What a nice comfortable and friendly simple place. Reasonable and fast. I was happy with my hair cut, colour and threading. I would go again. read more

I went once she was amazing. She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it done and I must've said some good things cause I've never been able to get in since she's always busy. read more

I had a Groupon to get partial highlights done because I just wanted to brighten the highlights I already had in my hair. The stylist told me she'd have to charge me an extra $50 in order to upgrade me to full highlights. I was able to upgrade my Groupon from partial to full highlights during my visit and showed her my Groupon upon checking out. She proceeded to still charge me an extra $40 (instead of the $50) even after I purchased the full highlight Groupon. Furthermore, I got home and looked through the job she had done and it was absolutely horrible! The highlights were all over the place and not blended AT ALL and the highlighted strands were all different colors. I called a couple of hours later and asked if I could get the money I paid returned and she refused. Finally, she said she would return the money but then proceeded to call back right away and said she would only return half. I paid $175 with the Groupon cost, the extra $40, plus tip and was only refunded $57. I basically paid the same amount as I would have WITHOUT the Groupon. My hair looks terrible and I will have to spend double what I paid in order to get it fixed. I have never been so unhappy with a salon experience. read more

Remember her name. TERRY, She is a part owner, The salon is small, unpretentious, easy parking. I had a great haircut, fabulous highlights, and a super style, in record breaking time. She is extremely professional, fast, but cares and LISTENS to what you want. Defiantly recommend this salon, she is a winner. read more

I got a groupon for lash extensions and couldn't be happier, Reya( I apologize if I got it wrong) did an amazing job, I fell asleep while she did her workI spent 8 days in Hawaii being in the water at least 4 hours a day and probably lost 4-5 lashes. Will definitely go back if I decide to continue getting lash extensions. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the salon itself doesn't have the fancy elements of many others. read more

Absolutely love this place. I received a groupon for this place. I hadn't had anyone touch my hair in 5 (yes FIVE) years. I was nervous and even told the stylist that I have never been to he same stylist more than once; I was never happy. I'm absolutely in LOVE with my hair. I get constant compliments on it too. I will definitely be back that. They are my new go to place for sure!!! read more

Omg! First hair review ever but I couldn't resist...what a gem of a salon! I can't say enough great things about Sheer Essence, and the stylist that performed hair magic! My service from Raya, included highlights, a cut, and a touch up on roots. All of it was perfect!!!!! And I'm one picky momma. The highlight of my experience...was the highlights, they were absolutely PERFECT....colour was natural but exactly what I asked for!!!!! Kind of a subtle Ombré. How often does that happen!?? Raya was also able to cut my hair perfectly and we made a long term plan to grow out some old nasty layers. I can't recommend enough. read more

Not friendly to groupon customers and frankly will make you feel bad you used a coupon to get a hair cut. They are not accommodating and would rather you get a refund on your groupon. I will not be going back for sure! read more

Absolutely amazing. I went in with ugly black box dye and left with a gorgeous golden brown. The stylists are so friendly and make the experience 10x better. If you are looking for a salon, this is the one to go to. read more

I am here right now sitting under the dryer and I love this place. The staff are so friendly and I feel right at home. The location is convenient as it's right in the middle of the city. And I hear they will soon move into an even nicer spot in the same area! How exciting!!! I will definitely be back! read more

Worst experience ever! I had gone there once before and it was decent and I had been trying to get another appointment and I have been calling for a week and messaging on fb and no response! Finally I get a hold of them and they say they have no availabilities which they had told me the day before Via fb! Part of a business is managing phone calls and messages NOT saying oh we are tooo busy! On top of accommodating me they said oh just refund your Groupon! I don't live here so I can't change my flight to come into the salon !!! A good business would have accommodated me because of their fault and the fact I am out of town and in town people can prob more flexible! Seemed like a bunch of amateurs running a home open thing read more

Zero stars!! If I can prevent save a anyone from going here and getting a butchered hair cut like mine...I went here about about a week ago on a groupon hair cut, I got Terry as my hairstylist. I showed her the awesome hair cut from Pintrest, and talked to her about my hair and what I wanted. She did the opposite. Its bad, really bad, I went home and cried. Every time I take a shower or look in the mirror I cry. I asked for shoulder length hair, its way past my ears, the layers are cut the opposite of what they should be, almost angled like a triangle in some places (lol only way to describe it) there is so many pieces of hair she missed when butchering my hair. My coworkers the next day were like OMG what happened to your hair, I had a meeting with clients and felt so self conscience. I went to another salon, they can't fix it, said it was one of the worst hair cuts they have seen in years, they did try to fix some of the layers, but said to come back in a month to see what more they can do, they said I have over a year of growing it out to fix the layers and some of the length, Yes ladies, its that bad. Also I agree about the other review about the lashes, I am talking about the "esthetician", they lady who does it is not a certified esthetician, do not go! there was a lady that walked out while I was there, had her eyebrows waxed, one eyebrow was smaller then the other (very obvious), while the other one didn't have the arch, and made her looked really bad. I was shocked. I am sure the poor lady went home and did the same thing I did and cried. Anyways, don't do it! Even if its a good price! Just don't!!!! UPDATE: 09/29/2017, so I decided to login to my Yelp account and found a threatening message from the owner Raya (I can send you a screen shot of the message for proof) lets see, here are some of the insults I received about my review above. Please note the above review is factual and honest - From Raya: Your such a fu*kn mean person that has nothing better to do than sit on ur fat ass, Did u ever stop to think that maybe your the zero star human? - after I told her I am putting this on social media: Are u threatening Ms.Becca ? What a sad sad human something u are !! Please go ahead and do what you need to do to fill that void that your lonely sad life. - anyways, I am reporting this business to BBB, Groupon, and the media , and I am considering legal action- NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO HERE, IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS. To be denigrate like this is so unprofessional, and for me to have it all record - is just plain stupid of her to have done it over messaging. Please ladies, like I have said before, don't go here, they are not qualified - do you really want to get a butchered hair cut and go home and cry? Think about that.... read more

PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR LASHES DONE HERE. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I got eyelash extensions done here on a Groupon and cannot believe how poorly they were done. It was a good deal on Groupon and I couldn't find many reviews, only a few 5 star reviews on Facebook that turned out to be so incorrect. They were able to fit me in readily, but that was the only good thing. Although the eyelashes looked decent, the extensions were glued to my eyelid rather than directly onto the existing lashes themselves and as a result have a good deal of pulling the skin with any movement of the lashes. I am not sure what type of adhesive was used but it was very irritating to my eyes. Once I left, I immediately made plans to remove the lashes as I certainly did not want something glued to my skin. Home remedies of oil cleansers and steaming/olive oil did not work so I went to a legitimate eyelash extension place to PAY for removal. However, despite trying two removers the glue would not dissolve and the girls at the store stated they had never seen this type of adhesive used and even questioned if it was eyelash adhesive. Now I am stuck with eyelash extensions glued to my lids, hoping they won't take too long to fall out. I am so so disappointed and even angry that a salon could perform a procedure so incorrectly and harmfully and would caution EVERYONE not to go here until they are able to sort out their method of doing extensions. read more

I had my eyelashes done here and she did great! I would definitely go back for a fill. The lady who did them took a bit of warming up to but she will do a quality job and not leave you unsatisfied. After reading the previous review I was afraid for my upcoming appointment but nothing has ever been more wrong to me. read more

do not go here, i had to cancel my appointment last minute for a family emergency and i was looking to book another appointment, the lady "helping me" was extremely rude and impolite and told me that because of the last minute cancellation they wouldn't accept my groupon anymore and they would not rescheduled my appointment, there goes 90$ down the drain read more
