The biggest disappointment was that there weren't enough fresh items (for a store called "Fresh Market"). The leafy greens section of the store was fairly sparsely populated. The market should work to find some local producers (or at least closer to MA) and educate shoppers on the importance of fresh vegetables. It's worth seeing how they develop the store once business starts running.

I've gotten great service at the fish counter, and I save time shopping by using their self scanner and self checkout. I find Stop & Shop to be more expensive than Market Basket or Shaw's for many comparable items, but their weekly sales are decent and often drive my shopping decisions. It's easy to take an old store like this for granted, with newer Whole Foods, Wegman's, or Trader Joe's nearby, but I'd be very sad if this store ever closed.
