It's my very first time coming to The Style Lounge on Saturday, and Tara was very friendly, knowledgeable, and talented at what she does. I might have put off getting my hair care for a bit, and she was able to work her magic and revive my hair. She also made great suggestions about the Olaplex treatment, which my hair needed. She is also very personable, and I enjoyed getting to know her and how she started doing hair etc. I'm looking forward to coming back. I'd recommend Tara to anyone in the area looking for a hairstylist. There's also plenty of free parking in the back of the salon. I also love that they take Zelle, Venmo etc, which makes it so easy to settle the tab. They're also on Vagaro, which made it super easy to book a time -- the software can be a bit clunky. I would not recommend services after my last visit. Amanda's a nice person but tests the limitations of hair integrity without consideration of the client. I had additional bleach added to my hair on the ends which destroyed the hair she proceeded a week or so prior. I had seven shades of blond and noticeable lines where highlights started. I told her my wedding was months away. I've spent well over 1,000 dollars for treatments and color correction since her services. read more

I inquired via text and was told they were well versed in short hair cuts for curly hair. I got a LOT of hair cut off into a short cut. No layering, no thinning out, no special techniques. Basically just cutting my thick coarse hair the way I could cut it myself at home. It took a very long time (a LOT of talking going on) and the shop smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I have a tendency not to speak up when I don't like a haircut and regret it later. That is exactly what happened. I texted her later and she told me to come in and she would fix it. I got it fixed for free and it looked somewhat better.She used some thinning techniques which should have been used the first time. I didn't have to pay for that redo. She told me if I still didn't like it, I could come back. I am a low maintenance person and do not want to have to come in three times for a decent haircut. May be fine for some people, but they clearly couldn't handle my hair texture and style. read more

The hidden gem! I would definitely say this is the perfect way to describe this salon. My sister found them on the internet and booked us for the next day. We have been going to different salons for over a year and never found one that impressed us enough to go back...until today!! At first glance it is very a very unassuming building and tucked away. I'm sure I've driven past it multiple times before, but never really knew what was there. Upon entering, the owner was very welcoming and right away saw my two girls (ages 7 and 9) and said that she had a room they could use to play or hang out in while I received my hair services. She asked if they needed anything to help them get comfortable and went out of her way to keep them happy which I greatly appreciated. My colorist took her time to make sure my highlights were exactly the way I was expecting and everyone of them came over to check and help out which was amazing. I rarely take any time for myself so when I have multiple ladies pampering me, I really feel special. I didn't feel at all rushed or that my kids were a burden and my sister had an amazing experience as well. We will definitely be back and will be telling all our friends and family about this hidden gem and coming from us that is a BIG deal! read more

The girls here are AWESOME! For a new salon, they really have their act together. They know what they're doing, and they're up on what's trending so you don't have to explain it to them. A few of the older salons in the area aren't keen on trying new styles, so you have to explain it to them. That is not the case here, and I'm glad to see it. I highly recommend this place. read more
