I had a reverse shoulder replacement earlier this year, performed by Dr. Robert Graham, one of the…read moreco-founders. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at this procedure. Not all orthopedic surgeons are qualified to perform the reverse procedure. I also like that he ONLY works on shoulders. I was in excruciating pain for months leading up to the surgery. Afterwards, I was pain free in less than a week!! I've had 3 prior shoulder surgeries by a different surgeon, and this was by far the most major surgery with the least post-op pain. I highly recommend Dr. Graham.

Dr. Robert Grahm and his team were magnificent!…read more I knew Dr. Grahm was very good. He came to me very highly recommended by a number of friends. In particular, I want to call attention to his Physical Therapy (PT) staff. While not convenient (I commuted 45 minutes each way) they (Louis R) were the key to my successful recovery. He was a wonderful guide and counselor throughout the entire process. A consideration for future patients is to forgo the convenience and stay focused on getting the results you want from your surgery investment and 6-month recovery period. Stay with his PT team. You will not be disappointed. One more thing. Please make sure you do your stretches and exercises you experience at PT at home. I performed these 5 days a week. Good Luck. You are in great hands with Dr. Grahm and his team.

**Do NOT trust this orthopedic surgeon -- even if your arm depends on it.**…read more After a bad fall, I was referred here by the ER. What followed was a mess of contradictory diagnoses and complete misinformation that could've cost me the full use of my arm. **First visit (day after injury):I was told not to wear a sling, "go live your life." **Second visit (after MRI):Suddenly, it was keep your arm in a sling for 2 weeks, do PT, and it "should heal on its own because you're young and healthy." **Third visit (2.5 weeks later): Now it was an emergency -- I "needed surgery immediately" or I'd "never regain range of motion." The inconsistencies were not just confusing -- they were dangerous. He also assured me I'd be typing 2 weeks post-op and using my arm by week 4. Total fiction. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from a highly respected orthopedic surgeon (team doctor for the LA Kings) who was shocked at what I was told. He confirmed I had a complete biceps tendon tear, a subscapularis tear, and fracture -- none of which would have healed without surgery and 6 months of structured physical therapy. Post-op with the correct doctor, I wasn't allowed to move my arm for 2 weeks, stayed in a sling for 6 weeks and only began very limited motion by week 7. This is the real protocol for a severe shoulder injury -- not the fantasy timeline I was given. Bottom line: This office gave me three completely different treatment plans in under three weeks, misled me about my condition, and grossly misrepresented recovery. I would not trust this surgeon with anything, let alone a serious injury. Get a second opinion -- your mobility and long-term health depend on it.
