If you cannot get back to potential customers' inquiries, then get out of yelp. We have had our dog groomed by groomers all over the USA(including NYC, LA, Seattle, Houston, Miami & others) and Canada, but never had a "no response" from a request thru yelp of a groomer that was supposedly highly rated. If we make the time to inquire via their yelp listing, the least they can do is respond. Already found another much more "responsive" groomer, and this type of provider behavior in here is a major red flag for us. So if you are looking for a groomer in here, don't waste your time on this one like we did.

As a result, when I moved to Manchester I was understandably concerned about finding a new groomer for him. He's only had positive experiences getting groomed and it is important to me that it stays that way, it feels like a miracle to have a dog that doesn't have anxiety about the vet, the groomer or even being boarded! Because of that I didn't want to go to the local petco because the Yelp reviews seem to indicate that a lot of the dogs who go there end up with groomer anxiety afterwards. So even though most of my neighbors go to petco I decided to look for a small local business because in my experience they tend to be more careful with their clients. I ultimately decided to go with Shampoodles LLC (1) because of the Yelp reviews and (2) because the owner has 15yrs of experience as a groomer and a dog trainer. I am so glad that I chose Shampoodles. The lobby is clean and pleasant and the groomer Samantha was ready for Blue the minute we walked in the door. I appreciate how careful they are with their scheduling, she greeted us by name without me even introducing us. Samantha took the time to gain clarity about what I wanted, and she asked lots of questions about his previous experiences being groomed and what his needs were. I felt very comfortable leaving Blue there. She told me that he would be ready in two hours and he was ready to go after an hour and 45 minutes. As another yelper mentioned they don't seem to crate the dogs who get along with other animals and I appreciated that because Blue is very social. When I picked him up not only did he look amazing (she followed my instructions to a "T"), but he smelled great and seemed incredibly happy. To top it all off, their prices are so affordable! Overall my first experience with Shampoodles was excellent and I will absolutely be going back and using Samantha again.

The two ladies that run the place are as nice as can be. I work from home so it's great to be able to drop him off and pick him up in about an hour. Harley comes back to me fresh, clean and with a cute bandana depending on the season. They are always really busy so it is best to book several appointments in a row. Note that they only accept cash or check and they write all their appointment down long hand. It might be old school but there is nothing old school about the care and attention that they give to Harley. I highly recommend!

I've since moved south of hartford and unfortunately it is too far out of the way for daycare purposes, but we still board our dogs there and they always have a great time. The groomers are also always able to fit them both in for baths when they are boarding which is super appreciated.
