Everyone through the whole process was extremely helpful, kind, and courteous. John King, Kenton Beachy, and Gideon King were all top-notch to work with. From the time the crew arrived, they were all polite and went straight to work. Each man knew his specific tasks, and you could tell from the start their craftsmanship was second to none. My garage is 24 x 30. The lead man Jake told me they would have it done by evening. I was sceptical at first, but they flew right into their work. Much to my surprise, by that evening, they had my garage up and were packing up their equipment ready to head out for their next job! The project turned out better than I had anticipated! Exactly as another reviewer has stated. The salespeople are entirely unresponsive in responding to questions and in getting back with a potential customer. Promises for a return call that NEVER materializes. Submitted requests for estimate that never get fulfilled. They may have a great product (I can't seem to get mine ordered so how would i know this) but the front end of the sales end sucks! No customer should be forced to repeatedly try to chase down a salesman only to be told he will call you back and then never does! I am tired of the front phone receptionist telling me they are "all with customers or on the phones" This doesn't explain why they don't RETURN calls in a timely fashion. My rep was Ryan D. If you know what you want when you first call, then great. But otherwise prepare to have salespeople be entirely unhelpful after the first call. And if you need to have something assembled on site, be prepared to spend an additional huge chunk of change above the website's "build-on-site" price for that effort. Frankly, it's false advertising. I was quoted on the website a build-on-site price of X, and then my sales rep, who would not answer the phone or call back, and was clearly not paying attention to the email chain, informed me I'd be charged an extra NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS above the web's build-on-site price to have the structure built on site. He might as well have added "and we really don't care if we get your business" because that was the unmistakable vibe. In 12 days, this place showed its colors, and I'm glad. I don't want to give a place like this my money to get in a bad situation later on. There are other suppliers, and I'm happy to use one of them. read more

This has been the best experience I have ever had with any company in my 26 years as a homeowner. I started this process of building a garage 2-3 years ago. I called local builders. Two of them never returned my calls, and one guy chewed me out for finding his number on the web and calling him without being referred by someone. I'm not kidding, this is how the building contractor experience is right now in New England. My web searches always turned up Sheds Unlimited and I saw that they had stories from folks in New England who had used them to build garages even though they are in Pennsylvania. I decided to go through the quote process. There was a similar shed & garage company closer to my home in New England so I got quotes from both of them for similar garages. The New England company quoted me a number that was 2 1/2 times higher than Sheds Unlimited quote. I decided to go with Sheds Unlimited. I worked with Sergey in sales over many emails on exactly what I wanted. There was never a moment when he seemed bothered or impatient by my questions and my changes. Everything was possible and everything had a clear dollar amount, the sale never felt rushed. I finally decided on a design and paid the deposit. The local permit process went smoothly with the plans I purchased from Sheds Unlimited. The process of getting a foundation and pad from a local contractor was probably the most difficult part of the process. Contractors that do concrete work, are used to working with builders, not private homeowners. But I found a guy and gave him the plan and I eventually got a nice pad and foundation. I told Michael from Sheds Unlimited the pad was ready and I expected to wait 10+ weeks since it was now summertime. I got the call only 5 weeks later from Gideon the project manager that they were ready. On the scheduled day Nathan and his crew of 3 young, hard working Amish carpenters arrived and discovered that my driveway was the worst-case scenario. They could not get their very long and heavy trailer up our driveway due to the tightness of the turn and narrowness of the driveway. So they had to unload everything from the trailer at the road to my build site which is about 900 feet from the public road. They dealt with local vehicle traffic, and unhelpful local police. The young crew had to run back and forth the 900 feet to walk alongside the forklift to make sure the preconstructed structural members did not swing into trees. Not once did they show any frustration or anger. Nathan was still positive and smiling when I talked with him about it later. So after all this arrival difficulty, when they finally starting constructing the garage, it went up incredibly fast. Every worker knew their part. There was no question about what they should be doing. They practically got the whole 2-story 2 car garage up in one day even after the delay from the driveway issues. They only stopped for the day when torrential rain finally started. They showed up at 5:30 AM the next day and finished the job. I can't say enough great things about what I witnessed with this construction crew. Like I said, I have never seen anything like them in 26 years of hiring various contractors for home projects. I ordered replacement doors from Sheds Unlimited, from their Morgantown, PA facility. The website and sales person said they were 5 feet wide. I paid $395 for them, which seemed reasonable. Then at the end of the call, I was told that shipping would be an additional $270! While I thought the shipping price was outrageous, I agreed so that I could get this project done. When the doors arrived, it turns out they are 61 inches (30.5 inches each), and they don't fit! Sheds Unlimited told me to cut my door jambs. My carpenter told me that it would take substantial work to do so. Sheds Unlimited told me that my carpenter was full of it, and they said they would send a local crew but it would cost at least $300 to $375 for the local crew to cut my jambs. I said that I am not paying $1000 for shed doors that should have cost no more than $400 total. Then they fought me on a refund. "Our invoice says we do not guarantee the fit." Fair enough, but you promised 60 inch doors, not 61 inch doors. Finally they acquiesced and agreed to refund the price of the doors, but they would not refund the $270 shipping costs. (Even though their local crew is coming to pick up the doors.) I will never use this company again, and if you do so, you run a real risk of getting ripped off. read more

Recently purchased a shed. I did a lot of reesearch including those manufactureres locally and found the sheds unlimited overall price to be lower. Do not be fooled by the price on the website. I needed to add about 900 USD to my 8 by 12 shed price for shipping costs and tax etc. Still was about 400 less than the local guys for a design that my wife liked better. It was delivered on time on the hottest day of the year by a guy who was obviously tired from a long day of shed delivery. Yet, he was friendly and efficient. THe shed was loaded on their truck and dropped in the bed I had prepped in less than 25 minutes. The workmanship seems to be good. No leaks everything works and the painting was as ordered. Delivery was on the day specified and in the time specified. So far so good. read more

I ordered a custom built 8x14 high barn style storage shed. I did a significant amount of research into quality and costs for comparable sheds. Sheds unlimited was nearly the cheapest and was by far and away the best shed I've seen. It has been installed for nearly a month now and I am still as blown away as i was when it was installed. All of the higher end details were covered, extra bracing on roof joists, solid complete construction. There are a number of reviews discussing installation, I could not have imagined how easy and professional it would be. My driveway is narrow and uphill. The driver used the mule to bring the shed exactly where I wanted it without a scratch. I have personally recommended Sheds Unlimited to a few of my neighbors and I can't recommend them enough. If you are looking for a very high quality shed that was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than any of the local places--from chains like Lowe's, Home Depot and Agway--to smaller advertised shops--go no further. I am in northern NJ and while I had to pay for delivery it was still cheaper than the "Free Delivery" places... Don't waste your time elsewhere. read more

1 star is for really bad customer service and BAD policies. I had my old shed demolished and a cement slab put in place over the weekend in order to have everything ready for my delivery date of 3/26. I received an email on Monday, 3/23 telling me that all production was shut down. I called them to see if they knew how long this shutdown was going to be in place and they didn't know. I wanted my deposit money back based on the fact that they were no longer able to deliver and didn't know when they could. I told them to call me and let me know when they could deliver my shed, but in the mean time I wanted my deposit back. They INSISTED on keeping 5% of the deposit as a fee to get a refund. What a joke. The excuses for the fee ranged from the fact that they have to pay transaction fees to credit card companies (which is a cost of doing business) and that I signed a contract. The fact that they don't know when they can deliver made me want my money back ASAP, so why should a conract that I signed force me to let them keep 5% when they have know idea when they can deliver? I made them well aware that they would be losing a customer because of this but they didn't care. WOW! It was like I was talking to a bunch of robots that just had "THIS IS OUR POLICY" programmed. I understand that this policy maybe makes sense when a customer just changes their mind. I was expecting the delivery this week and they couldn't tell me when they couldn't deliver. I don't think it's that unusual to want a refund. Why should they keep 5% when this is not my fualt and they can't deliver? No matter how much sense my argument made they wouldn't hear it. They are obviously desperate to keep other people's money in their pockets in a time of uncertainty. read more

Ordered a shed 8x14 with extra door on end of shed. Pricing in ball park with others when shipping included. Locals wanted to charge an additional fee for a small fork lift device called a mule these guys provide for free. An absolutely needed device for tight places. Mule can just about make a zero clearance turn. Initial lookover found no problems and delivery was as promised. Don't be afraid of tight drive ways or other obstructions if you have clearance and height for the shed. read more

With respect to the anonymous review above, I could not disagree more. I have not even purchased my garage yet but I will be buying from Sheds Unlimited. I am an engineer and very good with my hands. I asked a ton of questions and got answers to all and more plus technical drawings and customized changes to suite my needs. I will be ordering this Spring and will update then. I'm taking my $10,000 elsewhere and spend it with a business that has the common sense to respond to the Customer. ...
