I was beyond stressed, but Dr. Lodl went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. He treats his patients with a level of compassion and patience that is rare to find. It's no surprise he was recognized as a Denver 7 Everyday Hero and a 5280 Top Dentist. If you have dental anxiety or are just looking for a great dental practice, look no further.

Beyond his skill, Dr. Lodl is a man of genuine integrity, and that matters so much when it comes to healthcare. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such an exceptional dentist and practice. It honestly saddens me to see any negative comments online because they do not reflect my experience in any way. I cannot even imagine the situations being described. I trust Dr. Lodl so completely that I would and do recommend him to my own daughter. That says everything. If you are considering making an appointment, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so. Warning to Prospective Patients: Based on my personal…read moreexperience, I have serious concerns about the quality of care, follow-up, and pricing transparency at Arvada Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and with Dr. David Zeitlin. I underwent a full-mouth restoration, including upper and lower dentures and multiple extractions, at a cost of approximately $20,000. At the time, I believed I was beginning a process that would be supported through completion, with the goal of restoring my smile and quality of life. Nearly three years later, I am deeply disappointed to say that consistent follow-up and clear guidance toward completion have not occurred. This has been not only frustrating, but disheartening--especially given the importance of this type of treatment. I also experienced a significant difference between the initial estimate and the final amount requested, which was not clearly explained in advance. When I raised my concerns with the office, I did not feel that they were handled with the level of care, understanding, or accountability I had hoped for as a patient. At 70 years old, this has been a difficult experience, and I would not want others--especially those facing major dental procedures--to go through something similar. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and fully understand the long-term plan before proceeding. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

During that time, I received wonderful dental care in a warm & friendly environment, that was covered by my dental insurance allotment. But now, things have drastically changed! I just needed a small touch up from one that was a bit too low. He Guaranteed me that he could fix my bite. $3000 for a $150 bite guard that I was to wear for far too long to "get my jaw right". It was never not right, just a tooth a little too low. After that, instead of raising the one lower tooth, he took a dremel and ground my others down, making them sharp as razors so they constantly cut my tongue, and after too many visits to get it "right"--or even close to that, I gave up and cut my losses. I've filed them down myself with a nail file to prevent a ravaged tongue. And that was an additional $3000--$6000 up front for the whole deal--cash out of pocket. That was a couple grand more than the original 5 crowns to begin with. Not one day has gone by that I am not in pain and it has been years. I've been to 4 other dentists and none of them want to touch the problem now. I can no longer chew like one should, so many foods are taboo and most aren't chewed well, creating more problems. No grinding, like for salad. I can't even put my teeth together unless there is food to fill in the rough terrain. Like gravel on gravel. My only real mistake--going there in the first place. Nice guy--certainly. Occlusal specialist--not even close. I've few regrets in life--but this tops the list. I could drone on, but I needed to put this to rest here.

Finally, after two different terrible dental experiences in Denver, I found an honest and…read moretrustworthy practice to patron. Rocky Mountain Dental Group was referred to me by my coworker whose husband has been going there for years, and she spoke very highly of them - I am glad I took her word! Due to the first unfortunate incident, I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in about a year - though all my life I've been diligent about visiting the dentist every 6 months - so when I went to my last dentist I was hoping to remedy the situation and get back on track. However, the hygienist supposedly diagnosed me with early periodontal disease and claimed I would need a series of "deep cleanings," which I found out would not be covered by insurance, and would cost me about $1200 over a years worth of cleanings. I never had any issues with my teeth, and neither the dentist or hygienist explained to me what my symptoms were or made any attempt to help me understand what they saw that led them to this conclusion. I was already skeptical after leaving so decided to call back and schedule a regular cleaning (since I didn't even get one while I was there) and they informed me I would be explained the dangers of refusing their deep cleaning treatments and have to sign a waiver of all responsibility if I didn't go through with it. Well needless to say that really made me question their motives, so I searched for a second opinion. Immediately when I called Rocky Mountain Dental Group they made me feel comfortable. The woman I spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even got my x-rays from the previous dentist with ease. I was able to get an appointment within a week of when I called. My hygienist, Dave, was wonderful - he almost immediately dismissed the idea that I had periodontal disease and explained to me exactly how to determine the symptoms of the disease via my x-rays. He conducted a thorough exam of my mouth and explained to me every step of the way what he was doing and why. He said his job is to educate his patients and I really appreciated that. I now feel like I can avoid being taken advantage of again with claims of periodontal disease. The doctor also examined my teeth and assured me that I had no issues to be concerned about other than some minor gingivitis. They didn't push any unnecessary procedures, made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and went above and beyond in answering all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Dental Group and am so relieved I finally found an honest, smart, and responsible dental practice.

The office is very welcoming, clean, and orderly. Each hygienist gets there own room that they personalize and I think that's adorable.
