They must have changed management. The owner is awful and lacks compassion, tact and empathy. Do not take your senior dog there. I have been taking my dog to this groomer for over a decade. They've always been really great and patient with my pup. That changed today. I dropped off my dog at 9 am for his groom and received a very rude, unpleasant and unprofessional call from the owner. While I understood her concerns (my dog's hot spot was bleeding), I assured her that my vet had given me medication for it and that he was and would be fine. She proceeded to say that I needed to pray for my dog to be fine after his grooming because she won't be liable if he was to die(my dog is 17 years old). That sentence didn't sit well with me and I found it to be very insensitive. No one wants to hear such things especially when they are driving. The groom itself isn't good, you can tell they didn't even want to do it or made an effort. His ears were still very dirty, his "beard" was cut uneven. They basically just shaved his coat off. After all these years, needless to say I was very disappointed. When I picked him up he was fine but they decided to add $40 up charge because they claimed 2 people helped getting him groomed; they always have 2 people help out; this isn't new. 2 people and he looked like I groomed him myself. After 10+++ years you have lost a faithful customer. I will never be back. If you have a senior dog, I encourage you to look for an alternative when getting your dog groomed. The owner was not compassionate or empathetic at all. read more

Everyone was very friendly and caring for all the dogs to be groomed. They are not in crates which is a plus! Stephanie was very thorough with Buddy who was matted. He was very handsome after the groom. read more

This is the second time I take my dog to this place. First time I didn't really have any complaints. This time, my husband brings our dog home with a terrible cut in her back! He said that the groomer had a hard time with my dog because she was "moving so much". Never in our 8 years owning her have I ever had a comment about her moving too much and aren't they supposed to restrain them while they are cutting? I am very disappointed, oh and they didn't give us any discount or anything after the fact. We won't be taking her to this place anymore. read more

Upon arrival with my two furbabies the staff was very welcoming and you can just see the love for what they do and really cared that they met my expectations since that was my first visit. The experience was so great we went back again and now this will be our home groomer. I have a Maltese and Mini Schnauzer. A great sign was that my Maltese wasn't running for the door lol read more

We have two Maltese dogs. I called to arrange bath and trim for both. I took one in , sat her on the counter and this woman looked down her nose at her, waved her hand like a Hollywood hair dresser and said NO ! That dog is full of mats. ( and she's not) so I said ok, picked her up and walked out. Didn't even bring the other one inside. I've never seen such an egotistical condescending dog groomer in my many years. NO ONE looks down their nose at my dog. read more

Wonderful people who love what they do! George has never looked better! Our dog George loves going here to be groomed. He goes once a month and their prices are very reasonable. The groomer always asks how I want his hair cut and asks me if I have any other concerns. Jenn the front desk technician is very helpful and always calls and reminds me of George's appointment. She is very accommodating when I have changes in my schedule. read more

We had always dropped our dog off at the petsmart down the road to get washed, but decided to give this place a try after passing by it many times. After picking our dog up, my only complaint is that we didn't try this place earlier! The manager/woman behind the counter/owner could not be more friendly each time you walk in. She remembers us each time we walk our dog in and what treatment he generally receives. They also have a self-bathing area that you can use to wash your pet yourself if you wish. I would highly recommend this local business for anyone looking for a pet-salon in the Casselberry area. read more

My husband took my two corgis in the morning of 4/29 for a wash, dry and nail trim. When I made their appointment I stated no dremel. He called to say they had to add additional $15 de-furring charge. I agreed because they were already there. Little did I realize my mistake. Husband picked them up a few hours later. When I got home was shocked and saddened to see that they had shaved the rear of my one corgi, from her nub straight down very closely. It took me a week to be calm enough to call and my call was met with denial, that my dog had chewed all of her fur off, that she had rubbed it off, all of this while at their location?? No. No. There was an unpleasant offer to make it 'up to me', and I said we would not be back. I hung up on the rudely yelling manager. It will take months and months and longer for my girls 'pants' to grow back. Shaving corgis is unacceptable. Stay away from this wretched place. read more

My vet recommended Shear Magic to groom my cat to remove hair mats which were making her "backside" uncomfortable. So, they were able to take me immediately and after getting her ready to be groomed, it was discovered that she may have more than just a mat, and it may be a serious condition. My vet was already closed, a vet I had taken pets to in the past had an office person who was rude and refused to let the vet look at her, so the owner of Shear Magic called a vet she uses and he would wait for us, even though he had just closed. All turned out OK, but I just want to give a shout out to these very caring, lovely ladies, who obviously care about your fur baby. read more

When I rescued my dog, they said he was abandoned at the groomers (petsmart), so I wanted to find a place where he felt comfortable. This location has been wonderful and my dog is always excited to be dropped off and picked up. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable for groomers - maybe a few dollars more than petsmart but definitely worth it. I noticed they also let the dogs play together after they finished their groom, so it was a nice surprise to see my dog in the window of the store playing with other dogs (not locked in a crate). read more

Worst groomer I ever went to ! They scalped my poodle completely, no hair on his ears or top knot ,he looked like a mutt when I left. I said summer cut but wow really guys ? And then to add insult it cost me $70.00. If he looked like a poodle I wouldn't have minded but I could have scalped him myself for free. Thank God his hair will grow back..... read more

My King Charles Cavalier Spaniel was cut at Shear Magic/Village Groomer. It is a gash about 1 1/2 inches long and a day later (when I found it) it is still open and wet. I found it while brushing him, causing him even further pain. I understand that accidents happen, but they did not even tell me so I could be treating it. Even worse, after requesting a refund and waiting in the shop for 30 minutes, I was told the owner would have to see the dog before she would consider it. This is a very unprofessional business. read more

I won't be back. The reason I gave it an extra star is because the grooming part was good. But I brought my 3 dogs (2 to be groomed and one washed) at 8:30 am and by 2:00 I called them and was told my boxer took a long time to dry but the other 2 were done so I could head that way. When I walked in the door jingled so I stood there waiting to be waited on. There were 2 groomers discussing another groomer and how awful she was using the f word and other curse words. Then making fun of what a customer wanted. Her voice was escalated so then she says to the dog agitatedly what is wrong with you why are acting to nervous (probably bc of their conversation). Finally I said umm is anyone going to wait on me and the girl said oh we didn't hear you come in and was all nice. Very unprofessional. Also I think a groomer should ask for proof of shots. read more

My dogs have gone to Shear Magic in Casselberry, and I was delighted to see they bought this facility closer to my home, with added doggie daycare and boarding. I can't say enough good things about these Master Groomers. Your pets will be well cared for here! read more

After reading so many bad reviews here I was Hesitant but they have been nothing but amazing to my dog and I, I actually had a horrible experience with the other groomer in the area who is rated #1. So far no issues read more

I went here because it was close to home and read some good reviews. My RAGDOLL kitty looks horrible. I didn't realize how short they would be taking it and at petsmart they blended the fur so it wasn't just all short in one area. But it's so short that there's no fixing it. I even had to cut some of his mane to try to make it look ok. Luckily it is on his belly so when he's standing its ok but I won't be going back. I have two stars because the lady was very nice and he smelled great and the bath was good. Unfortunatly I didn't look until I was home. He will just have to grow it back in. read more

Shear Magic Pet Grooming - Not impressed with his shave - Pet Groomers Near Me - Casselberry, Florida

I took my dog into the Castleberry location this past Saturday. When I got home I noticed blood on the floor of my kitchen and in the carpet. They had cut into the quick of the nail and it was bleeding on my floor. No telling how long it was bleeding. This was on a Saturday afternoon when they were already closed so I could not even have them look at it to fix it over the weekend. When I called back today to explain what happened and ask why no one told me about it...they said if we would have noticed it we would have told you sorry about that...and then I asked is there anything else you would like to do or say besides sorry to make it right? she said nope sorry is it... So now I will have to pay to have the blood in my carpet cleaned. Most expensive grooming I will ever have paid for. And by the way there was no offer of a credit or discount on future services. This quite possibly could be the worst customer service experience I have ever had! read more

I have been taking my toy Yorkie here for 4 years. With a prior bad experience at another groomer I was very picky. Once I saw how my puppy was and how he looked I couldn't be happier. The owner and staff always treats my babies( now I have 2) as their own. Even when I call at last minute Dorien always has time for them. Thank you shear magic a place I can take my pups and feel at ease. read more

I am a very VERY upset customer. I brought my yorkie here for a little puppy cut and when I picked her up I asked how she was, because I know she gets really nervous. The girl told me she did great and that if anything was wrong she would tell me - It's policy. I brought her home and noticed a cut on her belly - No one had told me about this and I was pretty upset but she could have cut herself with her newly cut nails so I didnt think anything of it. The next day my dog was acting a little funny - licking herself to where she was all red - I figured she was just itchy from the new cut but then she continued doing this - I called my vet and they said it sounds like clipper burn - and we should bring her in to make sure theres no infection. They also said to call the groomer and let them know about the issue. We called and spoke to a very very rude "lady" who said she was the owner... She said the dog was not cut and that she had told us about the clipper burn and to put cream on it. MY DOG IS LIKE MY CHILD, IF SHE TOLD ME THERE WAS AN ISSUE I WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT. I told her that wasn't true and that now I have to take her to the vet. She said I don't have to take her to the vet...Then she told me she got cut because she was wiggling around so much..understandable, but she had just said she didn't get cut. either way I should have been told about any issue. I was called a low life who only cared about money and not my dog. I was told to never call them again, I was yelled at and hung up on. All because she didn't advise her customer there was an issue. Words can't describe how unhappy and unsatisfied I am. never again read more
