The part that has made me return a few times since is that getting the same items it typically leads to be a cheaper total price. With the outrageous prices of just about everything nowadays you need to utilize any way to save some money. Which coming few extra minutes out of the way I think it is 100% worth coming here for what I feel like is cheaper prices. The only knock I will mention is the pain with all Hannaford locations in general is they don't have a consistent layout of any of their stores. Which leads to some wondering around to find certain items since who knows where the beans are or where they decided to put the frozen section. Other than that I have appreciated the staff here with no complaints and the fact our total price appears to be cheaper like I said!

I had 4 in the week that I visited at different locations. Five months later, I still smile when I think about it. I also picked up some really good clam chowder and fresh blueberries while I was there. I enjoyed looking at the selection of local made jams and jellies. Knowing that I couldn't take them on the flight. I brought some to my nephew's house. I also found great snack and dog toys to take home for my fur babies. The staff were friendly with helping me find items and getting the store discount. I definitely will be back next summer. There was plenty of parking when I was there and I was able to check out rather quickly.

Such great quality food too. Just wish there was a Trader Joe's in central Maine. Begging you! Please! Augusta area desperately needs one! There is only one tiny health food store in the entire area. They have a weird selection of store brands from other stores, small produce selection, pre-cut deli, and lots of baked goods, chips, vacation snacks and more. They have a good beer selection and the UFO next door has even more beer. They also have an entire aisle dedicated to Naples clothing where we got t-shirts for the kids and sweatshirts. The clothing is cheaper than buying it at one of the gift shops down on the causeway. The negatives are that the parking lot gets very crowded on Saturdays in the summer and it can be tough to park a big truck in there. The check out lines can also get long especially on the far side of the store where they sell the cigarettes. Avoid that line if you can!

HINT: Be sure to bring a quarter with you to get a carriage and don't forget your reusable bags! The store was clean and well stocked, easy to navigate. Produce: I have a small garden and get my produce from a local farm so I am picky - the produce here was not great, but there were some deals. I got some super fresh and plumb green grapes for $1.29/lb and fresh parsley for $1. Honestly, if you are picky about produce like I am, you will not be impressed at all. Dairy/Cheese/Deli: I got several types of cheese that were a great price and very good (we love a good snacking platter at our house). We also enjoyed trying several of the dips they have - HIGHLY SUGGEST the crab rangoon dip. Pantry Items: Things we loved were the store version of Lara Bars and Kind Bars. We use a lot of bars so this was a great savings and they were very good! Other items I loved - the carton coconut milk, coffee creamer and a really nice clear storage bin with bamboo lid ($6!) that will hold all the snack bars and protein bars at home. Overall - would this be my main grocery spot? No, but I would make the trip for the cheese, dips, dairy items and some pantry stuff.

When I first walked in I was immediately impressed with how big it is and how much space there is in the aisles, so it's definitely not tight like Whole Foods is. As soon as you enter on the left they have really good looking refrigerated pizzas that you would just pop in the oven. They also had a good selection of health drinks such as kombucha, coconut Waters, etc. I noticed tI noticed the Aldi brand had a dubai chocolate creamer that was actually organic which was really surprising to me. In fact one of the two things I bought was marinated chicken on skewers. My husband grilled them and they were very yummy. I didn't look too much into the freezer section, but I did notice they had Johnny pops for a decent price, which are frozen popsicles that are typically quite expensive. They're ice cream. Selection was also unique and interesting. The second item I bought was organic raspberries. I'm very familiar with Aldi in Europe and its very much the same here. You pay a quarter to get a cart, which I did not do. You are expected to bring your own bags and bag your groceries yourself. There's also lots of space for you to properly pack your groceries, if you need to, after you've checked out. Myself adding Aldi to my grocery store rotation. It's the type of place I would go to pick up. Something very easy for you to cook for dinner. Like the pizzas, salad kits, chicken skewers to grill, etc.

I appreciate they offer this service because there are very few places around that offer helium. Yesterday I had two large number (1 & 7) balloons blown up for my daughters 17 birthday, and I was a little nervous because If there the numbers popped, I had no backup plan for getting new ones now that the party store in Portland has closed. The beautiful balloons were purchased at a cute shop in Damariscotta. The manager at the Hannaford was so nice, careful, and helpful. Great experience

It's also well stocked and clean, and the staff seems friendly. There are a few issues, like certain items are kind of tucked away in weird spots - the pasta and pasta sauces take up half a liquor/wine aisle, and the bread is hidden in the same aisle as paper products. But I really like this location. I also want to write about the sushi, however. I liked the old sushi provider Hannaford used, Bento Sushi quite a bit. It was good quality, there was a large, interesting selection at the larger stores, and it tasted good. The new provider, Snowfox, I don't like nearly as much. The pieces are not well put together, the prices are higher, there's less variety. Most? of the california rolls are filled with seafood salad instead of crab stick and the fish in the tuna rolls is shredded up weirdly for some reason.
