It had been a few years since i purchased new glasses and i decided it was time to go to any eye…read moredoctor to see if my vision changed any and if i should purchase them. Glasses aren't cheap, and certainly i try to extend the life of my glasses as much as possible. I always try to buy great frames and get lens with all the bells and whistles including transitions etc. The better the quality, the more likely they can last you a few years. I have had both good and bad experiences at other eye doctors and eye care centers when buying glasses down in my old home town in Miami, FL. Since i am new to Van Wert, i tried looking up places near my home for reviews. Sadly, not a lot of info. So i decided to roll the dice and i called Van Wert Family Eye Care to make appointments for my entire family. Glad i came! Beautiful place, friendly staff! I was very glad to find the name brand frames i am used to shopping/buying, especially Nike. What impressed me the most was how high tech this place was! So besides the normal eye exam and eye dilation etc, they take a picture of your eyes using a special camera. It was fascinating when my eye doctor showed me a picture of my eyes and did an in depth explanation on what is going on... both good and bad. I learned a lot! This was definitely something i had not seen anywhere else. In retrospect, wish i had gotten a copy of the picture. My other major surprise was both the time and price to get my new eye glasses. Like i mentioned in the beginning of my review, eye glasses are expensive! I was expecting a high price but found that it was half of what i would normally pay in my old eye care center! I also got my new glasses in a few weeks (two if i remember correctly)instead of well over a month-month and a half in my old place. If you need new glasses or an eye exam, go to Van Wert Family Eye Care!

My family and I moved to Van Wert, OH from Miami, Fl about one month before the pandemic hit. It is…read moretherefore ironic that one of the biggest changes we have experienced with moving across the country centered around our health. This is something we continue to deal with because one thing we realized coming here was... that Miami healthcare is absolute garbage and that my new locality has better healthcare. Perfect example of this would have to be in regards to dermatology. For years... YEARS! I suffered not only with acne but with a skin condition in the back of my scalp... including my brother as well. I had it since I was in 9th grade. The condition was painful, sometimes more and sometimes less depending on how bad the episode was. Sometimes the pain would be mild, sometimes it hurt so bad it was awful to lay my head on a pillow, sometimes it just hurt that bad by itself. I went to dermatologist after dermatologist, trying to find a way to fix this. They all gave me different opinions on what it was and different treatments. I cannot describe the amount of different pills, ointments, and shampoos I tried for the condition... they didn't work or didn't work for long. One shyster told me laser surgery would fix it... yeah he couldn't explain how though... i didn't do that one. My brother and I started treating with Dr.Gray in Lima in June of 2020. We were both pretty jaded with all our prior dermatological experiences and expected to keep going thru this for the rest of our lives. For about half the year, we tried different pills and ointments that did not work until he decided that the way to finally fix this problem for good was to take isotretonin. It was a long treatment starting in January 2021 and ending in July...requiring constant check up with him and bloodwork because the medicine is very strong. Dr. Gray even was nice enough once we were starting to stabilize to do e-visits after our working hours as it was hard to constantly take off work. He would tell us to keep the faith that we would get thru this and it would get fixed. You know what though? It worked! IT WORKED! I can't describe what it feels like to be finally free of this problem after years of this. This man is a miracle worker! I pray that it would stick and except for one brief and flare up (i think due to stress), i have been pain free. I am thankful I tried one last time and got treated by Dr. Gray. I always tell everyone I speak to now, if you have a skin issue or need to see a dermatologist... you NEED to see Dr. Gray in Lima.

I dropped the vehicle and remote starter off at 12:55pm and gave them my cell phone number and they told me it would take about an hour and they would call me when its ready. After not hearing from them for 2 hours and since my home was an hour away and I was tired of just hanging out in town, I stopped back by their shop and they said they were just starting on it because they had 2 emergencies come in. What possible emergencies at an auto sound shop, I don't know, but anyhow I waited. Overall it took 3-1/2 hrs to get the 1 hour job done, but they did a good job and were friendly about it. They also charged me $50 over the quoted install price $285 total including labor, bypass module, and wiring harness, plus I bought the remote starter myself so I had a total of almost $400 in this experience, a lot more than their advertised $140 remote car starters - installed on the front of the shop. 3 stars averages out for friendly and good service, vs misleading pricing and putting 2 walk in customers in front of my scheduled appointment. I think thats a pretty fair review.

People in here were very friendly, the pieces of furniture were nice but I didn't find any living room sets that made me want to buy it. Also I was looking to buy appliances and they do not carry Samsung, which is my favorite brand. Still the staff was so nice, I think it deserved this rating. But this complex off Elida Road on the eastern edge of Delphos is one behemoth furniture store with cavern after cavern of showrooms selling wares for every room in the standard American house and porch and patio and summer yard. It has a throwback philosophy was my impression, that harkened back to when sales & retail was a decently paid gig staffed by competent people who knew their stuff, was outgoing and friendly, and seemed to like what they were doing. ( before the brass of large retail companies thought saying money on payroll justifying slashing talent away leading to the low quality customer service we see too much today.) The staff was helpful, friendly, and kept busy changing out displays and helping visitors. Large showrooms allow for a wide variety of styles and choices. There were more on display than you find in big box furniture stores in Columbus. Sofas aplenty, coffee and end tables included, recliners and accent items, bar stools and bar chairs of standard and nonstandard heights, dining room chairs of many styles, desks and office furniture, real bookcases, affordable bed sets and bedroom sets, and bookcases armoires, display cases, and other miscellaneous items. They also sell appliances: dishwashers, cloths washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerator. This is high quality stuff but not too crafted to be out of a middle class budget. I help a friend get a sturdy, fantastic look desk to make a landing in a home office. If you live in the Lima area and need decent furniture, this is a place to spend a few hours.
