This is one of the nicer Shaw's in Maine! But if you're in this specific area looking for grocery items, I think you'd go to Hannaford first, then Shaws, then - as a very last resort - Walmart. The prices are expensive. That's the Shaw's way. The parking lot is chaotic. That's the Roosevelt Trail way. Found it cleaner than other Shaws; they had healthy looking produce the last time I was here, an abundance of flowers and plants, a friendly staff, a very easy-to-use and spacious self checkout area, and some plant-based items I only ever seem to find at Shaw's (definitely check out their freezer section for a whole host of fun options). read more

Clean and and well stocked. We usually only come here when we are in the area and are stopping in a for snacks and drinks. Parking is ok - it's shared with a lot of other businesses and can be annoying since there aren't divider islands - people tend to cut across - so look both ways Always! The self check out are so easy and great when you just have a few items. Prices are never great...but if they have things in stock...it'll do for the convenience. read more

I'd like to love this store, it's the closest grocery store to my home. However......it's expensive; great specials, but if you don't get there early, they don't have what they've advertised; the layout is funky - tell me why you have to enter from one side of the parking lot and leave through the other; the bagged produce is pretty good (fruits, carrots, etc.) but the greens not so much - the asparagus is sourced from someplace that things the fatter the stalks are, the better. I go for the specials, but I leave irritated half the time. And the foolishness of having to clip coupons to get the deal.............too much. I need an aspirin just thinking about the place. On the positive side, the workers are pretty helpful, but you can tell they get frustrated "yeah, they didn't send enough of that", 'having trouble with the coupons tonight'.....it's clean...the parking lot is ok......people say the bakery is good (I cook a lot)....that's about it. read more

Large store with very little employees. I had some stale bakery I purchased at another Shaw's and wanted to return. Had my receipt and was told I didn't buy it at this location. Customer service was closed and said to go to a checkout. Then was sent back to customer service ?!?! There are plenty of grocery options in the area. I won't be back read more

They don't have baby changing stations in their bathrooms. I brought it to their attention at the service desk, but the teenager that was working didn't seem to care. They have been "renovating" this store for a while now, and should probably update the bathrooms also. The service departments are also never staffed during regular day hours and if you do see an employee, you don't even want to bother to ask for their assistance just based off their attitude. read more

An overall pretty nice store. The staff is nice, the store has a nice layout, (although it does look a little old fashioned compared to other locations) but the best part about this particular location is THEY STILL HAVE SELF CHECKOUT!!! Because of the plastic bag fee, only select shaws locations still have it, (which makes no sense to me since hannaford still has it at all locations) so overall, I would just like all of you to take a second to appreciate the fact that this particular location has that self checkout feature since some locations (like mine in south Portland), do not have this. Again this is shaws, they are not perfect by any means, but the fact that they still have this service really makes this store stick out in my opinion. read more

Pros: friendly staff, Cons: long line wait, stopped home delivery: offered home delivery for very short time, not long enough for trial run. Lots of seniors can't navigate the large store and home delivery was a great service. Have to go back to Hannaford. read more

Lapin and I came to this spacious grocery store to return some bottles. The bottle redemption center is very tiny and they had several people who had a gigantic bag waiting to use the machine. The store itself, was spacious, had generous sales and friendly staff. However, I purchase a few of Captain Eli's soda pop for $1.29 (plus tax and dep) only to find some of the varieties have expired more than 2 months ago. For a display that is at the end of aisle and front and center, one would expect fresh products. read more

I really want to like Shaws and I still shop there BUT the lines are way to long. Sometimes only two registers open. Almost never anyone at the ten items or less, and when another registers opens they take the people behind you that just got line. On more than one occasion we have got outdated goods where the sour crème is. It seems to me that the associates at the deli are in no hurry to serve you. Produce, meat is very fresh. They just have to get more help and improve on check out time. read more

This is a very nice Shaw's supermarket. The parking lot isn't too difficult to maneuver in, the aisles are wide, the prices are decent, and the store is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the stock is well-kept. read more

Yesterday I was helped by the customer service manager Deb, she went above and beyond to help me she unloaded my cart and she then went around to ring my order in, I have been a shopper here for years and have never been treated so well, she is a true assett to this company. read more
