We are huge Sheetz fans already but recently realized the Dole whip offered at select Sheetz locations has somewhat of a following. Based on what we were hearing, we knew we needed to check it out. My wife told me she thought there was some connection with Disneyland or Disney World and the Dole whip they served. We still need to research this, we are unsure if there is a connection. Today we were traveling from Winston-Salem to Asheville and decided we should find some Dole whip. We were passing through Hickory and my wife said we should look on our Sheetz app and begin calling them to inquire about whether or not they had a whip machine since we didn't want to take the time to visit multiple stores. We got lucky and the first location we called confirmed they had a whip machine, so we quickly reset our route to stop in. This location is very convenient to I-40 and we stepped inside and got busy making our whip. We proceeded to the cashier and didn't know if they charge by weight or not but were shocked when the cashier told us they only charge 99 cents per dish! Wow, what a deal. The Dole whip was very smooth and refreshing and we will absolutely be stopping in to grab whip, especially during the summer. It would absolutely hit the spot on a hot summer day. I have always referred to Sheetz as western Pennsylvania's version of Wawa and friends from Western Pennsylvania and I would good-naturedly go back and forth about which was better. I grew up in New Jersey and also lived in Philadelphia, so Wawa is near and dear to my heart. However, Sheetz is a pretty good gas station with a similar business to Wawa. Now that both have expanded beyond their territorial confines of Western Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia/New Jersey area, it is nice to discover one of these locations where you would never expect to see one. This is a great place to fill up your car and maybe grab something to fill up your stomach, as well. They certainly are a lot better than most gas station foods, better even then some of the fast food chain restaurants around the area. I would definitely recommend stopping by here. read more

I only stop here because there are Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot. Being able to use this Sheetz is a bonus. Lots of road trip options to turn your kids loose to get hopped up on sugar, easy bathrooms. Everything you can need on a quick 15m charge up before heading on. Best part about Tesla charging while traveling in NC is that a majority of the super chargers are at Sheetz. Wish there was one attached to a Sheetz just off I 40 off around Asheville because the locations there from i40 stink. read more

Hooray for SHEETZ for partnering with TESLA to make their Superchargers available. We have stopped at many a SHEETZ during our travels through NC. This SHEETZ was no different than any of the others. Clean restrooms, efficient checkout, hot food that's OK if you are starving. They have a huge assortment of snack foods and drinks. But you can also find fruit. I like SHEETZ and since we use the chargers we will be stopping by frequently for a charge and a snack (and a restroom stop). read more

Unacceptable!! They have let their bathrooms get to the point that I won't use them anymore. I'm considering calling the Health Department. I can only imagine what the sheetz kitchen looks like. Order at your own risk. Horrible! read more

I was at this location on Thursday morning around 9 o'clock. I had purchased gas and gone inside to use the men's restroom. It appeared that it had not been cleaned in some time. in some of the stalls there was trash, dirt and looked like the floor had not been swept or mopped in a number of weeks. read more

Best gas station ever. Calling it a gas station just doesn't seem right. I had a coupon on my app so I ordered a cheddar burger with bacon, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, onion, and Boom Boom sauce! As a Tesla owner, I stopped here as a first time Sheetz customer to use the Supercharger there. I found the food good, the facility clean and the staff very friendly. I have since stopped several times here and hope to enjoy Sheetz at other locations. I do hope Sheetz will continue to make all customers feel as comfortable as I felt on my visits. read more

This location has it going on! We always stop here to fuel up the car and ourselves when driving through the area. The made to order food is quick and done right, employees are friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. My latest obsession are their potato skins, but you also can't go wrong with their onion rings, mozzarella sticks or fried cheese bites. And the boom boom sauce gets two definite thumbs up! As I paid for my cheese bites I watched the lady working pull them out of the bin with her bare hands to put in the fryer. I said something and the guy said it's going in hot oil so it ok. He rolled his eyes at me and moved to next customer. I don't care if it's going in hot oil. That's just not sanitary. I watched her touch all the buttons and handles with bare hands too.
