Truth be told, Northside Houston Handyman has done satisfactory work and would gladly rehire again,…read morehowever, responsiveness lately has been absent entirely. I get life happens, but I had relied on the services offered by this company and had made considerable purchases and now can't even get a timely response back and find it difficult to make further plans as a result. I had closet shelving that had fallen and I needed it fixed asap. I spoke with Joe and even though he was pretty booked up he was going to try to come by and see what he could do. We scheduled a time but due to another job he had that he couldn't get away from called me in advance to let me know we'd have to reschedule. I had to go with someone else since I needed it done asap but I appreciated the phone call nonetheless. He even followed up a few days later to see if I still needed the job done since he hadn't heard back from me. Definitely keeping his number saved in the event I need his services in the future.

The first technician who came out was great to talk to, but when they returned two days later,…read moreeverything they had overcharged me for was done incorrectly. Initially, the technician quoted me $340 for a new airline for the dishwasher. I questioned whether simply cleaning the drain line would solve the issue, but he insisted that a new airline was necessary and that was the cost to fix it. However, when the technician returned, all he did was clean the drain line and then claimed that the price was the same whether they replaced the airline or just cleaned it-- which is completely absurd. Additionally, I asked to replace my sink with the same model we currently had, and the technician assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Yet, the replacement they installed was not the same sink we had shown them. When I originally booked the appointment, the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and pleasant. However, when I needed support, I could only get in touch with the technician instead. Fortunately, they did fix my toilet, but at a steep cost of $250-- the least they could do considering everything else. I've learned my lesson to shop around before hiring a plumbing service. I will make sure to warn others never to use AL Rooter Plumbing, as they are by far the worst company I've ever dealt with
