We walked into ruff cuts and Buttercup was happily exploring and walking around while I talked to the groomer. Less than 2 hours later I get the call that she is ready and I picked her up. This is easily the best hair cut my dog has ever had and she's in a good mood to boot! The pricing is actually very reasonable. For a cavalier mix it was only $49 which is VERY competitive with the larger pet chains. Of course according to their website, grooming prices vary by breed so make sure to ask. I'll happily pay that for the quality of service we got today. We will definitely be returning for all of my dogs grooming needs!

I spoke to Nichole and she was kind, and very helpful. I was super nervous because it was my shipoo's first time going to them but she helped to ease my nerves. When I dropped her off she was shivering but Nichole took her and hugged her to try and soothe her. When I returned my dog was happy, beautiful and smelling great! But this time we got a call that he had been nicked during the cut. When we went to pick him up they said they had cleaned the "cut" and that he had no reaction. Later today the gauze game off and we noticed he was missing about an inch of skin. The so called nick is raw skin on his leg that will take days to heal and needs to be properly covered to avoid infection. My, like many others is nervous at sound of fireworks and smell of smoke. The pooches actually felt like they were at home whether playing in the backyard or sitting next to one of the owners on the floor while doing video conferencing for work. They felt just like home. I always am concerned about health and safety of the dogs when they're away but they came home just as happy and well balanced as when I drop them off. They use Facebook quite a bit which I'm not a Facebook person but they posted regular pictures so we could see what they were doing at any time of day. Their business is monitored by security cameras so I felt pretty safe that they could see what was going on in and around the property. If I can describe it in one word it's kind of like a home away from home. I would recommend.

As a result, when I moved to Manchester I was understandably concerned about finding a new groomer for him. He's only had positive experiences getting groomed and it is important to me that it stays that way, it feels like a miracle to have a dog that doesn't have anxiety about the vet, the groomer or even being boarded! Because of that I didn't want to go to the local petco because the Yelp reviews seem to indicate that a lot of the dogs who go there end up with groomer anxiety afterwards. So even though most of my neighbors go to petco I decided to look for a small local business because in my experience they tend to be more careful with their clients. I ultimately decided to go with Shampoodles LLC (1) because of the Yelp reviews and (2) because the owner has 15yrs of experience as a groomer and a dog trainer. I am so glad that I chose Shampoodles. The lobby is clean and pleasant and the groomer Samantha was ready for Blue the minute we walked in the door. I appreciate how careful they are with their scheduling, she greeted us by name without me even introducing us. Samantha took the time to gain clarity about what I wanted, and she asked lots of questions about his previous experiences being groomed and what his needs were. I felt very comfortable leaving Blue there. She told me that he would be ready in two hours and he was ready to go after an hour and 45 minutes. As another yelper mentioned they don't seem to crate the dogs who get along with other animals and I appreciated that because Blue is very social. When I picked him up not only did he look amazing (she followed my instructions to a "T"), but he smelled great and seemed incredibly happy. To top it all off, their prices are so affordable! Overall my first experience with Shampoodles was excellent and I will absolutely be going back and using Samantha again.
