This Shaw's has food items we love that other grocery stores don't carry. When shopping for pickup, order have been flawless in my experience. It's nice to place an online order and the shopper finds all items - doesn't get tired (or bored?) and bail out, marking items as "out of stock" when they are on the shelf, like they do at Walmart. Delivery orders, however, are a nightmare. Constantly delivering to the wrong address despite multiple corrections. Canceled my delivery trial - you couldn't pay ME to tolerate this. This store is disgustingly. No one works there. Monday at 10:00 I tried to checkout a basket full and only one checkout line was open. At the same time there were two women just walking around waiting for what apparently was 10:30 when they go on the clock. There was a woman who looked like she could have been a manager bagged our groceries. Where are managers and employees? This is not my first review, a year or so ago I suggested they close the store. Best pickup service around. I like to order and pick up my groceries so I don't buy items I don't need. I go to area businesses and Shaws wins. They usually have all the items. you can interact with the shoppers, you have all day to pick it up, and when you get there it's never more than a 5 minute wait They verify it is you by a number on your phone and they put it in bags for you in your car. I called and placed an order for 2 cooked lobsters for NYE. I asked if they could be ready by 4:00 pm, it was around 11:30 am when I called. When I arrived to pick up the lobsters the kid at the counter looked clueless and said he would check in the back. He came out with a bag, I gave him my name to confirm it was mine, but he said there's no name on it, even though the person that took my order asked for my full name. I stepped away, but before checking out, I looked in the bag. They weren't cooked. I brought it back to the counter. He said he could cook them, I said, are they even alive? I waited around for a few minutes and when I looked back behind the counter the kid said one of the lobsters was dead. I told him to forget it and left, called Hannaford and they managed to get me my cooked lobsters 20 minutes later. Very frustrating as I needed the lobster for a special NYE dinner and the guy behind the counter couldn't even muster up an apology. October 16th, 2022, Time 5:20 PM Est, I went o Shaws to pickup some Singature care Nasal Spray Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride 0.05% Pump Mist, I need about 4 of them, its the best Nasal spray out there from Afirn brand. it does not burn your nose when you use or have a weird taste if you swallow it.. But anyway I went there to buy some cause the week before I talk to the young manager there and he said he would have them call it in for re-stocking and they never did, and I had to have customer service page him to come to the desk and it was already in the front by the checkouts and I called out to him and he came over and I told him there was No Nasals sprays at all on the shelves where their supposed to be sold and No Singature Care Nasal Sprays either. he said okay lets go check it out and he said I will get some one in stocking to help us out on this and this time when he came up to the shelves where they sold them at, it was a woman, not the big over weight guy that was head of stocking before and she checked and she said yeah, it was ordered just they never sent them from the head office of Shaw's, she said I can have them re-ordered, but does not mean they will come in, she was acting like Glenridge Gardens Assistant manager Heidi with the same attitude, not wanting to help out any one or do her job, other words "Crabby" and mean !! I looked at the young manager of shaws and I said your other worker was better and got the job done and made sure the items came in on time, what you got here, is not working and her attitude not good. So I said yeah, have it ordered but I am not the only one who needs this its other people too and look you don't even have the brand Afrin Nasal spray on the shelves either. This grocery store is dirty has poor pricing and no pricing on alot of things you look at. I'll shop elsewhere.

I've been using their delivery for a month now. Covid 19 delivery has been wonderful. Cheery responsive staff and plenty of toilet paper and supplies that can't be found elsewhere. I miss picking out my own fruit and produce but have been pleased with what I have received and let's face it, in these times we are just so lucky to have our food delivered at all!!! A little pricey for sure but these are special circumstances. I fully recommend their delivery service. read more

So I shopped at the Augusta maine shaws on September 13th everything was great it looked like deli was cleaning up for evening but the gentleman still served me with a smile finished up and went to register the cashier upon putting our groceries on belt looked like she was disgusted she had more customers we got no greeting except do you want bags! Really like this store. Staff are always friendly and courteous. Store could be updated but always find what I need and the sales are great. I find some regular priced items more expensive than hannaford but can also say the same about hannaford. Meat and produce are the best departments. Always something on sale! read more

Would you mind to stop selling ROTTEN food? We have come home multiple times with produce that is inedible.

Staff is cheerful and accommodating. Watermelon is the best quality and price in town (yes, I want it year round), and there is a variety of gluten free items that aren't simply replicas of what you find elsewhere. Things must have changed in two years from your earlier reviews. read more
