First off I love the studio there is nothing like the studio in Chicago in Las Vegas or in the Suburban areas. The makeup artist here are very professional very nice and accommodating the studios are beautiful especially their new addition to the family the Matteson Studio. Before I start in, I want to say Sheena is lovely and I probably would've loved my makeup had she done it. However, I booked a chair for my prom makeup and was not happy AT ALL. For one, I was told I would get a confirmation email and never did, which resulted in me having to pay a late fee. Not to mention, they were very rude about it and looked at me like I was a ghost when I told them I thought my appointment time was at a different time. Please don't even let me get started on my makeup either. I wanted a glitter rose gold cut crease. I was forced to get a purple eye and rose gold liquid shadow. Just no... Sergene is a true artist and perfectionist when it comes to wedding makeup and Jetaun made my bridesmaids' hair looked amazing. Brides BEWARE!! If I could give Sheena Marie a -5 I would! I booked Sheena for my August 18, 2019 wedding. As you may know she is extremely high, but I chose to go with her because I loved they way she did my bridal consultation makeup. At my consultation she guaranteed me that she'll be at my location to do my wedding makeup. I signed the contract and paid her high a** fees. So the day of my WEDDING two makeup artist shows up at my location to do my bridesmaids makeup. The hairstylist was there to do my hair. As my hair was getting done, I asked the makeup artist what time was Sheena coming to do MY makeup. They replied by saying, "oh, she sent us. (Then the young one who looked about 17-18 years old said, I'm doing your makeup). They said, Sheena couldn't make it bc she had a business conflict and she's in New York." I went off!!!!!!! How does a "professional" business woman operate in this manner?! I was NEVER informed that she WASN'T doing my makeup! She didn't even have the decency to let ME chose an alternative mua! Hell, I paid $300 for HER to do my makeup...not an 18 year girl who was asking the the other mua how to apply makeup! After calling Sheena's phone to get an explanation or at least a d**n apology, she didn't answer! So I texted her and told her exactly how unprofessional she was and my 100% dissatisfaction! For crying out loud, it was my WEDDING DAY! Soon after, one of her workers TEXTED me claiming they forgot to inform me of time conflict and that I would get my deposit refunded. This was on 08/18/19, as of today...10/21/19 I have yet to receive any refund! I've called, texted and called again several times! Nothing! My advice for ALL brides is to think twice before booking this unprofessional, overpriced, unreliable company for your SPECIAL DAY! I wish I had...as if a bride doesn't have enough to worry about! Be very aware , they have a non refund policy and their not that great. They have makeup artist with no portfolio , and want you to pay top dollar. You will rarely get the artist who do have portfolio's and are all over their social networks. Please just be aware of these non refund places , unless you do some serious investigating read more

I took my daughter to Sheena Marie Beauty Studios at the Matteson location for prom 2017. Paid $120.00 for hair and makeup. They put her make-up on before doing her hair. Stylist didn't even wash her hair. Noticed dandruff and it smelled as if it wasn't clean. It wasn't styled correctly. Called to complain I talked to the supervisor. She called back to tell me what the stylist response was. The stylist flat out lied. I wasn't even disputing the make up just the hair. I asked for a refund for the hair they wanted to give me a credit for another hair service. No thanks. I wouldn't refer anyone to them. Word of mouth goes a long way. Before you allow them to charge your credit card realize they don't tell you no refunds until you have a problem with service. read more

I went to Sheena Marie Beauty for my prom day to get my hair and makeup done. My makeup went fine, Sheena did a good job and got things done pretty quickly but it quickly turned into a disaster when I was about to get my hair done. I booked with dawn and wanted to get this ponytail I saw on Instagram. I emailed her prior to my appointment, showing her what I wanted and she said it was fine and told me the price. When I showed her the hairstyle when I finally sat down, she said that she couldn't do it because it would take too long and it wasn't what I paid for. She then insisted that I find a different hairstyle. I was about to cry and I knew the vision I had would be ruined. I found a different hairstyle, but she said she couldn't do it (thank god) because my hair was too damaged. She attempted to do the hairstyle I asked her to do in the first place and started straightening my hair. Y'all it gets worse. One of her friends came in and she told me to sit down and wait while she did her hair then she would get back to me because her friend was going on a trip. I thought okay she must be giving her a touch up. She started giving her BOX BRAIDS. I was sitting there pissed off and she could see it on my face and she just told me to wait. My prom send off was in almost 20 minutes and she only straightened my hair so far. She finally finished the other girls hair then did my ponytail (which is not what I wanted at all but I had to make it work). I made an appointment for my prom day and I was extremely excited because I followed Sheena Marie Beauty Studios on instagram and I was in love with their work. However, when I made the appointment, I wasn't informed about their location beforehand. So I decided to google it and have my dad drive me there (I live about 30-40 minutes away from the location). I was running 20 minutes late and I understood that there would be a late fee. Once I arrived to the location I googled, the directory informed me that they moved 2 years ago to a location 20 minutes from there. I was frustrated and I contacted them and they gave me their new location. I told them that their new location is much closer to my house than their older one and I would have never arrived late if I was aware of their new location. We then agreed that my late fee would be waived. I got to the studio, and the only thing I was able to get done was straighten my hair, fill my brows, do my eyeshadow, and apply eyeshadow. I had to leave early because prom doors closed at 7 and they were taking too long due to not having someone to take care of me. And yet, they charged me the FULL price PLUS the late fee that we agreed they would waive. My prom day was ruined and I had to rush home to finish the makeup off on my own.
