I am extremely disappointed by my most recent visit here. I bought a groupon for a gel manicure (as I have in the past) and nothing stopped me buy buying it. As I am in the middle of getting my nails done I mention that I have the groupon and the nail tech Chanel and she informs me that I cannot use that groupon since I bought one and used it in the past....Are you kidding me? You are in the middle of doing my nails!! For quality customer service I would have expected her to say something along the lines of "I can except it this time but for next time..." I would have been fine with that. If I am not allowed to use the groupon then why was it available for purchase again? That is the companies problem and not mine. read more

Everyone greets you with a smile and the music is awesome! My stylist Stella was an absolute doll & assured me that the cut and style I wanted would look good on me. Great place! I've gone to Ann Marie twice now and she's done a great job. I am extremely anal about who touches my hair, so I will do weeks of research to find the right person. I've debated leaving a review for a long time. I came here a few months ago, granted my hair was a mess, and they did an okay job, but before she started doing my hair she informed me it would be more than what I booked for and gave me an exact price, my husband and I said okay, she did my hair, which included bleaching it & did not tone it (my hair was quite orange) and somehow the end price was $200 MORE than the price she told me AFTER seeing my hair and consulting me with what we were doing. Shady business, be upfront-that's all. I'm aware hair is expensive& had she told me the price from the beginning I would not have had a problem. Once my hair is done what am I supposed to do? AnnMarie has been working on my hair since my wedding about 2011 and she has been a God send. I was never able to find a stylist I could communicate with or trust their judgement but with AnnMarie I completely trust her. She has done several smoothing treatments to my hair over the years and the results are amazing it has actually helped my hair grow longer than I could ever get it on my own. I've gotten my hair colored a few times and have never been disappointed. She can work on all different types of hair textures as she works on my mother's and sisters hair as well. I went once to that place 4 years ago, the same day that I got preeclampsia and I have to go to the emergency room . I decide to call a few weeks ago and set up an appointment because I think is time for this mama to take care of herself after I took care of my premature son . When I called they didn't find my info cuz obviously was so long ago , even when you have a credit card and if you don't use it the bank close your account and if you want a new one you have to apply again. Anyway the point is when I got there I told the girl who supposed to do my hair about the Groupon and she explain that my Groupon was just for full highlights , hair cut and blow out and if I need extra staff is additional so I accepted without problem, she started brushing my hair and went to talk to the owner and she was nasty person , never approach to me , she started to scream from the place that she was so everybody hears what she said . She said that I can't use the Groupon cuz I have been over there and explain her when , how long ago and that time I didn't use Groupon , then she complained about with Groupon she gets just 50% " that is not my problem , if she doesn't like how much she gets so I think she shouldn't use them " and finally she said my hear is too long and until I know when you buy a Groupon they don't ask you the length of your hair for give you a price , after I paid $80 for the Groupon that includes full highlights , cut and blow out " that was a great deal" she wants me to give her $130 more , so I just didn't accept because of her nasty attitude and the way that she talked AT me. read more

I visited the Coram location. I was in search of a new salon for my highlights to be done (corrected from my last salon) I used a groupon and was pleasantly surprised by the salon and my results. My appointment was with Tara and she was wonderful. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted and was very pleased with the outcome. I did not find this salon to be unprofessional as described in previous reviews. Yes there were children there but I don't believe it affected my experience negatively. The owner Annmarie was very accommodating and allowed me customized my groupon to what I needed done. I look forward to returning for more services. To be perfectly honest my experience here was "weak" for many reasons. Firstly I had an appointment with Ann Marie because my friend referred me. I had a 1 pm appointment and Ann Marie was engaged in coloring and cutting what appeared to be her business partner. what happened to my 1pm service? she had an assistant vaseline my hairline and then mix a random color (never asked me my opinion) and then apply to my head. Ann marie had nothing at all to do with coloring my hair. I made the appointment with her. After the color procedure Ann marie cut my hair ( slight trim and blow out- decent but not a major cut any how. I was FURIOUS to see that the volume of vaseline did nothing to protect my hairline from staining and by the time I was finished I looked like I had grown side-burns. The whole experience was unprofessional- the owner walked around lazily and periodically put her toddler in his place (sweet kid) but I didn't feel like having this go on while I had my hair done. Totally an unprofessional place . As they say you get what you pay for. Now to beat my brow to get rid of the staining..so frustrated. This salon is reopening in Coram. Beware! read more
