My bother and his family and my dad and my step-mom have been here before dinner. We grabbed some food for an early dinner. We ordered lentil soups, chicken shawarma, falafel, fattoush salad, hummus, garlic sauce, almond rice from shawarma king for 8 people. The chicken and the falafels were both dry, but edible. The hummus is fine. Salad was good at least. Service here is always good for our family.

AMAZING FLAVOR with fresh food!!! I personally can't get over with their Garlic sauce..!!!!! sooooo delicious!! This was our 4th time. We love some Shawarma King at any time!! Thank you for delicious food, Shawarma King!

Shawarma King? More like Shawarma Joker. While the hospitality here is great, the food was absolutely disappointing. My family and I only enjoyed the vermicelli rice. Most of the entrees tasted stale, especially the okra and carrots that were coated in tomato sauce. All the meat were dry. Besides the falafel, unfortunately nothing about the food here was Mediterranean. I quote my mother, "I wouldn't feed this to my dogs or cats."

If you haven't heard of or been to Shawarma King in Kalamazoo, then you're definitely missing out! This hidden gem has the most delicious Hummus I have eaten in a long while. All the people that work here are so nice and welcoming, and you can definitely tell that the food here is made with love! Thank you so much for the great experience, and I will definitely be back next time I'm driving by Kalamazoo.

This is truly some of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food I've ever had. I used to eat regularly at a large buffet in Fort Worth, Texas and although this place doesn't have their variety they are definitely their equal on quality. My wife and I drive an hour and a half each way from Elkhart to eat here.

Falafel of two.... Oh how I wish I could reach through this wretched screen and have you to myself once again.......

Shwarma King... my rock.. my everything... if I could give you 6 stars my love I would. Favorite Shwarma buffet of all time and she is trapped in Kalamazoo Michigan. Their falafel changed my life. If you're ever in town please go here.

Dinner of meat, meat and meat. Perfect for keto, you just have to skip over the falafel, rice, beans and pita breads. Beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, beef kafta, chicken biryani. Delicious but I will say that they were quite dry. Some of the garlic sauce or the yogurt with cucumber really helped to solve that. Very flavorful and the service was outstanding. The young ladies refilling drinks were efficient and friendly. $13 for dinner plus tip. A fantastic deal. [Round number review 11200 overall, 976 of 2019.]

My favorite place for Arabic food! I am fan of the beef Shawerma and hummus There are many varieties of rice, meat and vegetables. It costs around 9-12 dollars per person.

Shish Kafta, White Rice, chicken

Not bad. I don't know of any proper shawarma joints in Kzoo, so this is an approachable option. You want real shawarma? Head to Ann Arbor.

Service sucks. I usually take out falafel sandwich which is great with extra garlic sauce to avoid the really bad wait staff.

Oh. My. Heavens. For…read morethose that don't know, I will only leave a review if I'm extremely impressed or very disappointed and dissatisfied. I'm a huge snob, even when it comes to dive restaurants. I have resolved to only write positive reviews on places that I believe truly deserve the praise they have earned. This is one of those places. This joint is completely unassuming. Sparse decoration, low drop-tile ceiling, brightly lit (too bright for your usual Mediterranean joint), HDTV menus near the front register... But, does a restaurant need anything other than a great menu and delicious, freshly prepared, well-spiced fare to be an amazing experience? I answer loudly "NO!" This restaurant is wonderful. They serve some of the best Mediterranean food I've had, and I've been many places throughout the US and internationally. Finding this in my own back yard makes me so happy to live in GR. My wife and I split the spicy feta fries, which neither of us could stop shoving in our mouths. Now, a bit about me - I survived a massive heart attack five years ago. Five bypasses. Month in a coma. Six months learning to walk again. I SHOULD NOT BE EATING FRIES!! And yet... I couldn't help myself. Each bite was perfection in crispy potato form. And a heavy garlic presence. The toum is worth it. Completely worth it. Gives Sheshco a serious run for best in town. Not greasy or too "mayonnaise-y." She had the shish tawook ("chicken kabob") and I had a gyro pita. Her chicken was stunningly tender and temptingly well-seasoned. Rice was floral and delicious. Hummus, not quite garlicky enough, but smooth and refreshing. And the Nutella cheesecake was heavy and smooth and wonderful. My gyro was obviously done in-house, same as the pickled turnips ("liyft"). love pickled turnips, and I truly believe that these aren't the commercially available jarred ones. Gyro meat was well-spiced, perfectly tasty and amazingly tender. The service was warm and friendly. Wife and I will be back again...and again. We hope to see you there!! Worth a drive and some time. Bring an empty tummy and get ready to enjoy!!

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. The guy that suggested we stop here eats vegan. 01/26

I ordered the Aladdin's Combo and small hummus to get a sample of what they do...and I cleaned all the plates without a problem. Often times with Mediterranean cuisine I feel like the meats get dried out. Not here, that was the juiciest lady's I've ever had. I grabbed a piece of strawberry casada (sp?) cake to go. It's all so good. When they brought my food I noticed how juicy everything was...and the aroma! The smell of everything was enough to happy about. Best part, Jazmin took care of me. She is a young mother with endless smiles and great service. She knows the menu well and will remind you of the classic service we all love. Thank you Jazmin! Congrats on your little one.

It came out in a fast food wrapper on a plate..which is strange in a sit down restaurant. I asked..they said it's the way they do it. If it's freshly made there's no need to wrap it. It wasn't great. I ate the falafel out of it and left most of it. The service was slow. I had to walk to the front to get my bill. The interior is nice and clean.
