Great Food. Came from South Haven just to try this Chinese Buffet. This is by far one of the better ones. Clean and friendly atmosphere.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside but it is a bit better inside. The place is spacious and the seating is not cramped as other buffets that I have been to. The service is good and the waitress was very attentive at removing plates right away. The water refill didn't happen but it's not like we went dry for very long before we left. The food was plentiful but the quality was a bit hit or miss. They don't put out a lot of one thing but probably do so to avoid something sitting out too long. The food was tasty but I've had better buffet food. I am not saying you will not like it but it's just not something I HAVE to come back for. They have some good sushi when they have it stocked. It tends to go dry and takes a bit to refill. The price is pretty good for a dinner. Four of us at dinner prices was ~$56.

Great food and a large selection. Should find something for everyones taste. The only thing I didnt like was the shells left on the shrimp. But for that it was a good time.

We dropped by for dinner when returning from our road trip. The staff was nice and there were plenty of food options. However, most of the entrees were not good. Several chicken items were dry and cold, and most of the veggies were bland. The only item I enjoyed were the marinated mushrooms.

Fast and friendly service. The sushi here is much better than the other buffet on the other side of town.

I have been wanting to this place out for years. I had heard mixed reviews but finally went to test it out. Everyone was friendly when we walked in. Got a table right away and went up to get food. I saw a few servers roaming the dining room, which was much larger than I expected. Also I saw many waitstaff/ cooks replenishing food items. Most of the food was pretty typical of what you'd find in an Asian buffet. The sushi was just eh, only 5 different rolls and none had raw seafood. It was mostly imitation crab. The hibachi was good according to my husband. My son loved the hard ice cream. I don't know why people don't like that! There were about 8 flavors I think and that's great for a buffet! Also plenty of other deserts to choose from.

Best chinese buffet in the area, however the rapid increase in takeout pricing has caused me to look for other options.

Omg, the sushi burritos and THE Ramen noodles!!!!! You have to try it. We enjoyed it very muchread more

Such a cool spot!…read more We visited Toba on a recent Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by this cute little spot! The menu is lengthy with so many options to choose from! We were a little overwhelmed by the choices at first, but we quickly decided to try several different things to get a better idea of the flavors and what we might like best! We started with a house salad, which was so delicious! Fresh, yummy ingredients with a truly delightful ginger dressing! Hugh flavor! Next we ordered the Gyoza - this dish was AMAZING! The dumplings were perfectly cooked and served with a delicious traditional dipping sauce. Also included was a garnish slaw with a spicy mayo dressing - this complimented the dish SO well. This dish was honestly our favorite part of our entire visit and we highly recommend!! Of course we had to try a sushi burrito which is possibly their most unique offering! I've never heard of sushi in a burrito form before Toba, what a great idea!! It's basically a giant, handheld, wrapped up piece of sushi! We chose the Toba Burrito with steamed shrimp, shrimp tempura, spicy crab salad, avocado, tempura flakes, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. This was a delicious combination! Because it's in a burrito the ingredients are thicker compared to sushi, and you can taste each addition better, but my husband and I both agreed that while this was a very fun item to try, we prefer the regular sushi rolls to the burrito. Smaller bites of each combo of flavors is our preference. :) We also got a K-zoo sushi roll which was delicious but not as chilled as I expected it to be. These pieces were large, (bigger than a one bite piece of sushi) but packed with quality, fresh ingredients with really great flavors!! My husband and I both ordered a cup of tea, both were delicious and perfect for a cloudy, rainy day!! There are several options to choose from, we asked our waiter for further explanation and recommendations. :) There are so many more options to try at Toba - we will definitely be back to try more things, the ramen for one! :) The service at Toba was excellent! Our server was very attentive and helpful! Our order arrived very quickly and in perfect stages since we tried so many different things! The atmosphere is modern and seating is consolidated to a fairly small area. We were seated in the cutest front booth, right in the window. Best seat in the house, I'd say! Kalamazoo is beaming with great foodie spots! Toba is a great addition to the downtown scene!! :)

To get started we ordered gyoza as an appetizer My husband asked asked the waitress for her recommendations She recommended the tornado in the firecracker along with the 911 for spice. I got the special California roll along with the Michigan roll and I loved every single bite! The gyoza was also phenomenal. Our waitress was super friendly and on point at all times we spent 67$ for 4 rolls of sushi. The owner (Tony) is usually also working there and being hands on with his staff which is fantastic to see such a supportive boss. It was a busy night for them and they were always on point we waited about 20-25 minutes which isn't bad considering the amount of people there. We will being going back.

The mixed veggie tempura roll in the sauce on it was delicious. The bento box was a very good value. It came with a side salad. However, I was disappointed that there wasn't any sauce for the Gyoza or tempura the fish was fresh! However, their seaweed salad was just.ehh.
