I strongly recommend avoiding this place. I was charged $200 for a service that was advertised at $100 and in my opinion the service was not worth even the original $100. I immediately brought the issue to the attention of the man working at the front desk. He told me that the additional $100 would be returned to my card and instructed me to come back if it wasn't. Unfortunately the money was never refunded. When I returned I was told that they could not see a $200 charge on their end despite the charge clearly showing on my account. I was extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I will not be returning and would not recommend this business to others. read more

Nail Lab is so very unprofessional in Matteson IL. They are very dismissive and do not respect us as a ppl. Don't give them your money!! I received a Manicure yesterday. I expressed then that I felt they were too thin! They disagreed so I hesitatingly paid and left. Next day I look down and 2 are broken. I came in today explained to her, who i just paid my money to yesterday. She says you pay, you wait 40 minutes and dismissed me! Very disrespectful! Would not even look up. Please share! No respect! Vicky is great! Always does an amazing job! The shop is nice and clean with friendly staff!

Had my toes done. The polish wouldn't dry even after having it redone twice and sitting under the fan for an hour. The manager said because I touched it too hard. She blamed me instead of taking accountability. How can you wear shoes with a pedicure that can't be touched after an hour of drying? Poor customer service. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. I've been here 3 times 1st time no problem..2nd time went with my husband for pedi. She went super fast like she was in a race. Fast forward to 7/10/2024 i was gifted a $60 gift card all my services totaled $97. This man went over my cuticles without a 2nd look. I PAID FOR NO CHIP.. today a chip. I will NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. Every time i purchased no chip .. they would chip in like 5 days. This time was hours. I am not going to waste my time fighting with them to fix it. I will take a loss.. I paid $97 to learn a hard lesson to never to go back.. read more

The technician cut my nail bed open !!! I came in for a simple fill-in & a French manicure. She began sanding my nail with the electric grinder tool, then she saw she needed to remove a piece of the old nail before she was able to fill it in. She proceeded to get a pair of cuticle clippers and she dug down into my nail bed and it began to pour blood. When she realized what she had done, she knew she had SCREWED UP!!! She threw those clippers in the trash behind her. I then told her to leave that finger alone. She proceeded to fill in the other 9. She wanted to do that one, but I told her that it might get infected. She pretended she didn't understand what infected meant. She then started complaining about me in a real aggressive voice to her associates. I know she was talking about me. She did a very sloppy job on my nails. Only knocked off $5.00. Now, I have a wedding this weekend, and a finger that cut open, a nail bed exposed to infection. They don't clean their tools, their stations are filthy, nothing is sanitized.. you are getting all the germs of the people before you.. fungus !!! BEWARE OF "MAY" the technician, she is a BUTCHER , and a very SLOPPY TECH. ALL of the technicians there are amateurs, but when they get to the register.. they charge you a different price then they quote you. They gotta get their TIP in there !! SCAM ARTIST !! Also, they allow Peddlers in Selling products while u are getting your nails .. done kinda tacky. But, TACKY FITS THIS PLACE !! Their a SCAM /RIP OFF / BAD BUSINESS read more

This salon customer service is terrible, they don't speak to the customer in a professional manor when the customer dislikes the service or style. The nail tech was very loud and trying to explain why she did the nails the way she wanted when it's not what was requested. She also stated that basic polish would be more money when the original price was told and agreed upon before starting. I asked her to lower her tone and she continued, also started speaking to another man in their language about the situation. He came and stood over and watched. The nail tech that did my toes drilled to hard and the nerves in my toes had so much pain. The economy is so expensive and to come somewhere paying 100 dollars or more each time to be treated poorly is insane. This is my experience!!! read more

Tried this place a few times the first time I was happy the next few times it was disappointing. I had to keep going back for broken nails, popping off and this would be the next day same week. As a regular the last time I was in there I was up charged for asking to have my nails shaped ! Disappointed at the lack of customer service and move from station to station! I'm at Nail Lab after brunch getting a pedicure.. it's a self love day!! I come here mostly for my Pedicures because I love the technician Amber!! I patronize another nail salon for my nails. Amber is always patient and amazing!! Serves my feet and I walk out floating!! It's a normal nail salon. The vibe is not bad but today they had fruit flies/nats flying around that blew me.. AAAAnnnnddd they did not honor my 15% off. Yelp check in coupon!!! I was not happy about that but it's there business so they do what they want. I did let them know I was letting the community know!! This place is nasty!!!! The place looks clean and beautiful, but they gave me a fungus on almost every damn finger! Avoid this place like the plague. This is disgusting and nasty to have a fungus in today's age of advancement with nail care. Disgusting!!! My big toe nail polish did not dry after about 45 minutes. Nails were poorly shaped and no upkeep to cuticles at all. Hands looked horrible. Tech was aloof. I spent $55 mails and $45 pedicure with $5 tip to each. Avoid this nasty rathole!!! read more

Run don't walk away from this place. I came in on a Sunday to get my nails done...I noticed that each finger had air bubbles. I went back in to have them fix it. (Mind you the shape is terrible but I didn't even mention that part) The manager was rude and had the audacity to ask for my receipt. I've never been asked for my receipt to get something fixed at the chop shop. Complete the service correctly the first time and you won't have this issue I would even be ok with it if I was asking them to do more than fix the bubbles. I just let it be and I'm so pissed because this is my graduation set and now I'm not pleased then I asked for coffin n they gave me a shape that was no where near coffin. Then for this to be a 100$ set there was barley a nail and it became 100$ because I wanted coffin and didn't even get coffin. Then the nail tech that did my service she was giving Like she was new then she didn't barely know what todo after a step she did. 0 stars. So i asked for one of their deluxe pedicures. They give me the price: $75. Fine. I live downtown so I'm used to paying $80-$100 for my pedicures. This is literally my second time here in the past year. They did a decent job the first time and I needed a pedicure. I'm also pregnant and needed some convenience. Well while, I'm getting the pedicure I noticed that I'm getting none of the additions. The fresh cucumbers in my water, the extra massages, or aromatherapy oil. It's the same stuff as the basic pedicure. When it's time to check, i say something and the manager pulls up the cameras. Of course there is not a piece of cucumber. He threatens to call the police on me and I said that was fine, I'll wait. he then tells me not to return and this was my second time doing this. I DONT EVEN LIVE HERE. So not only are you false advertising, you are racially profiling. All i have to say is: believe all the bad reviews. read more

I have tried this nail salon multiple times over the course of a few months as I am new to the area. The services are hit or miss every time- from gel manicures, to pedicures, to kiddie mani-pedis- hit or miss. The customer service is ALWAYS TERRIBLE. The prices change every time you get a service (seems like they make them up as they go), and there are no apologies for dissatisfied customers. I am writing this review with sore thumbs as we speak because the nail tech was so ROUGH with my nails and cuticles that they are inflamed. I winced and even asked her if she was okay because she was so rough, yet I did not even receive an apology or anything. She just mumbled under her mask as my fingers were throbbing. This is the worst nail salon. they have terrible attitudes. they lie and they laugh in your face. They don't complete full services. when you get a pedicure they don't put the cuticle softener on your feet before working on them. they dont use the pumice stone and foot grater to smooth your feet and lastly they don't put lotion on after and before polishing your nails. when you ask about it, they ignore you. as if you weren't talking. I wish I could give them no stars the only good thing about this salon is they have a variety of colors and all the latest nail perks but they are rude and only 2 people understand English. I went there because the last time I went and got my nails done the next day it started chipping oh and it was powder by the way so it should not chip then my nails started breaking now or maybe 2 but not 7 nails and four the next day right after getting my nails done but seven all together. My job is not strenuous nor am I lifting heavy things with my hands so how did my nails chip the next day to make a long story short all I asked for was a discount and I also requested for the same person to do my feet that did it the last time and he looked me in my face and told me NO he said you want soaked off so you will have to wait I'm like ok I'll get the pedicure first so by the time the lady gets almost done with my pedi I tell her to stop because I have a big nail and a little nail on my big toes that they were charging me 70 dollars for so I tell her to stop not only that she was being rough the whole time while doing my pedi but to make a long story short I ended up walking out because I was highly upset at that point and I wanted nothing more to do with the place so I left out the door I walked not ran so one came after me by the time I made it to the middle of parking he said I didn't pay I told him I'm not paying for this she messed my feet up he said she finished your feet I said no I stopped her so she didn't finish my feet so he grabs me by arm to tell me to come back in I told him no I'm not going back in there I said you can come by my car im not running and im not paying so he grabs me again and I go off so now there's a crowd then he calls the police I tell him please let them know that I am irate because you grabbed me however I ended up paying 50 because I wasn't trying to get out of paying I was pissed that they fucked me up again so all im going to say is go to them at your own risk read more

My friend and I went here 1.5 weeks ago, paid for gel which seems to be acrylic. I asked CHRIS was it acrylic he said no gel. Never set me under the lamp until he put the "no chip" on my nails. Literally two days later my nails are chipping like I have never seen before. My thumb nail broke off. My entire color peeled off the other thumb. It started to bubble up.I work from home. I'm not doing tons of hard work and never had this issue at any other salon I went to. Stop using cheap products charging us full price. Just when I thought I found a salon around the corner from my house. Smh. Super upset. Nails were messed up for the holiday. I did not go back to fix the issue because my friend had the same problem on her toes no need to go back and get the same thing. I'll find another salon read more

I was excited to try the Nail Lab as it was new, clean and has reasonable prices. I started going there in May around the time they opened. My first experience was ok. Within 2-3 weeks I returned for a no chip fill-in and a no chip pedicure. The girl who did my pedicure didn't seemed very knowledgeable. She began scraping the bottom of my feet before putting them in the water. I asked her to wet my feet first and she became very aggravated telling me, "no this is how you do a pedicure". She finally listened to my request after I refused to let her continue. It was the WORST pedicure that I ever experienced. Instead of the owner listening to my concern he made excuses and tried to tell me I had never had a proper pedicure. Even after that, I decided to give them another try. Why? Because they are close to my home and other shops in the area aren't the cleanest. The next few times I went, within a few days my polish chipped and I would need to have my nail/s fixed. Sometimes it was more than once between fill-ins. This time was the last and FINAL time I will ever patronize the Nail Lab. Within a 9 day span I had to go back 3 times to have chipped polished fixed. On the 3rd visit I asked to speak to the owner. He was rude, disrespectful and dismissive! I expressed to him that I did not appreciate his tone with me and the way that he dismissed my concerns. He suggested that I pay to have my nails completely redone vs. acknowledging the inconvenience that it has caused me to keep coming back. He continuously spoke over me. He further insulted me by treating me as if I was trying to scam him into fixing my nail and suggested that it was something I did and that I needed to pay. I would not recommend the Nail Lab. The owner is disrespectful, the service isn't consistent and the products are of poor quality. read more

I went two weeks ago to get acrylic nails with gel polish as well as a no chip pedicure. Nevertheless my toe nail polish chipped. No big deal, however I came in today for a fill-in with polish on the tips only (French) and it was an extra $5. While the young man was giving me a fill-in, I noticed that my cuticles looked ragged, so I asked for him to fix it and guess what? $8 extra!!! At this point I am livid because these folks are nickeling and diming. I thought that this should be included in giving a fill-in. So to recap, (I forgot to mention that if you want a 'stoned color' it's $10 extra) When you come here, expect NO PRICE BOARD, NO PRICE SHEETS or anything. Just like I told the man who kept giving me random pricing, where are you getting the prices from? The back of your head, your bum? What? How can someone make an informed decision without being aware of your pricing? I won't be back there. They have to do better!! read more

I am a consistent customer at this nail salon I've never had a bad experience until yesterday. I got a no chip pedicure & a (acrylic) fill in. The pedicure was okay but once got in the chair for nails everything got worst. I believe the nail techs name was Sherry. She sits closest to the door. The first red flag I noticed was when she answered the phone, she was extremely rude. I'm sure someone was asking a simple question but she spoke to them very rudely & hung up the phone. Another observation was that she yelled & screamed throughout the salon & although I couldn't understand the language she was speaking I could tell from her mannerisms, facial expressions, & loud yelling that she was being mean. They also kept a elderly black woman waiting for over 40 minutes to get a pedicure only. Sherry was also on the phone while doing my nails. As she continued to do my nails she wanted me to put my nails under the light. I go to do that & she immediately starts yelling at me telling me "don't do that your going to mess your nails up". I said ma'am don't do what? I'm putting my nails under the light. I get my nails done all the time I'm not messing anything up. Then she proceeds to tell me to put my nails under the light which I do. May I add that I was never rude to her I was very quiet & kind. She finally gets done I tell her I'm going to go wash my hands. So she says ok, I get done washing my hands and immediately go to the front desk to pay. She wasn't there yet so I waited, but then I see her (not looking in my direction at all) looking around for me with a huge attitude as if she thought I ran off without paying. Then we make eye contact and she sees that I in fact didn't run off! Very laughable moment. So she comes & tells me my total was $108.00. Now I always get a (acrylic) fill in & a pedicure. Like I said I'm a consistent costumer here. And my total is never $108.00 I didn't get any extra details or any extra services. So I know she up charged me out of spite. I paid & didn't even ask for a manager to complain because I'm a black woman & it will always be my word against theirs. Like I said I'm very unproblematic so I decided not to even argue but to instead leave a review. I definitely don't recommend you go to Sherry! She has orangish brown hair & it's in a ponytail. You will know her because she's a mad woman. read more
