Our kids wanted to go to a "foreign country" so we told them we would go to Canada for dinner. We…read morehad never tried Palestinian food so thought this would be a good opportunity. Tremendous food! It's very small and is laid out as a fast casual counter service restaurant. So we thought the food might be street food - but no, it was tremendous and looked as good on the plate as on the menu. We absolutely loved the Musakhan, which has sauteed onions on top of bread. Definitely more than the sum of its parts. We would absolutely order this again. We also really liked the Maqlouba- tasty lamb on top of veggies and flavorful rice. And the falafel was some of the best we've had. The baklava was good, and I think they get it from Shatila. We got another dessert that we liked, but the name escapes me. Guess we need to go back! We had an allergy issue (the chicken kabob sandwich had garlic sauce with mayo in it, and one kid is allergic to eggs), which was a big distraction. But once we got that reaction under control, we got back to the food.

If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Palestinian meal, look no further than Yalla Nakol…read morein Windsor. They're located right across the border, so it's only a short drive away. The name of the restaurant translates to "Let's Eat", and that's exactly what you'll want to do when you see the amazing food. From traditional mansaf and maqlouba to more modern dishes like shawarma bowls, there's something for everyone at Yalla Nakol. The best part is that all of the food is prepared fresh and made to order, so you know you're getting a delicious meal every time. Next time you cross the border to go to Canada, make sure to stop by Yalla Nakol. : mansaf, maqlouba, fatta, qedra ghazaweya, the big trio (chicken shawarma, meat shawarma, falafel), sfeeha yafawia, fried kubba.
