Bought a 1.5 lobster and flavor was really off. It should have been succulent but it was not at all. There was no food in the intestine and the liver/tamale was pale - leading me to believe they are starving and unwell. I didn't feel good the next morning, either. This place is solid! We have gotten lobsters here for Mother's Day a couple years in a row and never had a problem. Friendly service, good food, and conveniently located. Also they have a cranberry cheese I am hesitant to even mention because I don't want them ever selling out but it is wicked good. read more

We had to stop and get some lobster to go as we left Maine. We came in and loved that they had a little bit of everything in terms of frozen prepared seafood, frozen seafood, fresh seafood, lots of lobsters. We got 2 lobsters 1.5 lbs soft shell (i know this is personal preference here) and 1 lb of steamer clams for $40. What a great deal especially since when we were up in Acadia , a lobster roll itself would cost us $39!. Okay folks, on my brief week long journey to find the best, mouth watering, belly filling, fresh Lobster roll, for a reasonable price... ...Augusta Seafood earned my trophy of sheer delight. Rolls: Served either 4" or 8" (YES PLEASE), fresh sub style with nice crust, not grilled. The Lobster: Freshly, chopped tail & claw meat with whole "thumb" claw. The Lobster Roll: Served without any stuffers such as lettuce, celery etc. Just lobster and light creamy butter sauce. Jammed packed with just Lobster . i bought 4 lbs of steamers and got very sick, they were old probably dead for a while all three of us got sick.

After looking at the reviews of the large tasty Lobster rolls I was ready for deliciousness. Unfortunately the actual roll was small. It looked like a little bit of Lobster on a small hot dog bun. I had Two Main guys roll the day before and that was far superior to Augusta Seafood at a better price. read more

I came to buy some lobsters and steamers. The quality of the products were good and the service was excellent. I was able to get what I needed quickly with a bit of side chatting. Excellent lobster, cooked just right and packed in a foam cooler to keep them hot. Prices are on the high end. We also had their " very clean " steamers which had no sand and were very good. There were about a dozen that did not open in our 2 pound purchase. read more

We saw the reviews that said the lobster roll here was better than the Red Barn. We thought we'd give it a try, even though the outdoor seating looked more like yard sale goods waiting to be taken away--in fact, we parked in the drive of nearby Savage Park to eat. This really is takeaway only. But the rolls were large, with flat sides grilled brown in butter. And more, as my wife exclaimed, "No lettuce; just lobster!" (I note that the lack of lettuce allows the lobster to cling to the sides of the roll, preventing or reducing unwanted spillover.) Overall, two rolls (with chips) and two sodas cost just over $35, but it was a marvelous sandwich. "That was worth waiting for," says my wife. read more

GREAT lobster rolls! You think it just a seafood market but they will make you a great sndwich!

First off it's not a restaurant it's a (small) seafood market that does make sandwiches (Lobster Rolls) to go however they have a couple of tables out in the parking lot for those who wish to use them. Mom and Pop shop feel and seems like much of the shelves are not high turnover items. Lobster Roll wasn't bad but seemed like too much mayo... Not bad but I have had better. They do make to go orders for people to pack for the plane (live lobster to go :) but the price ain't cheap. While I can say I will visit them again if I am ever in the area I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a favorite either. read more

This is not a restaurant - more of a seafood market that also sells lobster rolls, But we were driving through to Bar Harbor and just looking to grab a quick lunch, so it was perfect. I bought 1 1/2 pounds of clear lobster meat on Saturday 4/30/16. When I got home and opened the containers the meat had a strong smell and there was liquid in the bottom of the containers. The meat had spoiled and was inedible. I emailed the store and they did not even bother to respond. I understand that fish can go bad but I was upset with the lack of response. We were in Augusta and wanted a lobster roll for lunch. We ended up leaving with fresh salmon and fresh tuna for this week's meals along with two lobster rolls for lunch.
