I had a flat on the front tire of my Indian Chief Vintage. I was dreading trailering the bike 70-80 miles to get it fixed. I called Shawn and he agreed to do the work. I delivered the bike on Thursday and picked it up on Friday. He replaced the tube and tire completed a safety inspection of the bike and topped off the oil for about 1/3 the cost of an Indian dealer. Shawn is a professional. He runs a one man shop that is clean, neat and efficient. I was so impressed with his work I left my spouse's Honda Interstate with him for a safety inspection and to research a battery drain issue that has srumped 2 Honda shops and 2 multi brand shops. Big shout out to Shawn, he took his time and custom made my brake lines on my new Suzuki VSTROM 1050 so I could use some 1.5" back and 1.5 inch high ROX handlebar risers. My motorcycle had a fuel problem that I couldn't figure out. I've been tinkering with motorcycles all my life. I'm almost 60 years old now. He is fair and honest, he will recommend things to make your bike better (but will also happily "do it your way" if desired). He doesn't charge RIDICULOUS predetermined Factory set pricing rates and instead works at a very fair "shop-time" rate. He will not cut corners (unless you advise him to do so) and he communicates very effectively - like a regular person, rather than somebody who knows it all. And he has been doing this since 1989, so he probably - does, know it all! Just contact him and you can tell instantly that you are not getting that "Big Dealer" runaround - and typical double-talk! Purchased a CBR 600RR with a ignition switch ripped out (someone who tried to steal the bike). Shawn was able to quote me over the phone, order the part without taking a payment (trust). Part came in sooner than expected. He installed the ignition switch and new gas cap. The gas cap was cheap quality but he warned me if I went with something other than Honda we might have issues (gas cap seal sucked and could smell gas in my garage so I re-installed the old cap back on at home) Shawn also did an initial quality inspection to determine if there were any big issues with the bike before I left. Great experience! Took my DRZ400SM to Shawn for some maintenance work - carb cleaning, oil change, new tire. He did a great job. I got the impression he was very honest and paid great attention to detail. His prices were completely reasonable. I was very happy. I'll be back! I won't be going back to Woods Fun Center. Shawn is great! The downside of a one-man shop is that, if something happens, it can drastically slow down how long the work takes to do. In my case, Shawn got jury duty and that pushed everything back several days. The advantage, however, is that Shawn takes the time to walk you through everything and, since he's the one who worked on your bike, he can tell you everything he did and he recommends. I found Shawn's Cycle here on Yelp. I've not picked up my bike yet so this review may get edited but I'm thinking it'll just get better. After terrible experiences at Woods Fun Center I brought my CBR1000 to Shawn to swap out the coolant. First and foremost his rates are very fair, $70 per hour. He also is only charging me one hour to swap the coolant when Woods quoted me two hours. I couldn't even get Central Texas Power Sports on the phone for a quote, they're just too busy to answer the phone. Second he told me my bike would be ready today at noon. I've sat and waited for more than 8 hours at Woods so when Shawn called me right now to say he was running a bit late that really scored some points in my book. My boyfriend had an old Harley Davidson that needed quite a bit of work done to it as he hadn't been able to ride for years. They took it in, gave him an estimate and started working on it. When anything was more than the estimate given he would receive a call before they did anything. After finding this shop on Yelp, I was very impressed and definitely the best shop I have ever dealt with. Shawn was very helpful with fixing a small leak on my Ninja ZX6R. He updated me every step of the way and was very straight forward with the time estimate and price of the repair.
