Great little store They have whole main lobsters for sale which they will cook for you one and a quarter pound starting at 11:99$ a pound. Much cheaper than the coast I'll tell you. I chose to get a lobster roll with butter. The lobster was tender, juicy fresh delicious, and cooked perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better lobster experience. Now the bun was another thing. It was totally soaked in butter and fell apart. There was some lettuce on there which got completely soggy as well. The bun was a loss, but the lobster was a win-win win. If you're driving by Farmington, anytime, I suggest you stop in and get you some lobster you will not be disappointed..

We chose the homemade hummus with feta and olives to start off. Fresh, delicous and a perfect start. For entrees we had the fresh baked haddock wrapped around a filling of crabmeat with roasted carrots and grilled zuccini. The fish was succulent and oh so melt in your mouth deliciousness. The sides were fantastic. The grilled flat iron steak was just a tad over the requested medium rare, but was tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and roasted carrots were the perfect accompaniments. All portions were generous. There was live music, subtle and soft, and it added to the enjoyment of our meal. Love the decor and the service was friendly and efficent. Parking can be a challenge but we found a spot across the street quite easily. We highly recommed and will return. I encountered some tough times and went to go get a meat package, and I found out that the current owner bought Fuller's four years ago, and my gift certificate was from before the sale. So my $150 gift certificate is now worthless when I could use it the most. I spoke with the owner and he said that they do not honor any of the previous gift cards even though they bought the store, clients, reputation, store name, etc. Needless to say, I do not recommend this store, and will never be going back. I also wanted to caution all customers to think twice before you buy a gift certificate there, because if it changes owners again, you will be paying a lot of money for a useless piece of plastic. The store will take all the previous clients, but won't honor it's previous obligations, so that is $150 of my grandmother's money into the garbage can. Buyer beware!

Everyone here is super friendly - stepping into the Middle Road General Store, you'll witness lots of neighborhood folks, locals, and old friends catching up. Coming here makes me instantly nostalgic for days of my childhood spent biking or walking to this place - I'm sure I've been here hundreds of times over the years. While most things I've gotten here have been very good, the real treasure is the baked goods - their freshly baked bread is awesome, and their cinnamon rolls are legendary. Also a big shoutout to their Tourtiere Pies, which are wonderful, though they may be seasonal (if you've never had Tourtiere Pie, you need to remedy that right now!).
