Based on what we were hearing, we knew we needed to check it out. My wife told me she thought there was some connection with Disneyland or Disney World and the Dole whip they served. We still need to research this, we are unsure if there is a connection. Today we were traveling from Winston-Salem to Asheville and decided we should find some Dole whip. We were passing through Hickory and my wife said we should look on our Sheetz app and begin calling them to inquire about whether or not they had a whip machine since we didn't want to take the time to visit multiple stores. We got lucky and the first location we called confirmed they had a whip machine, so we quickly reset our route to stop in. This location is very convenient to I-40 and we stepped inside and got busy making our whip. We proceeded to the cashier and didn't know if they charge by weight or not but were shocked when the cashier told us they only charge 99 cents per dish! Wow, what a deal. The Dole whip was very smooth and refreshing and we will absolutely be stopping in to grab whip, especially during the summer. It would absolutely hit the spot on a hot summer day. Another reason to love Sheetz!

I grew up in New Jersey and also lived in Philadelphia, so Wawa is near and dear to my heart. However, Sheetz is a pretty good gas station with a similar business to Wawa. Now that both have expanded beyond their territorial confines of Western Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia/New Jersey area, it is nice to discover one of these locations where you would never expect to see one. This is a great place to fill up your car and maybe grab something to fill up your stomach, as well. They certainly are a lot better than most gas station foods, better even then some of the fast food chain restaurants around the area. I would definitely recommend stopping by here.

Three different times I've wanted roasted chicken, and they weren't ready. One time they weren't ready until 1:30 in the afternoon. The roasted chickens is a big part of the reason I get Sam's membership. Also, MANY items don't have prices marked on the racks. Today my issue was with folding chairs that weren't marked, and Twinning's tea bags. UGH!!!

The price of the gasoline was much cheaper than other stations too by 20 or 30 cents a gallon. Restrooms are outside and I believe a key is needed for access. They have self-check out machines. My friend got food by ordering on the kiosk. The car wash has 3 options ($9, $12, and $15). I wish it explained what each included at the pump. I walked over to the car wash first to see what each option entailed. I needed up getting the highest option because my rental was extremely dirty. I bought the car wash at the pump right before pumping gas. Gas was $2.99 a gallon and got about 17 gallons. The receipt had a code on it for me to get the car wash. The car wash was very loud when it came to the instructions, telling you to pull forward, stop, and to put car in park. It announces each step that's going on before it occurs, which I thought was pretty cool. The car wash was completely touch-less. I inspected the vehicle afterwards. While it was cleaner than before, there were areas that were still dirty which shows up clearly on a white vehicle.

I just decided not to get anything but the food. This is not a customer service positive action, to say the least. I will next time take my business back to Murphys across the street. No, dry accusations and no left turns from 321 or from their parking lot back onto 321. Hope they can overcome the bad taste this has left me with and the extra time spent waiting for that left turn arrow!!

Having not enough time to finish all the jobs I had in the area. I decided to find a loves near by. Gas up. Grabbed a coffee and parked my van in the parking lot and would wake up and utilize their showers in the morning before hitting my final job. Decided to do this as on this day we will be expecting ice storms VS driving back up from Charlotte and potentially get caught in said storm. At 6am-ish William (Richard) the shift manager who seems to be in a NON LOVING CUSTOMER APPRECIATION kids mood is banging on my vehicle to wake me up. No when I walk in to loves truck stop I am greeted with "welcome to loves!" Well I believe that all goes to the side lines for its shift manager William. With the attitude of someone deprived of attention as a child and now as a man child. Informes me there is no over night parking and I need to leave before he calls the police. Shocked at the amount of attitude he has tells me it's his job and that there are signs in the parking lot stating so. Which NOT ONE SIGN did I see from where I was parked nor when I got gas and coffee the night before. If Williams job is to be unprofessional when he approaches people and customers as an employee of Loves. He needs a raise. And if loves travel shop doesn't allow parking for NON TRUCKERS then it needs to have signage properly installed. Even as i left I saw no signs stating no over night parking.
