The technician cut my nail bed open !!! I came in for a simple fill-in & a French manicure. She began sanding my nail with the electric grinder tool, then she saw she needed to remove a piece of the old nail before she was able to fill it in. She proceeded to get a pair of cuticle clippers and she dug down into my nail bed and it began to pour blood. When she realized what she had done, she knew she had SCREWED UP!!! She threw those clippers in the trash behind her. I then told her to leave that finger alone. She proceeded to fill in the other 9. She wanted to do that one, but I told her that it might get infected. She pretended she didn't understand what infected meant. She then started complaining about me in a real aggressive voice to her associates. I know she was talking about me. She did a very sloppy job on my nails. Only knocked off $5.00. Now, I have a wedding this weekend, and a finger that cut open, a nail bed exposed to infection. This salon customer service is terrible, they don't speak to the customer in a professional manor when the customer dislikes the service or style. The nail tech was very loud and trying to explain why she did the nails the way she wanted when it's not what was requested. She also stated that basic polish would be more money when the original price was told and agreed upon before starting. I asked her to lower her tone and she continued, also started speaking to another man in their language about the situation. He came and stood over and watched. Run don't walk away from this place. I came in on a Sunday to get my nails done...I noticed that each finger had air bubbles. I went back in to have them fix it. (Mind you the shape is terrible but I didn't even mention that part) The manager was rude and had the audacity to ask for my receipt. I've never been asked for my receipt to get something fixed at the chop shop. Complete the service correctly the first time and you won't have this issue I would even be ok with it if I was asking them to do more than fix the bubbles. This is literally my second time here in the past year. They did a decent job the first time and I needed a pedicure. I'm also pregnant and needed some convenience. Well while, I'm getting the pedicure I noticed that I'm getting none of the additions. The fresh cucumbers in my water, the extra massages, or aromatherapy oil. I have tried this nail salon multiple times over the course of a few months as I am new to the area. The services are hit or miss every time- from gel manicures, to pedicures, to kiddie mani-pedis- hit or miss. The customer service is ALWAYS TERRIBLE. The prices change every time you get a service (seems like they make them up as they go), and there are no apologies for dissatisfied customers. My friend and I went here 1.5 weeks ago, paid for gel which seems to be acrylic. I asked CHRIS was it acrylic he said no gel. Never set me under the lamp until he put the "no chip" on my nails. Literally two days later my nails are chipping like I have never seen before. My thumb nail broke off. My entire color peeled off the other thumb. It started to bubble up.I work from home. I'm not doing tons of hard work and never had this issue at any other salon I went to. Stop using cheap products charging us full price. I was excited to try the Nail Lab as it was new, clean and has reasonable prices. I started going there in May around the time they opened. My first experience was ok. Within 2-3 weeks I returned for a no chip fill-in and a no chip pedicure. The girl who did my pedicure didn't seemed very knowledgeable. She began scraping the bottom of my feet before putting them in the water. I asked her to wet my feet first and she became very aggravated telling me, "no this is how you do a pedicure". She finally listened to my request after I refused to let her continue. It was the WORST pedicure that I ever experienced. Instead of the owner listening to my concern he made excuses and tried to tell me I had never had a proper pedicure. Even after that, I decided to give them another try. Why? Because they are close to my home and other shops in the area aren't the cleanest. The next few times I went, within a few days my polish chipped and I would need to have my nail/s fixed. Sometimes it was more than once between fill-ins. This time was the last and FINAL time I will ever patronize the Nail Lab. Within a 9 day span I had to go back 3 times to have chipped polished fixed. On the 3rd visit I asked to speak to the owner. He was rude, disrespectful and dismissive! I expressed to him that I did not appreciate his tone with me and the way that he dismissed my concerns. He suggested that I pay to have my nails completely redone vs. acknowledging the inconvenience that it has caused me to keep coming back. He continuously spoke over me. He further insulted me by treating me as if I was trying to scam him into fixing my nail and suggested that it was something I did and that I needed to pay. I would not recommend the Nail Lab. No big deal, however I came in today for a fill-in with polish on the tips only (French) and it was an extra $5. I am a consistent customer at this nail salon I've never had a bad experience until yesterday. I got a no chip pedicure & a (acrylic) fill in. The pedicure was okay but once got in the chair for nails everything got worst. I believe the nail techs name was Sherry. She sits closest to the door. The first red flag I noticed was when she answered the phone, she was extremely rude. I'm sure someone was asking a simple question but she spoke to them very rudely & hung up the phone. Another observation was that she yelled & screamed throughout the salon & although I couldn't understand the language she was speaking I could tell from her mannerisms, facial expressions, & loud yelling that she was being mean. They also kept a elderly black woman waiting for over 40 minutes to get a pedicure only. Sherry was also on the phone while doing my nails. As she continued to do my nails she wanted me to put my nails under the light. I go to do that & she immediately starts yelling at me telling me "don't do that your going to mess your nails up". I said ma'am don't do what? I'm putting my nails under the light. I get my nails done all the time I'm not messing anything up. Then she proceeds to tell me to put my nails under the light which I do. May I add that I was never rude to her I was very quiet & kind. She finally gets done I tell her I'm going to go wash my hands. So she says ok, I get done washing my hands and immediately go to the front desk to pay. She wasn't there yet so I waited, but then I see her (not looking in my direction at all) looking around for me with a huge attitude as if she thought I ran off without paying. Then we make eye contact and she sees that I in fact didn't run off! Very laughable moment. So she comes & tells me my total was $108.00. Now I always get a (acrylic) fill in & a pedicure. Like I said I'm a consistent costumer here. And my total is never $108.00 I didn't get any extra details or any extra services. So I know she up charged me out of spite. I paid & didn't even ask for a manager to complain because I'm a black woman & it will always be my word against theirs.
