**Do NOT trust this orthopedic surgeon -- even if your arm depends on it.**…read more After a bad fall, I was referred here by the ER. What followed was a mess of contradictory diagnoses and complete misinformation that could've cost me the full use of my arm. **First visit (day after injury):I was told not to wear a sling, "go live your life." **Second visit (after MRI):Suddenly, it was keep your arm in a sling for 2 weeks, do PT, and it "should heal on its own because you're young and healthy." **Third visit (2.5 weeks later): Now it was an emergency -- I "needed surgery immediately" or I'd "never regain range of motion." The inconsistencies were not just confusing -- they were dangerous. He also assured me I'd be typing 2 weeks post-op and using my arm by week 4. Total fiction. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from a highly respected orthopedic surgeon (team doctor for the LA Kings) who was shocked at what I was told. He confirmed I had a complete biceps tendon tear, a subscapularis tear, and fracture -- none of which would have healed without surgery and 6 months of structured physical therapy. Post-op with the correct doctor, I wasn't allowed to move my arm for 2 weeks, stayed in a sling for 6 weeks and only began very limited motion by week 7. This is the real protocol for a severe shoulder injury -- not the fantasy timeline I was given. Bottom line: This office gave me three completely different treatment plans in under three weeks, misled me about my condition, and grossly misrepresented recovery. I would not trust this surgeon with anything, let alone a serious injury. Get a second opinion -- your mobility and long-term health depend on it.

I was sent to Austin Pulmonary by my primary doctor after a lung CT scan as part of my yearly…read morecheckup. The scan showed a small nodule in my left lung. My husband and I met with Dr. Laurie Gilby. She was super kind and informative and wanted me to have a bronchoscopey to check it out and it was performed by Dr. Anderson. I also had a pet scan which showed the nodule was cancer which had not spread anywhere else. Since it was stage one, Dr. Gilby suggested SBRT Radiation therapy or surgery. I chose the radiation therapy and went to Dr. Michael Herman at Texas Oncology. This all occurred over several months and I am super elated to let you know as of yesterday I am cancer free. I had another pet scan a week ago and my appointment with Dr Herman yesterday. I was pretty stressed and nervous for that appointment. When Dr. Herman came in, I said "what's going on?" and he said "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING . THERE IS NOTHING THERE.". The radiation worked and was so easy. No discomfort or pain at all. My own cells killed the cancer cells. AMAZING!!!! All of this started with Dr. Gilby. She helped me through the whole ordeal by telling me what to do and guiding me through everything. I want everyone to know How great and helpful she was. Thank you so much Dr. Gilby and My family thanks you and my grandchildren thank you. Kathy Gross Austin

I've been coming here for sinus infections for two years. I finally caved to Dr. Resh when she told…read moreme "Paul, you know you really wouldn't be getting these anymore if you got allergy shots". I was quick to retort "well why didn't you tell me this the other times?". She quickly replied "I *did* tell you those other times!" So, long story short here I am almost a year later and no allergies or sinus infections since even starting the allergy shots (and they don't start at full strength when you begin the shots). I can't begin to tell you guys how much gratitude I have, from the bottom of my heart, to Dr. Resh for pushing me to get them. I honestly just thought she was another one of those doctors trying to get increased fees from my insurance company but it turns out she's actually altruistic. If that's not a good enough review, she even has Keurig pods available for your enjoyment while you're waiting. The receptionist, Lucy, is also one of the sweetest people on the face of the earth. Oh, and one last thing: while I was going through a really bad marriage separation, Cat, one of the medical assistants, was so incredibly empathetic with me and asked how I was doing every single time I came in and just offered advice when I asked her about it. She really helped me more than you can imagine. To everyone at Dr. Resh's office, thank you for being you and making me feel special.

(1) No, they haven't, in all likelihood. Almost certainly a lie. Almost certainly the menus were changed years ago and they haven't bothered to update the greeting. (2) Nobody is calling so frequently that they've memorized the phone tree! Duh! (3) Even if some rare person has the rare combination of (a) calling frequently, and (b) memorized the phone tree, and they misroute themselves, SO EFFING WHAT?! Whoever they reach can just route them properly! This office would rather waste the time of and annoy 999 callers who would not have tried to route themselves without listening to the options, for every 1 who might misroute themselves, even though that misrouting is of no practical consequence. I'll see a different provider.
