Went in for my appointment cane oit feeling like 1000000 bucks.. thank you so much I needed this cut for way to long.

Overpriced. Showed them a picture of what I wanted and my hair didn't even come close to what I showed them. Annoyed but I learned never coming back here again. 0/10 just save your money trust me. Not to mentioned I showed up on time and was time my hairdresser was running behind had to wait 40 minutes. read more

Bad vibe. Incredibly rude workers again. Shite haircut. Never again anywhere. They ar Donezo.

Came in for a last minute haircut for a wedding. Allison (and the rest of the staff) was amazing! I'm not picky so I took her professional opinion and trusted her expertise. I left looking and feeling great. Everyone was extremely polite, having actual conversations rather than boring small talk, and mixed in a surprising amount of jokes. I came in a stranger and left like I had made a whole group of friends. I will definitely be back. read more

I left extremely upset, my hairstylist kept complaining how thick my hair was the whole time I was there. Not only that but she kept pointing out that I had gray hairs, which I'm very self conscious about. Then she showed me how much she was going to cut off on my hair which was only supposed to be a trim. When she showed me I was absolutely devastated that most of hair was gone, she cut off way more. This was the worst experience I've ever had. Won't be coming here again. read more

I had an appt with Amanda for a balayage. I was excited about this because this place is about 15 minutes from my house and I've been on the hunt for a colorist who knows what's up! It's harder than it sounds, people! Amanda was cool, she's friendly and attentive. She listened good and gave me input on what I want and what we can achieve. She went to work pretty quick - no wasting time comparing swatches of base colors or blonds. She just gathered the info and set the wheels into motion, it was very refreshing. She worked to place color on my roots and strands and even that process seemed quick. I sat under a dryer for not very long and after a quick tone, I was ready for drying/styling! I was so happy with the color. It's exactly what I wanted. The blond pieces are very natural looking, the placement is seamless, and the base was a perfect match to my natural and compliments my skin tone. She covered all my hairline grays and gave me just enough oooomph! She dried my hair into perfect segments and then went through it with a curling wand. It turned out perfect. I am thrilled to have found her, for real. read more

Always welcoming service. A place to check out if you need a haircut or any hair services.

My first time at Hair Performers! Amanda Renee did my hair. I completely loved my hair during my second visit and here's why... My first visit, right before Christmas I met Amanda and really thought I wanted highlights because I knew balayage would take 8+hours. (From my previous experience.) So when I told Amanda I wanted highlights she basically said, "Gurl. That's not what's hot right now." And of course, she was right. I showed Amanda a recent picture of the balayge work she posted on FB, and told her I wanted the exact balayage. However, I did not want it to take all day. She said this was a high balayage, meaning my color would start close to my scalp. Okay no problem. Let's do it! Side note: At that time, my bangs had grown out and I wanted them to have balayage. Amanda asked me how I parted my hair and then she began to work. After color, blow dry, and style my hair was kinda cute. It did not look like the photo I showed her but I thought my hair would grow on me. Well, I was wrong. Amanda having listened to my needs, delivered quickly. After a couple days, I noticed some brassy areas and wanted it corrected. When I came back, she added more color to my crown and BAM -- my hair was exactly like her previous client. (Maybe even better.) Amanda was not upset or frustrated at the fact that I wanted it corrected. She was 100% professional. I would highly recommend Amanda because she is professional, her work represents quality, and is real with you. Peace, love and cheese fries, Diana read more

I've been going to this place for over 10 years now and I thought it's about time to give those guys some recognition My experience throughout the years has been excellent. Always polite and great quality haircuts. It's very hard to get good personal service those days and that's why I am planning to keep coming back. read more

After reading the nasty comment below I can say how complete opposite this place is. My children are Hispanic and have never had any of the stylists be racist to any of us. I have been a customer for 2 years now and was recommended to go to Missy. I live by Midway and make the trek out here. My 3 other kids go to to Missy. If by chance Missy is behind, she will ask if another stylist can do our hair if available and we will. Always have had a great experience here. Making my next appt for the holidays. read more

The past few times I have been in the salon they have had Fox News on every TV. Several stylists were talking about how much they loved Trump. I don't know why they changed from ESPN or HGTV to Fox, but it's not an improvement. I really like my stylist. I just don't know if I want to keep going to a salon where everyone is talking politics. I mentioned it to an employee who said it was their right to show what they wanted on TV. Can't we just have one place where we can get away from politics? read more

Racist lady told me she would call the cops on me ,just because I said " it's not even faded " Trash! she told me to my face that she thought I was going run without paying ., the second stylist tried to fix my cut ,but it was unfixable . I wouldn't recommend my enemies here . And I still paid and tipped with my head held high. (to the side because my haircut is garbage) read more

I have been going to Brooke for almost 8 years. I will never trust another person to touch my hair. She is amazing, gives me exactly what I ask for and more!! Makes me feel comfortable whenever I come in!! I love her and will never go to anyone else! read more

Seen Kaylee spontaneously and my hair needed some TLC. She was always so kind and reassuring! Always asking if I needed to adjusted, or if she was hurting me, if temps were too hot or cold, offered me water. Professional and friendly, she worked wonders! 10/10 would recommend her again! read more

I am newer to the area and very specific about who I let do my hair. I moved from the city to out here and wanted to find something closer to me. Let's just say this place was great! I had scheduled my appointment same day for 6pm for a cut and balayage and they were able to get me in. When I arrived I was greeted instantly and only waited about less than five minutes before I was in the chair. My hairstylist was great and took her time to know what I wanted. My only real complaint was my pink hair only lasted me ONE DAY! I was utterly upset that it completely washed out all of the color and basically I only had it pink for one day. I was completely disappointed in this. I wanted to go back to get this fixed but thought it'd be the same thing over again and I'd waste my money coloring it for nothing. I will come back here for sure but as for hair coloring (which this was my first time doing something like this) I think I'll have to go somewhere else.. read more

I went here to get my hair done for a 1920s charity event. I've gotten my haircut here a few times, and have taken my son for his hair. Everyone here is very nice and friendly, the atmosphere is very classy. The facility seem very clean and everybody that I've ever had work on my hair and my sons hair has been super nice. The picture we posted is the final hairdo for my updo. Gina was the best, and have some ideas ready for me before my appointment. You can walk into this or make an appointment - great place! read more

Had a 9am appointment on Friday and salon was still closed. When attendant arrived she saw me standing outside and still took her time letting me in. Once inside she proceeded to tell me my appointment was canceled. Totally understandable when someone is sick to call off. A call would've been appreciated before I left for my appointment. Poor customer service, very unprofessional. read more

Silvia cut my hair. I wanted to love this place since I just move in town and is near my house. She was so rough on my scalp it felt okay as she washed my hair but it's been 30 min and my scalp now burns from deep penetration of her nails. I cut off 8 in off my hair and she cut one side shorter than the other and I couldn't have her fix it as it mean to cut off more and it was already above shoulder length. The plan was to cut to shoulder length and to cut a bit below as my hair is curly and would get shorter. I didn't make a big deal bc i now my hair will grow again. Not a place I want to go again well at least not with her. read more

I was looking for a new place to get my hair done when my stylist no longer worked where I used to go. My friend referred me to Amanda and I was a little nervous because I have very long hair and I love my hair so I'm always nervous about trying new people and I have to say she is AMAZING!!!!! I went in for a consultation we talked about what I wanted and I showed her a picture I saw and loved the color and then she showed me her work and let's be real here when you find a photo of a color it's not gonna be that exact color but I gotta say it was super close and I loved the color we did even more!! She is your go to girl, not only is her work great but she's also got an amazing, fun, calming personality to go along with it so if you are looking for a new stylist she does it all!!! read more

I've been getting my hair done by Amanda C. at Hair Performers for the past 2 or 3 years. She can work miracles! When I first started going there my hair was a disaster; I had breakage, box color, split ends, frizz... Basically everything a woman hates was my hair and Amanda fixed me right up! She takes the time to get what you want and need completed and is an amazing colorist! She also gives her honest opinion about what type of style/color will work with you, but obviously move forward if you disagree. I've found many stylists will tell you you should do something to your hair you probably shouldn't and then tell you it looks great afterward even though it may not be the best. Amanda is extremely helpful in making her clients happy and giving them the best look she can, in turn boosting confidence levels to the max. I recently moved and still travel the distance to have Amanda do my hair! She really is the BEST! read more

Never get highlights here! I was so disapppointed and upset, after spending 6 1/2 hrs here and having my highlights done twice because they didn't turn out right the first time, the second time it turned out even worse and my hair turned green, then they had me pay and expected me to come back to try a third time? Are u kidding, did they really think I would let them touch my hair again? Talked to manager Laura about a refund , she said she had to talk to owner and call me back... Still waiting for a call back a week and a half later! So to sum it up I paid $125 to have them ruin my hair and had to pay a reputable beautician $180 to fix their screw up!!!! read more

Before I begin, please know I never even made it to the part where I actually get my hair done, so this review is primarily based upon customer service. I had never been to this salon before, and only stepped foot in the door because I had a 50% off coupon on the back of a Jewel receipt and thought I'd give it a shot. (I've been going to the same amazing stylist for the last five years. I think this terrible experience was the universe's way of telling me not to cheat on my stylist.) I walked in a told the woman behind the desk that I needed a haircut and that I had the Jewel coupon. She informed me that the coupon was for a junior stylist, and that there weren't any there at the moment, but that she would check to see if I could still use the coupon with a master stylist. Okay, cool. I had a seat in the waiting area and she proceeded to ask three different stylists (right in front of me) if they were "willing to do a 50% haircut." They all seemed annoyed that she had even asked, and made excuses for why they could not. It was if they were all trying to push the cut onto another stylist, which made me feel very uncomfortable and not at all valued. Finally, one stylist said, "Fine, I'll take it." Oh, how kind of you. Again, I felt uncomfortable and as if she was doing me a favor (not how a customer should ever feel), but I was willing to overlook it and just get the cut. The stylist (who did not introduce herself to me, so I do not know her name - very professional) escorted me straight to the shampoo bowl and directed me to "lean back." Confused, I said, "You're not going to give me a consultation before you wash my hair?" She responded with, "I can if you want." I told her that I had changed my mind about the haircut, to which she responded, "Okay!" and began walking away from me. I am a stylist myself, and I am also acclimated to proper service when I go to a salon - the fact that she was just going to wash my hair without really even looking at it, without finding out what I wanted, and without giving me even a semblance of a consultation blows my mind. And the customer service in general speaks for itself - I'm sure I do not need to further elaborate on that. The worst part about this is that this salon is ADVERTISING on the BACK OF JEWEL RECEIPTS, presumably to BRING CUSTOMERS IN THE DOOR. And look at that, it worked. You got me in with your coupon. But then you blew it. I do not ask for exceptional customer service (although I do think I am deserving of it), I just ask for basic respect and standard service. But at Hair Performers, I suppose that is asking too much. read more

My experience was extremely disappointing!! I showed a picture of how I wanted my bangs cut, simple right? NOPE!!! Jill gave me a bowl cut - straight across like Moe from the 3 stooges. It looked NOTHING like the picture I showed her. Either she didn't get a good look at the pic or she just didn't care. I honestly shouldn't have even paid for this hideous cut!! Jill should take a refresher course so she can get with the times and styles. 1970's is waay over! Will never, ever go back there! read more

Amanda demonstrates the professional and fun experience every salon visit should be. She works very closely with you and uses her years of skill set to highlight her expertise. She makes you feel comfortable, and offers her own suggestions if you are unsure of a new do/color. One thing I love most about working with Amanda is she will not make any false promises... (Meaning) If several sessions are needed to achieve your desired look or if your expectations are unrealistic she will let you know upfront that way, you can come to a solution TOGETHER. I always look forward to my next appointment with her because I never leave looking less than a million bucks. If I could leave more stars I would! You go Glen Co Co! read more
