main Self Storage is a good place to get a storage unit. I've never personally had a…read moreunit here, but I helped a friend with theirs for several hours, and I thought CitySpace was great while I was there. It's a huge space (as most self storage locations are), but I found it easy to navigate. It's gated, and locked from within, so it seemed very secure. I helped my friend clean out her storage unit, organize everything, and dispose of many unwanted items. We had no issues pulling everything out of the unit, as the hallways are quite large. I really like that aspect of this location, because many other storage spaces I've been in have much more narrow hallway spaces, making it more difficult to move items in or out. I have also had experience with storage units where the doors are accessed from outside, so I like that in this location you have to enter through a gate, and then go into the building to access your unit. If you're looking to get a storage unit, I think CitySpace on Main Self Storage is a fine place to do it.

I've had a few storage units over the years for a variety of reasons, and I can say that CitySpace…read moreon Main is one of the nicest facilities I've seen. The storage units are inside and climate-controlled, which will be particularly nice when I have to get into my unit and move some stuff around in the winter and summer months. You can also pull your car into the facility to load and unload it -- again avoiding the high heat, cold, sleet, snow, rain, zombie apocalypse, what have you. The whole place is very clean, and the lady at the front desk has been nice and helpful. CitySpace is downtown and close to my home. Plus you can pay online. And I just learned that CitySpace also serves as a K-9 training center for the Louisville Police. Crazy stuff. The rental prices seem comparable, skewing a little high -- but again you get a lot of amenities for you and your stuff. The one thing I don't like is that I can't access my unit 24/7, but, then again, if I need into my unit at 3 a.m. something is likely very wrong ... or I've just procrastinated in some way.

I had a HORRIBLE experience here. I walked in the store May 31 to give notice with the Manager and…read morereserve the free truck. I was to move out on the 9th. He explained to me that it was a 4 hour block for the truck unless I wanted to extend to a whole day in which case would be $22 dollars, he then quoted my price for the month of June and notated it in the system. I told him I would need to check with the time frame and asked if I could come back the next day to confirm the time frame and he said I could call. The next couple of days I called each day but I waited over 5 minutes for anyone to answer and eventually hung up. Finally I got a lady at the answering service to answer who said she would relay my message to the store who would give me a call, but no one did. I walked in on the 5th because I didn't want to be late. The store manager was there again and confirmed my move out date and the time frame in which I would move with the truck. He corrected my amount owed for the month and I paid it with him in the store. The next day I received a delinquent email- I replied to it explaining that I paid my balance with the actual manager. The manager responded confirming that my account was in good standing and confirmed my truck rental. On the day that I am to move out, I can't get through the gate. I then speak with Mike who was EXTREMLY rude. Instead of listening to me and looking at the email conversation that I had with HIS manager, he accused me of not paying my rent, and not even reserving the truck, EVEN THOUGH I let him read the email his manager sent me. He kept saying he didn't know who I talked to and proceeded to tell me that there's nothing he can do about my code not working. He then asked me how I would be paying the $100 deposit to rent the truck and I told him I didn't bring $100 to give him and No one told me abt a security deposit. He was so rude that he responded and said I would still have to pay it and couldn't do anything about what I was told .... my brother and father came in because they heard me getting angry with this man- AND this man was raising his voice at me... AS IF HE WAS IN THE RIGHT!!! Once they walked in HE STARTED CHANGING HIS RESPONSES... but I guess he didn't realize they had heard the ENTIRE conversation. I had to call EVERY TIME I needed to get IN AND OUT of the gate PLUS IN and OUT of the building while I was moving out that day but even before that, They had my unit yellow tagged and instead of him walkin with me to fix my lock, we had to run back to the office to get him (we were in a 4 hour time frame with the truck to move out). HIGHLY INCONVENIENT Rude, NO customer service and extremly inconvenient! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE- good luck!
