I have 3 Jeep Wranglers and would like to convey my experience with Joe Cooper Dodge in Shawnee…read more 1C4JJXFM7PWxxxxxx - Black Rubicon Ecodiesel 1. HPFP recall performed a. Left engine cover unbolted and I had to scrounge up bolts to secure it in place b. Recall procedure calls for a placard to be placed in the engine bay specifying that the recall was performed...I have no placard 2. Brought it in for CEL for camshaft position sensor a. Camshaft position sensor was replaced 3. Needs wire harness TSB performed after CEL for camshaft sensor keeps showing up a. Part came in i. Made appointment for TSB to be performed. After 4 days and promises of repair (not happening when promised ) I took my Jeep back home (still not fixed) 1C4JJXFM7PWxxxxxx - Black Rubicon Ecodiesel 1. Brought in for one of the free oil changes a. The mechanic tried to put Rotella T6 oil in it. Parts department and service advisor insisted that was the correct oil. I advised them that Jeep (Stellantis) voids warranties when this type of oil is installed. The manual calls for MS12991 spec oil...not Rotella T6 (meets none of Stellantis' specs for the Ecodiesel). Makes me wonder how many Gen 3 Ecodiesels have been ruined by Joe Cooper. b. Told the service advisor to only change oil and rotate tires (the way I wanted them rotated). Do not take my Jeep apart. i. Had pieces brought to me like air filter and cabin air filter ii. Tires rotated wrong iii. Stripped air box bolt holes by utilizing an electric impact wrench on them (talked to another customer weeks later that has the same stripped air box after a Joe Cooper visit (how many are like this?). I watched this happen from the window into the service area...this has since been blocked so you can't see in. 2. HPFP recall performed 1C4JJXFM1PWxxxxxx - Black Rubicon Ecodiesel (Painted Tan) 1. Brought in for weak batteries a. Watched tech drive it in, park it, never touch it. Tech drove it back to check in bay. Service advisor tells me it all checks good (no way...it was not even looked at) 2. DPF replacement after it fails to regen and goes into limp mode (many times) a. Installed a cracked DPF that never regens and sends me into limp mode again...why install a known bad part? 3. DPF replaced again due to cracked one a. Asked if it was being kept locked up. I was told "yes" it is locked in the lot. Drove to Shawnee and my Jeep was unlocked in the lot 4. HPFP recall performed a. No placard in engine bay for this recall (but it is in the instructions for the recall procedure) i. Brought it back in and got the placard filled out and placed in engine bay 5. Turbo replaced after it goes into limp mode that CEL calls out "actuator" not actuating as commanded a. I was told it would cost me 800.00 to remove my after market skid plates to do the "tub off" procedure to get to turbo i. I installed this stuff and I know it does not touch the tub at all ii. Supplied email from Metal Cloak (maker of skid plates) that states "dealer shenanigans" and that tub comes off without skid plate removal...none of the bolts for the skids touch the tub...all frame stuff 1. 800.00 goes away all of a sudden b. After turbo replacement electrical issues begin i. Would not start and batteries were dead (all sorts of electrical issues present) ii. Found winch not connected (but this is not the problem) iii. I charged batteries iv. Brought it back and it all "checked good" v. Dead batteries again next day and no start vi. I replaced main and aux battery out of pocket 1. New batteries dead vii. Brought it back in again and "checked good" 1. I even asked about ground straps and if they had checked them and was told they were all checked viii. Started looking at it myself when I got home 1. Found ground points to frame not secure (fixed this myself) a. Sent video to service manager showing this lack of detail after being told it was all good ix. Bolts left out of fender liners x. Bolts on rock rails left out Was also told by jason valentine (GM) that he would reimburse me for the money spent on the batteries...not the truth.
