Either these are rotten or there's a new breed of apple I never heard about
Mahoraner N.

Where do I begin... let's start with the nasty produce. Oranges that are green, Granny Smith apples covered in red, avacados that are as squishy as play doh, and even peppers that I literally saw come out of the box a few minutes before, with MOLD on them. And when you're not getting food poisoning from the produce, you'll find your food being thrown around by the cashier/baggers. I have come here a few times, and most times the cashier/baggers are friendly. Not over the top, but basic respect. However, the attitude of the bagger on my last trip left me to write this review. He put two jugs of juice and three GLASS jars of sauce in the same bag, and didn't even double bag and Put cleaner in the same bag as food, and didn't even bother putting my case of water more than halfway on the bottom of the cart (I had to push it in) He was young so I cut him some slack on the bagging. But when I asked him nicely to make the bags lighter he just rolled his eyes. And at then end when I was saying "have a great day", he scoffs our a "yeah whatever". Moral of the story is, if you want produce that won't give you food poisoning, try Brothers marketplace, it's more expensive but it's a whole lot better than MOLD and ROT. And secondly, if you still choose to go to this Shaw's, expect average to bad service.

This market is depressing. Dark, dreary, and uninspired. I avoid it whenever possible.

Everything went really really well. Well they had all the products I was looking for that night on…read morethe grocery list they had gone up for a specialist. They had eggs were $.99 a dozen and they had more than enough enough to service their customers. We picked up a few other things that I had wanted that were on sale. The only thing that went wrong was I didn't guys get home that the young fellow had taken and not only charged me for one of the items twice twice, but he also charged me too much money for another item. So I immediately called back to the store cause I was 30 minutes from the store. I called back to the store and talk to the customer service lady. She looked it up. She ended up working it out with me on the phone where she's going to take and leave me the money on the counter. I can come by and pick it up anytime. So basically it was a very good experience. It was a 90 out of 100.

Stopped in to grab some ground pork from the butcher and was very disappointed by the customer…read moreservice and absolutely disgusted by the cleanliness of the meat department. I approached the counter to ask where to find the pork, stood there for several minutes while the butcher mopped and ignored me, despite looking up. Finally went to check the cooler and found an in-store shopper to ask, she brought me to where it should be but there was none, I followed her back to the counter where the butcher was quick to come to her service, and she placed an order with him rather than trying to continue to help me. The butcher went from mopping to grabbing fresh ground beef out of the case with the same gloves he was mopping, and packing it up. In the process of weighing the meet he was also flinging into the floor of the shoppers side of the butcher counter. not impressed, and definitely would not buy fresh packed meats from this store.

It's Walmart…read more Horrific clientele, dirty store, ridiculous lines, and crappy products. I will say I needed an item quickly and they did have it in stock. The box it came in was crushed, but the item still worked. So I would say that's a plus. Try to avoid Walmart if you can. Thanks

First of all, as a disabled combat veteran and senior citizen as well as a self proclaimed Walmart…read more"Queen"-y'know since I am a recurring customer-I was quite taken aback at the negativity, vehemence andthe lack of CS skills of two employees that I was subjected to. First, let me state that this is my 3rd time at this store in about four years.  My previous visits went well.   Customer service, employee interactions, product selections, and availability were very good.  My experience, this time, was marred significantly by two employees when I sought to check out. Asset employee Jeffrey Porter-he very belligerently gave me his name--was very hostile and kept interjecting negative comments while I was speaking to another employee who was called over in reference to the 15 item limit policy  There was only one cashier on duty at the time at register 5. She was checking out a large order. Additionally, he stated he was "The Enforcer"of store policy. Stated that there was a lot of theft at this store. With all that that implies, it was obvious he believed i was stealing. Otherwise, why bring up theft when im inquiring about policy? And that the manager was not available. When I asked for a number and Store Mgr name, I was told that didn't matter.  This occurred at approximately 8 am. The second employee was a grey haired grandmotherly type and also was rude.  The 3rd employee i interacted with was trying to explain the 15 item limit policy in between comments and interjections from Jeffrey Porter.  However, she did manage to understand that i understood the time of day and staffing of cashiers in the morning and that my issue was the poor customer service I was experiencing from the two employees.  She also stated I would get the store managers name and phone number i could call from the receipt.  The managers name was, "TBD." So. I am going to call the number and see if I can get a name later this morning. I urge all seniors/veterans to avoid this location until such a time as these employees can receive training/retraining or counseling for the PTSD they are obviously suffering from due to to the "thefts" they told me about  in addition to having a manager named TBD.

Aldi gets high marks on value but low marks on overall experience. This is a convenient location…read morenear 95 which makes it easy for me to get to. It's also just a short drive to Trader Joe's in Foxboro where I generally prefer to do most of my shopping. Major deals here on staple items like milk, flour, sugar and butter. I am planning to bake this weekend so this was a good spot to get the essentials. They also have an excellent selection of nice cheeses at great prices. If you're putting together a cheese plate or a recipe heavy on the cheese, stop here first. I was lured in by their German items that come out around this time of year too. We tried the savory strudels which were okay but I'm not dying to get these again. Main detracting factor here is the 25 cent cart rental (keep a spare quarter handy in your wallet) and how instead of bagging your groceries they just dump everything in the cart and you have to bag your own. Due to those two factors I generally prefer to shop elsewhere unless I am baking or really want to save on staple items.

Peggy had a bad day"…read more I'm honestly disappointed. Usually my experiences at Aldi is always a pleasant one. Almost to the point where I've said "thank you for being so nice" to a cashier that normally works there, it's just unfortunate that today was not the case. I had maybe 6 items which I already had a bag for so I didn't bother to grab a cart that I'd normally do when I'd come to shop. I put my items down and the cashier at the register said " Peggy is is about to open you can head over there. I get it, she was probably about to leave for the day or whatever but I did what I was told and placed my items on the next runway It was OBVIOUS that Peggy was already having a bad day so as she came to the register I smiled and said "thank you" Peggy then started tapping her hand and and firmly said "next time if you needed money for a cart we have it right here!!" I apologized and said " well I only have a few things and thought that it would not be a problem " Guess I was wrong because she then said with the same tone "well when you don't have a carriage it slows me down!!" I looked over at the next customer and she had a FULL cart of items so the next transaction was going to take a little more time than my 6 items which she jammed into the bag I had. But she wasn't done, after telling me my total she blurted out " you see how expensive things get?!?! " I just said thanks and told her to have a better day and left I'm coming off of a 10 hour shift and still needed to head home and cook for my family. I didn't need her attitude whatsoever. I can guarantee that if the tables were turned and it was me I probably wouldn't have a job any longer. I wanted to call and ask to speak with a manager but I felt that this would work just as well. Hope you had a better day Peggy, take care. Praying that my next experience at Aldis is better than this

I prefer to patronize businesses in the town I live in and don't like to write negative reviews…read more Unfortunately, the only positive thing I can say about the store is that many employees are friendly and helpful-was happy that an employee told me why I shouldn't buy the lobster rolls this year. Big Y is the only store in Massachusetts that does not sell bagged organic apples-I have mentioned this to some in the corporate office and I know that one of their suppliers have asked the store to sell these-was told that they make more money selling loose apples. I tried their hot chicken wing bar twice and both times they were overcooked-guess that's an issue there. There are some basic items that I have to purchase elsewhere - frozen grassfed burgers, quick cooking steel cut oats, organic flour tortillas (even Walmart has these), previously frozen wild salmon at the counter where they cut what you want. The store manager is a hard worker but guess he is quiet because I can barely get him to say hi to me. I have never seen him interact with any customers. I am hoping that after someone reads this review they will be interested in improvement.
