Nicci is my stylist and he knows hair like the back of your hand. He is amazing and deals with all sorts of hair types. He can do coloring, styling, up-dos and more. Nothing beats the conversations though. Nicci is so much fun. You won't go wrong if you come here. My entire family comes to the salon. Even though I have moved out of town, I still drive back to Bellingham to get my hair done because the styling is great, the prices are reasonable, and the AVEDA products are ease on the hair. Dani is another excellent stylist here. The stylists at the Cat N Fiddle practically become members of your family. They are so warm and do a great job. The location is also beautiful. There are great views of Fairhaven and the bay. The salon is also beautifully decorated in a historic Fairhaven building. There are always great tunes playing behind the scenes too. Coming to the salon is not only a great experience for your hair, but it is just too much fun! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!

I left a voicemail in a panic and got a call first thing the next morning that Nicci would cut and color my hair that day! So I didn't end up getting that job, but I have become a very satisfied regular customer for the past year. Going to Cat N Fiddle is kind of like going to your favorite coffee house. You get what you expect---EVERY time. These guys have years of experience and traning as well. Other salons come and gone but they have been in this same location for 15 years! I had never met Nicci before that first cut and my hair was grown out and a mess, and I am not a good "talker" but he knew. Then, months later, it became inevitable that my hair was not going to be straight anymore due to the moist climate. He helped me make peace with my curls and taught me about frizz control so it is no longer something I need to think about. The music is always awesome--but varied. So forget how wonderful Nicci and Danny are--the view from the chair is breathtaking!!!! A vacation in itself. Highly Recommend this place!

I was…read moreapprehensive about going in during COVID-19 but I was very impressed with the care and precautions taken. I felt completely safe and protected. What really blew me away was that, as a first time client, she gave me an amazing cut for my naturally curly hair, and the color/highlights are the most natural I've ever had! Normally it takes a stylist 3 or 4 times to get the cut and color just the way I like it, but Feryl not only did this on the first appointment but she did it BETTER than any stylist I've ever seen. I'm grateful to my friend who referred me to her, and now Feryl has to be my stylist forever!

I know I wasn't looking my best, but I certainly looked like many of the ladies here in Bellingham in my leggings and oversized sweatshirt, hair up in a clip. As soon as I walked in, one lady sitting down just ignored me, and the other doing hair looked me up and down before asking if she could help me. Then after asking me when I was available the one sitting down went to her appointment book, flipped through a couple pages, then asked the other one to book me instead. The other one said she wasn't taking on any new clients. Even my daughter noticed how completely uninterested they were to give me an appointment. I have never been treated that way upon walking into a salon before. I can't even imagine what they would've done to my hair had I been successful in getting an appointment. So I said it seems like you are both too busy, no worries, and drove away in my Lexus. I highly recommended finding a better place to spend your money ladies, this place is way too full of themselves.

I was nervous coming to Plum because my hair is sacred to me and few people are worthy of cutting it. Turns out I worried for nothing because Evie did a fantastic job with my long hair! She did a dry cut then washed my hair after - which meant my hair wasn't too short! I was so relieved and happy when I looked in the mirror at the end of my cut. Few day-to-day things are more shocking, disappointing and devastating than getting a terrible haircut so I would definitely recommend heading over to Plum and getting your hair did by Evie! I took off a star because there was someone else's hair on the floor when I got into the seat. Not a huge deal but definitely a little off-putting. PS She also has a really simple system to book online which I really appreciate as it's often difficult to connect with stylists on the phone:)

I'm naturally brunette but have been going blonde for awhile now. Carina makes me look like a natural blondie. She gets my color right every time. My blonde roots and highlights blend perfectly together. I've never had a problem or concern with my hair since going to Carina. She's also dyed my hair darker and given me red highlights before. She's excellent at haircuts and styling as well. My mom goes to her too, and hasn't gone to anyone else since. My hair was a mess before Carina! I now have beautiful, long, thick, golden, blonde locks. I could seriously go on and on. She's skilled. In addition, her new salon is lovely. The space is very open and relaxing. She is so open to feedback as she cuts or feel free to say "a little shorter please". I have wavy/soft curly hair and she knows how to cut it so it looks great in curls or straight. She is funny and a great listener but isn't too chatty if that is not your thing. Prices are very reasonable and I always leave so happy! UPDATE 3/20/2015: Sadly, Vanessa is no longer in the Bham area. I have started seeing Mikaela and she is terrific. A true expert and professional at hair care. She is delightful and fun while being dynamite with the shears. Mikaela is 5 stars!
