I've eaten at Lebanese restaurants from coast to coast. I've had not very good falafel only a couple times. This stuff was horrible. I'm guessing the only way you could mess it up that badly is to use rancid oil in the fryer and not change it for month after deep frying roadkill in it. Tabouli might be made differently in some places. Theirs wasn't terrible, but pretty much all just parsley with some tomato; couldn't detect anything like lemon, contained none of the usual bulgar. If you really just want to eat parsley, have the tabouli. read more

Ive been to tons of shawarma places but this is by far my favourite one I've ever been to. I know some lesser authentic places dunk sauce all over their meat to hide the quality but this place the chicken is cooked and seasoned to perfection. The rice options are great. I love this place and my only negative is I live in vaughan and don't get to go to Windsor often. If I did id defintely frequent more often. I highly recommend this place. read more

Excellent shawarma, they are open late, just expect some rowdy individuals at night due to being in the bar district. This place does a lot of business, for a reason. Very good shawarma, my go to place when I'm downtown. I've started eating their chicken shawarma plate, as they'll give you 2 pitas breads (if you ask) and it's so big, you can split it with someone making it a dinner for 2, for $10. Employees are friendly, I think the older guy is the owner. Cheap, fast and good eats. Much better than filling up on greasy fast food. The garlic spread, I'm addicted to it. It's worth it just for that. I dip their little potatoes in it and smother my pitas in it when I make them myself. read more

I try to make a stop at this restaurant whenever I go downtown! I always get the chicken shawarma combo, and it's absolutely amazing (not to mention a great price)! The chicken is deliciously seasoned and juicy, and the garlic spread that they put on the shawarma just makes everything taste perfect! Also, I have to mention the staff! This is a staple of my late-teens, early 20s. We came here every time we went to Windsor, after we left the club. The food has been consistently great for the almost 10 years I've been coming here. They have the best chicken shawarma in Windsor. Their garlic sauce has a great flavor, but isn't so potent that you can't speak to anyone without killing them with garlic breath. You can customize your sandwich however you like. They also have fresh falafel, spinach pies, hummus, and tabbouli. When you come in on Friday or Saturday night, there will most likely be a line wrapped around the restaurant and even outside. Don't let that deter you, they're quick! The staff is friendly and will recommend their favorites if you're indecisive. I wish they would open a location across the river. We look forward to visiting again soon. read more

We ordered two entrees- beef shawarma and chicken shawarma. The beef was very good- moist, flavorful and tender. The chicken was also flavorful, but a little on the dry side. Both were served with rice, salad and pita bread, all of which were excellent. I also ordered one sfiha, and to be honest it was a little disappointing. The lamb filling was a little too soft and lacked flavor- no onions, tomato, ect. However all in all, Shawarma Palace is a great deal- lots of great Arabic food at decent prices. And they're even open late for those who get the late night munchies. If I'm ever in Windsor I will definitely come back. read more

This place is not bad. It was very hard to find parking within walking distance in minus 0 degrees. We got some sharwarmas which were average, not great but not the worse we've had either. They did mess up one of the orders which was supposed to not have any sauces. Also make sure you tell them you don't want garlic with your meat shawarma, I've never had a meat shawarma with garlic before, not sure what this is all about. Also not sure why they charge for paper plates, we took our sandwiches to go but needed 2 plates for the kids, they asked for .50 per plate which is ridiculous. read more

A downtown staple for years. Unfortunately the owners are there less and less and they are really the ones who made this place a success. Steve is a character and I don't even know if he's sincere ... but he makes everyone feel like he is just so happy to see them you have to love the guy. Anyway the food is usually pretty good I say usually as I have gotten sick from there before. They seem to take good care of cleanliness etc so I don't really know what happened but it was more than once. Sometimes I wonder if that chicken is cooked when they get so busy. Prices have gone up and without the owners around as much its not as friendly. I feel the price/value ratio to be expensive for what it is and don't go in very often. However they have been running a business downtown so long the city should give them a medal. No many good clean businesses in the core. I wish the city would clear the panhandlers from the front street and let Steve put a table or two outside. Shwarma Palace should not have to endure panhandlers bothering their customers. Especially when they have been paying taxes and keeping downtown fun for 9 or 10 years. read more

This is my favourite Shawarma place not just in Windsor but so far from what I have tried. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 star is because the staff are not always friendly and can have an attitude with the customers. This is not the case when the owner is present which is often, the owner is hardworking and really cares about his business. What I order is either a beef Shawarma, chicken Shawarma or mixed. They are only $6! The garlic sauce is very yummy be sure to.order extra on your Shawarma. read more

I've never been treated so badly . The owner of this place tried to start a fight with my little brother over wanting a drink that belonged to the owner . The owner told us to go pick out the drinks we wanted from the fridge and in that fridge next to all the rest of the drinks they sell there was a town of 3 monsters , so my brother grabbed one because it looked like it was for sale like the rest of the drinks , as soon as the owner saw him grab it he started yelling at him saying how dare you grab that drink and why wouldn't you ask if that was mine or not before grabbing it , mind you the owner was in the middle of finishing a transaction with another customer . If it's your own PERSONAL drink , don't put it in the fridge with the rest of the drinks that you were selling , my little brother even tried to say sorry and tried to give it back and the guy was still butthurt and was not letting it go . Such bad customer service , an real GOOD business owner would never do that . Never going back to that place . You just lost 5 paying customers over your $3 monster . read more
